I'd like to watch but it will be difficult.
My TiVo will record two shows at once. In order to tape "Glee" I had to stop recording the part of "Big Bang Theory" that comes after the end is supposed to, meaning the end will get cut off and I'll record it only if I record the next show, but there will still likely be a gap. If that's the new time slot for "Glee" then I may have to use an antenna to watch this show because I think NBC also has something on at this time. The ABC affiliate is the only station that's perfect with an antenna--if it is. Sometimes it has problems too if I'm even walking around the room.
Reason for edit: Added OUAT to thread title to make it easier to find.

In Victorian England, the young and beautiful Alice (Sophie Lowe) tells a tale of a strange new land that exists on the other side of a rabbit hole. An invisible cat, a hookah smoking caterpillar and playing cards that talk are just some of the fantastic things she’s seen during this impossible adventure. Surely this troubled girl must be insane and her doctors aim to cure her with a treatment that will make her forget everything. Alice seems ready to put it all behind her, especially the painful memory of the genie she fell in love with and lost forever—the handsome and mysterious Cyrus (Peter Gadiot). But deep down Alice knows this world is real and just in the nick of time, the sardonic Knave of Hearts (Michael Socha) and the irrepressible White Rabbit (John Lithgow) arrive to save her from a doomed fate. Together, the trio will take a tumble down the rabbit hole to this Wonderland where nothing is impossible. Once Upon A Time In Wonderland stars Sophie Lowe (Beautiful Kate) as Alice, Michael Socha (This Is England) as Knave of Hearts, Peter Gadiot (The Forbidden Girl) as Cyrus, Emma Rigby (Hollyoaks) as The Red Queen and John Lithgow (Third Rock From The Sun) as the voice of the White Rabbit. Once Upon A Time In Wonderland was written by Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz (Once Upon A Time) who serve as executive producers. Steve Perlman and Zack Estrin also serve as executive producers and the pilot was directed by Ralph Hemecker. Once Upon A Time In Wonderland is produced by ABC Studios.
Premieres October 10, 2013 at 8 PM on ABC.

I will watch, but I may have to sacrifice something. "Big Bang Theory" is the obvious choice because the episodes are constantly being rebroadcast. The show following it, if I remember correctly, stars the woman who looks like Hyacinth Bucket. It sounds appealing enough, but I may just have to hope it stays around for reruns.
It seems very likely NBC will have something in the slot.

Things are looking up. I saw a commercial with all four of NBC's Thursday comedies, and even though it didn't give a time for any of them, if they were in order by time, I'm not interested enough in the ones that will air at 8 and 8:30.
On the other hand, a newspaper article I read said analog cable is coming to an end for yet another company. That makes me worry about Time Warner. I will have to spend the money for a second TiVo if Time Warner also goes digital. And given the behavior of my VCRs, that may be necessary anyway. The one I have can record two shows at once off analog cable, but only one off digital cable. And this would be a big problem in that sometimes I don't even know there are going to be two shows on at once that I want to see.
With a VCR, digital cable would not allow me to choose channels. I would have to manually make sure I was on the right channel every single time. This is currently true with an antenna.

It's good enough to keep watching, but not one of my favorite shows. John Lithgow as the rabbit is the best part.
I do wonder why they showed a flashback of Alice's first adventure in Wonderland in which she was the same age as she is in the asylum. She was just a little girl when she returned home after a mysterious absence.
I do like the humor here and there.
Like the show it is based on, it just gets too dark and violent at times. And the Cheshire Cat has never been so mean.
I don't like the mushy romantic stuff, but that was true of Snow and Charming.
Poor Alice. She can't admit the truth, and yet they know she's lying.
I just know that was Grumpy from the original show in the one scene.

The show seems rather violent but I will keep watching because I am curious. I wonder where Alice got her fighting skills.
I remember the Mad Hatter's house from OUAT.
The marshmallow scene was interesting.

I watched it tonight. Now I know her genie, Cyrus, taught Alice to use a sword.
There is a lot of magic in the episode. I liked the magical paper rose and the flying paper bird.
I wonder what the rabbit wants so badly that he would help the Red Queen. At first, I thought she was forcing him, but now it seems he wants something from her.
The Knave is probably not as heartless as he wants to appear. He did help Alice even before she promised him one of the wishes.
Jafar is a cold-hearted murderous magician. The Queen is foolish to be in league with him. He will probably betray her when he gets what he wants.

