Gary David Goldberg has sadly passed away at the age of 68 just two days short of his 69th birthday due to complications from brain cancer. He was the one who produced the two hit television series of Michael J. Fox's "Family Ties" which ran from 1982 to 1989 and later created the hit series especially for Michael, "Spin City" which ran from 1996 until the show was cancelled in 2002. Gary David Goldberg is survived by his wife and his two daughters, one of whom picked out Michael Gross especially for the part of Steven Keaton on "Family Ties" commenting, "he would make a nice daddy." Gary David Goldberg was born on June 25, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York and helped write for many television shows including "M.A.S.H." He also is known for his voice at the end of "Family Ties" and "Spin City" where a black dog is shown and it says UBU productions below the page and the voice says, "Sit Ubu sit, good dog" and then the dog barks. Here is a video clip from Youtube: For more about his life and legacy, enclosed is a video I discovered on YouTube about him in his own words that goes from 1944 until 2008: He will be greatly missed by all knew him and his work. We'll miss you Gary and may you rest in peace!
