Joe sends followers to capture Claire; Jacob's stress over recent decisions affects his reunion with Emma.

Is this the most incompetent FBI ever seen? They keep getting mowed down in such great numbers, they're going to have to issue a recruiting call.
Why would two agents just nonchalantly walk down the hall of an hotel where their lead agent has just told them he saw "a couple" of suspicious men?
Why does Claire keep surrendering to the people who have taken her son?
Why does a former FBI friend of Ryan's, who's been in witness prptection for years, and obviously knows his way around a gun, and has, by his own standards a great alarm system around his house get taken out by a couple of "Poe death" lovers? What happened to his great alarm system? Why didn't HE have some night vision goggles along with powerful guns? Why did Ryan just park his car outside the front of the house.....not even trying to hide it from the bad guys, who, of course, flattened his tires so he couldn't chase them as they drove away?
Still.....an exciting episode. Mostly because of Jacob's finger in the eye treatment of Emma and his flashbacks to the partner he killed. Why is Emma suddenly so hot to sleep with him? She's a confusing character.
Am I missing something here?

One of the things that really bothers me is the lack of care and regard both Claire and Ryan gave to Ryan's friend. Someone needed to keep pressure on the wounds and Claire ditched him. Then Ryan would have chased after Claire if he could have and just left his friend bleeding out. WTH! Did you notice Claire mouthed "I love you" to Ryan? Obviously, Claire went willingly so Ryan should have gone back to care for his buddy.

You are SO right. Here's a guy who gets his nice, comfortable hideaway invaded by crazies and all Claire and Ryan seem to be able to do is put him on a hard floor and ditch him. I sure hope he makes it....if only to slap some sense into Ryan!
