Annie Parisse (as the ex-partner of Mr. Reese) got blown up on PERSON OF INTEREST....so she could come over to THE FOLLOWING....
...and suffocate as Agent Debra Parker?
She was the only other "good guy" they bothered to do a BACK-STORY about!!!!!
The whole thing with going to see her parents at the cult compound....which is why she became an FBI cult expert.
AND...she was the EASIEST to save!
Weston survived by...luck? Sniper shot at him when another guy walked in front of him....so he didn't die...which I am happy for...
But after Ryan and Weston beat the location of Parker out of the sniper...I thought Parker was as good as saved!
AND as SOON as the Sniper opened his mouth after they tried to revive Parker and failed...I knew he was a dead man...
...although I DID think maybe Ryan and Weston would pick him up by the ankles and beat him against a nearby tree until he was dead...
...but shooting him was a time saver...I guess.
I STILL think the stabbing of Ryan and Claire at the end would have been more out of left field if Parker had survived...you know...last show of the season...none of the good guys died...breath a sigh of relief and then...
...wham...
Logistically...they lost me when they arrived JUST too late to save Parker...they were FIVE MINUTES out when they were talking to her on the phone.
ALSO logistically...Ryan ditching Weston?
...C'mon...
His goal was to save Claire. He wanted Claire to live even if he died. His FOCUS should have been "save Claire" ditch the ego...
And then Ryan and Weston could have grabbed Emma by the ankles and used a nearby tree to persuade her to reveal Joe's location....
(...which would have provided the "scratch" for Emma that you were anticipating ASTOUNDING ANGEL)
Joe is not dead.
Not remotely.
Why would he try to escape from Ryan in the deadend of the boathouse? Because we all know he does tend to think ahead a few steps...so he had things in place...a way to escape and a body with altered dental and planted DNA samples...or the lab person is a cult member...either way...
Joe is alive.
As soon as Ryan said he was going to take Claire back to his place...my first thought was...
Okay...this OBSESSIVE cult was OBSESSED with Ryan and Ryan and the FBI do not ASSUME that the cult knows where Ryan lives?

And the knife he was using is gone...he gets stabbed...Claire comes out of the bathroom...sees Ryan bleeding on the floor...and what?
Did Claire think he cut himself? Because OBVIOUSLY someone cut him!!!!
...and was STILL around...
So Claire SHOULD HAVE STARTED screaming and ran into the bedroom or bathroom and ALERT people by phone or by strength of lung...
ESPECIALLY when Ryan yelled "NO" and held up his hand to stop her...
But...with Claire being Claire...she got stabbed.
MAYBE Weston will stop by for a chat, see what is going on and shoot Molly...
...since there are no nearby trees.
