They sprung some surprises on us in this episode.
Although Jafar had all three genii, his spell would not work although he tried several times. He released Will from the genie bottle and demanded to know how he was resisting the spell. Jabberwocky volunteered to invade Will’s mind so they could make him cooperate.
Jabberwocky could not read the Knave's fears. Jafar threatened the Knave and Anastasia because they thought Ana had cast a spell on the Knave to prevent his mind from being invaded. The real reason was that the Knave did not have a heart so he did not feel any fears for the Jabberwocky to read.
Cyrus and Alice had sneaked into the castle and overheard the conversation and decided they needed to retrieve the heart before Jafar did. Knave's heart was in Storybrooke. I thought they were going to do a crossover in Storybrooke, but the character from OUAT was the mother of Regina, the Evil Queen. Her mother is a queen in Wonderland.
Let's talk about the Queen. She manipulated Ana and convinced her that the Knave had not waited for her and she was better off marrying the king. The Queen also convinced Will that Ana was not coming to meet him. I was surprised when Will requested that she remove his heart so he would no longer feel the pain of losing Ana. I do not know how Will's heart was returned to him so that he hid it in his apartment in Storybrooke.
I was disappointed that Jafar found Alice and Cyrus as soon as they returned to Wonderland. But what happened next made it worthwhile. Alice had the temerity to tell Jafar she would never give him Will’s heart. Jafar slammed his staff to the ground and Alice fell and dropped the heart. Jafar picked up the heart, but when he tried to kill Alice and Cyrus with it, the staff refused to obey. Cyrus was able to grab the staff and Cyrus’ spells could not draw the staff to him so he ran off with the heart. They realized the lady in the staff was Cyrus' mother.
Jafar viciously shoved the heart into Will’s chest. The next scene was so beautiful…Will and Ana kissed …beautiful music…beautiful lights…then Jafar killed Ana. There are 3 laws of magic - magic: …cannot make someone love you …cannot turn back time …cannot return the dead to life Which one of those rules does Jafar want to break when he gets his all-powerful spell to work?

Okay, all caught up. It wasn't easy.
I thought I had all the episodes recorded, but what must have happened is that I didn't tell the new TiVo to keep the Mar. 13 episode. The problem is that episodes are listed by group, and nothing indicates that an episode in the group is about to be deleted. You have to go to the group to see that an episode has been kept past the time it is supposed to be, meaning that if the machine fills up, it has to delete something. This is shown with an exclamation point.
Knowing that ABC's web site is blocked at the library where I watch videos, I thought I was sunk. There is a new computer I can use at the college library, and while it has sound, I wasn't sure I could get away with watching the episode. I turned the volume really low since the archivist was at the circulation desk (it was his turn to work Saturday), but he was typing and that made it hard to hear. I actually did a search for the episode rather than go to ABC's web site, and it turned out it was on Hulu. Once I verified I was seeing the right episode, I saved the URL and emailed it to myself and watched yesterday morning. It worked fine. The genies' mother was rescued by stolen water but then the brothers were turned into genies.
My favorite part of all the episodes was seeing Alice and The Knave choose between the two doors to get to the well. That was funny.
I also like the scene where the Rabbit lied hoping they would go away.
And I liked seeing them go to Storybrooke. I especially liked how surprised they were by modern technology. And seeing Cora again.
I will not like Jafar the way I like Mr. Gold and Rumplestiltskin.

TheFlashFan Do you mean season finale or the end of the show?
I was happy to see Cyrus' mother was finally free of the staff and I guess the Lady of the Lake freed her. But it seems that nothing is working the way they planned. I guess I will have to wait and see what happens after the spell is cast.

Yes, I agree it was getting better. I have enjoyed it. Since it was designed as a one-season series, we should get a well thought out and entertaining finale.

I liked seeing Alice in a dress and being funny as she ordered Will around.

The article is still posted so I believe it is true. "Hot on the heels of the cancelation of "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland," spinoff series star Michael Socha is heading to the original series "Once Upon a Time" as a series regular. EW reports that if ABC renews the original series -- which is likely, but ABC has yet to make any 2014-15 renewal decisions -- then Socha's Knave of Hearts/Will Scarlet will head to Storybrooke next season. This is great news, as Socha was the clear breakout star of the spinoff series and will add a twist of sarcastic and charming humor to the ABC fairytale drama. However, since "Once Upon a Time" has not been officially renewed yet, this is not a done deal. " courtesy of zap2it on April 1, 2014

goodbye once upon time in wonderland nice way to end a good series like that way I would end it. I agree it was a nice way to end the series. I liked the title also and think it was clever to omit the "happily ever after" which usually follows it. I could not make myself feel sorry for Jafar's father and do not think he deserved any pity. Spoilers if you have not seen the episode.< < < Intentionally left blank< < When Jafar made his father feel love for him, I thought it was rather pitiful that Jafar would go to such lengths for that purpose. Then, I realized his real plan and thought the "drowning" was justice. Other than that, I thought Jafar was a narcissistic jerk. The big surprise for me was what happened to him. That was also justice. At first, I thought the wedding was taking place in Wonderful because we saw Tweedle and the Rabbits, but it was a nice touch for it to take place in England. Did you notice Alice's stepmother was very nervous when she looked at Mrs. Rabbit sitting behind her? Now I need to update my favorite characters list.

The only other recent show that I thought had the perfect ending was "Burn Notice".
Most shows end in a manner that leaves me dissatisfied and "Lost" was the worst culprit I can think of.
