She was the beloved Mousketeer and appeared in some Disney movies including; "The Monkey's Uncle" where she sang the title song and was many beach movies with Frankie Avalon. She was 70 years old and passed away due to complications of the Multiple Scoliosis a disease that she had been battling for over 25 years of her life. She was a fun and easy-going actress who will be dearly missed. I had her on my bucket list this year as she had been so sick for the last few years, so sad news, she had a lot of talent from acting, singing and dancing they don't make stars like that anymore.
She sang the song "Let's get together" from the original Parent Trap movie that stared Hayes Miles the remake is the role that made Lindsey Lohan famous.

Walt Disney made her wrap down her tits as they were big even as a young girl.
She did a lot of B type movies in the early to mid '60 with those forgettable Bikini movies.

My brother had an eternal crush on Annette Funicello! He is a typical baby-boomer and grew up watching Mickey Mouse Club. She seemed like a grounded, down-to-earth lady. From all accounts a class act. I remember reading how she struggled with (MS? cerebral palsy??) for many years..... Thank you Miss Funicello!

This makes me sad... There was an elegance about her. The first two words I learned to sing-spell. M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E.

I saw all of the Annette Funicello beach movies at the theater when I was a kid. I remember once trying to slant a photo of her in a magazine so that I could look down her top. It didn't work. Needless to say, "The Monkey's Uncle" (done with the Beach Boys) is one of my favorite songs. Just look how many people it took to recreate the sound live, in this version done by The Fendertones: Bingo, you've won!

There's something innocent and kind of dirty, that you tried to look down her top. I'm pretty sure I tried that with a Bobby Sherman poster. Although, to what end I have no idea. Verify he had no chest hair??

I think I remember watching the Mickey Mouse Club. I also remember when I was little, mom and I would always sing M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E. Except we would use Minnie, not Mickey. I do remember watching the parent trap though. Here is a cartoon I found: RIP Annette

Disney channel used to play Annette on Mickey Mouse club late at night in the mid and late 90s I would stay up and watch I was out of high school by than, and was in college. I saw the beach movies too I'm hoping they get on Netflix soon, I'm not buying anything at the moment, saving money .
I was hoping Disney channel would play Annette 's stuff in honor of her but no of course not because she's not named Miley,Selena,Demi ect.
What ashame.

Okay, so I do remember seeing her on Mickey Mouse Club. If I couldn't sleep and there was no school the next day, I used to be able to watch TV for most of the night. I ended up falling asleep but not before watching that show.

Disney channel used to run a lot of their old stuff. The shows we of a certain age remember from the old Walt Disney shows and the old Mickey Mouse club. They used to honor their history. Now they just put on programs with painted teenagers who grow up to be sluts. Too bad. Walt is probably crying in his grave.

I saw a TV-movie some years ago where she played herself. She told some children her life's story. And at the time she was having a hard time speaking, but she did a really good job.

The top story on the news on the radio is Korea. Which reminds me. I saw an editorial cartoon where the North Korean officials are all wearing mouse ears and mourning the loss of their leader.
