Very intense episode, but I keep wondering.....why does Ryan keep making the same stupid mistakes every week? First telling the owner of "Whips and Regrets" he'll make sure she's safe and then letting the bad guy drive off with her. And why do they NEVER wait for back-up? Going into that dark dungeon with what....about 7 people? And do they have the crappiest flashlights ever? Don't cops/swat always search in pairs? Why does their communication always crap out when they're trying to tell someone to "not open the cage?" As for Joe and Roderick.....I see a big smack-down (death) coming. That Roderick doesn't like being told what to do. He must have gotten used to giving the orders when Joe was in jail and he's not adjusting well. Liked how Claire stood up to Joe and her reunion with Joey was sweet. Poor Emma (not really....she's a bitch). She's just not going to manage to worm her way back into Jacob's good graces. And when he told her, "that Jacob you knew isn't here anymore.." I shuddered. At least they found the munitions stash. I sure hope it was the only one. "If you mess this up for me...." "Don't you mean, us?" Whew, Joe may be losing control. And with only 4 epsides left, I can hardly wait to see how it all comes crashing down. Oh, and Ryan has a psycho chick for a neighbor. I find that just a little too convenient. Somehow, with all he knows about Joe and the nutjobs who serve him, I would think he'd be a little careful about giving someone the key to his apartment. Shouldn't he be a little suspect of her? Well, Ryan may be a good shot, but he's not great in the relationship game.

SoCal, you covered everything, plus some. I enjoyed this episode, but the next time they go in without back-up, please send them a virtual slap! Why do other departments ever work with them when their body count is so high? I think Ryan should get a million demerits for reneging on his promise to protect the woman. I thought the other agent was the boss so she should not have agreed with Ryan. She gets no points for being reluctant, then caving in.
When it was revealed that Claire’s life was infiltrated by Joe’s people, all of the people who came into Ryan’s life after he met Joe should have been suspect. He’s not really so hot that women are going to be all over him after he dumps them.
Housing two alpha males together is begging for fireworks. Joe hit Roderick so he must think he has Roderick under his thumb, but that is undoubtedly going to end badly. Roderick has started to realize Joe might have more self-interest in their arrangement than is acceptable. Joe is supposed to be giving the group members a foundation on which to live their lives without feeling like outcasts. He is supposed to channel their insanity into a purpose, oh, forget it, they are psychopaths.
