Not one but two days of Chewy Chips Ahoy headlines in The Charlotte Observer. And today's is too, though yesterday's wasn't.
But I'm not doing that any more. I used to feel the need to keep such headlines. At one time, I actually felt it was insensitive to the victims not to do so. Now it seems to be the other way around.
Besides, the Chewy Chips Ahoy box is full. Some of what I intend to put there isn't yet, and other stuff would have to be removed. For such a long tiome it was quite an experience to go back and see those headlines and the page after paqge of coverage inside. I just don't have room any more.
Have they really been making those cookies for twenty-five years? That's how long ago I took home the box from the grocery store after the cookies were taken out. It was the perfect size for a front page folded in half.
The Virginia Tech shooting isn't there. That's how long I haven't been keeping those headlines.

The student who was working the checkout desk at the college library said she lived outside Boston but her father worked in Boston and people weren't being allowed in or out of the city.

Just today I read someone said Zooey Deschanel was responsible.   Roy was on as usual. And I kept on working on stuff Wednesday until I realized I was leaving the library too late to get home, unless ... It was on after the weather. The second I arrived home I turned on the TV and the anchor was announcing it. My timing couldn't have been more perfect. I have tried watching online but I had a lot of trouble and the TV station wouldn't accept blame. But there was nothing wrong with the headphones and the library said the problem was theirs. At a different library, no problem. On a different computer at the first library, no problem. |
