Really looking forward to tonight's episode. I'm looking forward to more scenes with Arya, and especially Cersai's 'thoughts' on her father's edict.

In addition to a lot of rabbit skinning, we saw Jon Snow get himself into a precarius position in more ways than one. Ygritte knows that he will betray the Wildlings, but woe unto him if he should betray her. (On the other hand, it's not so easy to find someone who will give you that 'special kiss.') What do you want to bet that the wildling guy who cut them loose on the wall face comes to regret that later? My next favorite scene: Tywin Lannister and Lady Olenna (Dame Diana Rigg--easily my favorite character this season) in which they discuss the possible nuptials of Cersei, whom Lady Olenna says is old enough to be going through menopause, yet also classifies Loras as, as she puts it, "a sword-swallower through and through." The ending scene is another face-off between two master manipulators: Varys and Littlefinger. And unlike the books we find out that Littlefinger is much less subtle and more dangerous than Varys, as we see how he set up Ros to be a plaything for Joffrey to practice his crossbow upon. (Not that we ever had any doubt that Joffrey was rotten to the core.) And in irony, Sansa cries when she sees Littlefinger's ship sailing to the Aerie. In fairness, we know this is more about her desire to escape Kings Landing, but, on the other hand, we know she also has no idea about the kind of man Littlefinger is. Heck, she probably doesn't even know that Loras is a 'sword swallower.' It looks like Game of Thrones is running full tilt into one of the most dramatic events in the series for the season climax--a wedding of a hue that Melisandre would enjoy. I can't wait.

Very interesting and exciting episode. The relationship between Cersei and Jaime must be the worst kept secret in all of the seven kingdoms. Poor Sansa indeed. Tyrion's reputation must surely frighten Sansa although he has no interest in hurting her. His lady friend, on the other hand, might not be of a forgiving nature. It has now been confirmed that Arya has darkness in her heart. I guess I knew that since her daily prayer is for the death of people that she hates. I am expecting Arya to become formidable. There are so many marriages being arranged that I am concerned Lady Brienne might be forced to marry someone in order to gain her freedom. I would probably feel sorry for her husband if that does happen.

Yes, those in Westeros were certainly being charitable when they called Jaime Lanniste "Kingslayer" and not something else. I don't think anything could nearly offend Lady Brienne as much as being forced to wear that pink dress in this episode. You know what is unique about this show for me? My favorite characters are all female: Lady Olenna, Brienne, Daenerys, and Arya. On the guy side, it would be Tyrion. For a show (and the books) to have this many amazing strong female characters is unexpected and wonderful. * I don't know what sex the dragons are.
