Sweet, compassionate Dean is trying so hard to take care of his baby brother. What in heaven or hell can Sam be changing into?

I am SO excited about this episode!!!!!! I have been on pins and needles for 2 days now. Just a couple more hours, It's an Edlund script so I am sure he will make us laugh and rip out our hearts.

I really enjoyed this episode. It was dramatic and exciting. Castiel was awesome. He was able to elude Naomi until she had people killed and he never caved in when she was having him beaten; I knew he would not tell her anything. His putting a bullet in the angel's eye was rather gruesome, but the traitor deserved it. I am so proud of Kevin. By pretending to not notice the Sam and Dean discrepancies, he was able to keep Crowley's half of the tablet and complete the translation. I still think Kevin should have been kept safe in the bunker. I have some questions about those scenes, but right now I am too happy to dwell on them. Both Sam and Dean worked well together in spite of Sam's wobbly legs. Good thing they determined where Metatron was and was their usual persuasive selves. Metatron toasted Crowley's butt. When Crowley shot the angels, I thought..."What?!!!" but I can accept his explanation. Good advice from Metatron - I have also wondered what the world would be like if the gates of hell were closed.

I have to admit, I was so excited for this one, that there was no possible way it was going to live up to my expectations, but that was my fault, not the show's.
I still really liked this one, I think Kevin has really changed and matured since we first saw him last year, he was brave, and very smart and never gave in. I guess I don't understand why Naomi would go to all the trouble to find and capture Cas, and then leave him behind for Crowley to get? Naomi is a horrible angel, I will be happy to see her go, but I did find it odd the way she called Cas "angel" like she was something different?
How has Crowley gotten so much power and how did he get Kevin in the first place? I did enjoy seeing him lose Kevin and get roasted.
I loved Cas in this one, he was smart, and brave and never gave in even though he was basically ripped open. I found Cas and Kevin were a lot alike in this episode, both had something they wanted to hide and was trying to keep it safe, and both were hurt in doing so, yet neither one backed down, broke or gave in.
I liked Dean in this one and he was very protective and caring towards Sam, but he seemed a little subdued, though maybe he was just worried and weighted down by Sam, and Kevin's problems.
Jared was great as Sam, his hope that he would be purified was what he seemed to want most, his telling Dean about that in the hallway was beautiful. I love when we get to see J2 act in different ways, and they were both very good in this, and I thought the fake Dean and Sam were entertaining, when has Sam ever smiled that much? LOL
I liked Metatron, and I thought he had very good questions, what are the guys actually willing to do in order to close Hells gates.

Loved it, loved it, loved it. Sam's "resonance" with the Word of God is getting really scary. Metatron is as almost as bad as God with ignoring humanity. Kevin was AWESOME in his dealings with Crowley. I wanted to clap....he was so masterful. And Crowley was so smug. So the dmon tablet seems to tell how to "cure a demon?" Didn't see that coming. Still hate Naomi, but as long as she and Crowley are enemies, she's at least 1% in my favor. Best directed show in a while, IMO. We need more of this Robert Duncan McNeil. I loved his first season "Skin." Only two new episodes left!!

SoCal, this is the first time I was made aware that the demon tablet has the information on how to cure a demon. I was wondering how they would figure that out. I have watched the episode twice and my brain must have been in inactive mode during the first viewing. I'll have to send a PM to tell you what I missed the first time because I am too embarrassed to post it here. D'oh!

Hi Anti and SoCal Anti, Don't feel bad for missing something out of an Edlund script, I have watched 5 times now and am still picking up on things I have missed. I am starting to wonder if Crowley might be some kind of a hybrid- something between a angel and demon? He seems to have more power than an average demon, except maybe for Abbadon.

Thanks, November. I hope we are given a story arc that reveals more about Crowley. They devoted an episode to Jimmy/Castiel so it would be reasonable to write one about Crowley that would make sense of his power. Although Crowley is now evil to the 10th power, he is also a politician who knows how to make deals that are in his interest. The little that they told us about the reason he wound up in hell did not make him seem as evil as others, for instance, Bella. So, there has to be more to his story.
I hope that made sense.

Jotting this down while it is on my mind. When Crowley was choking Kevin, it looked as if the white light was shining through Kevin's eyes. That was strange. Did Metatron astral project himself to rescue Kevin? I need to watch this episode again and again; I don't mind because it is a really good episode.

I was thinking it was something along those lines, astral projection. I know we didn't see it, but I am curious if he picked up the angel tablet while he was there. Just a thought.

I hope Metatron brought the tablet with him. The tablet reacted in Castiel's presence so it probably started break dancing in Metatron's presence.