I'm not really happy with the show. The switching back and forth to flashbacks is confusing, but the other show does that too.
They're advertising this as an epic romance, but I don't like that stuff. Alice is prettier in the flashbacks and nicer as well. Though it's good that she can handle herself.
When they were taking the ferry across the lake, I figured in this world it just might be a fairy instead. I was right.

Kyle, I must applaud you for thinking the ferry might be a fairy. It never crossed my mind and I wondered why they were clapping their hands to call the ferry. Alice does not seem at all sweet in this series.

I'm not enjoying this, but at least the flashbacks are informative.
Too much violence.
The caterpillar had the right kind of personality if this was akids' show, but kids should not watch this.

I was relieved it didn't come on last night.
With the "Saturday Night Live" special and my TiVo situation, I would have had to watch with an antenna. But I was on the phone anyway and it took that long to resolve my problem.

I watched the balance of it. Somehow, I am not getting the feeling that this is a "and they lived happily ever after" type of story.
I thought the Red Queen or sorceror would return the grendel to his original form but no such luck.
I see now why Knave has so many people trying to capture him. He was very selfish and could have gotten the Merry Men killed just so he could go on an adventure. Perhaps he will redeem himself.
Cyrus was clever when he tricked the Sorceror but that was still dangerous.
I wonder what Alice will say to the rabbit if she runs into him again.

"Once Upon a Time in Wonderland" is back Thursday, Nov. 7 with a new episode after taking a week off with "The Serpent," which star Naveen Andrews teases for Zap2it is going to give viewers some insight into Jafar and what exactly he is after.
In the last episode, it was revealed that the Red Queen and the Knave of Hearts were once Anastasia and Will Scarlet and they were in love. So we have to ask -- does Jafar have a lost love in his background perhaps?
"Yes, he does and you'll see that in the next episode," says Andrews. "In the coming episode, what both [creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis] and I wanted to bring to the audience was a how and a why Jafar ends up the way he does." What sort of things that might have happened to him in childhood -- the idea that everyone has a childhood. He wasn't always evil."
Part of Jafar's backstory will presumably involve discovering which rule of magic he is specifically targeting by going after Alice and her genie. But Andrews isn't telling.
"I don't want to give it away," he laughs. "There is definitely something that he is going for -- it's his raison d'être, if you like."
"I think ['Wonderland'] is very enjoyable, it's quite outrageous really," Andrews adds. "It's very brave and daring to bring in, say, someone like Jafar from the 'Arabian Nights' to an English 19th-century classic and somehow create this sort of synthesis and it works."

I'm not enjoying this.
Too dark and too violent.
I seem to be watching a lot of shows with a character named Cyrus.
Rumplestiltskin can be evil and I can still like him. Jafar cannot.

I must admit during the previous episode I did not realize Anastasia was the Red Queen.
I thought this episode was going to make us feel empathy for Jafar, but it did not. I need to remove him as my second favorite.
Alice is very loyal to her friends. Her first wish was clever but very dangerous and Knave was still turned to stone.
I think the queen still loves Knave but she wants power.
I was shocked that Jafar's walking stick is actually the sorceress.

This was a very interesting episode. Much better than the others.
I didn't pick up on Anastasia being the queen last week. But it was an enjoyable Cinderella story.
I feel sorry for the rabbit. That almost happened to Bugs Bunny, who said, "Let's not start splittin hares!"

I like the Bugs Bunny comment. When Jafar cut the rabbit's foot off, I did not see any blood. That made me wonder if we have ever seen blood during any of the battles. It was a very nice love story until Anastasia became too hungry and Will could not provide for them. She went from rags to riches quickly. I wonder what happened to the king. I was surprised the Queen did not keep her promise to Alice, but she is not all bad since she does care about Will. "Pure of heart will make the leap" - I thought Alice was going to walk all the way across until... That was a good scene although I guessed that the little girl was giving Alice a test. Cyrus is a very clever genii, but getting off of that mountain will still be difficult. The subtitle for the show should be "I am coming for you."

Who's Alice

Jafar is actually bordering on likeable, in that strange way Mr. Gold is likeable.
I liked the episode. I hated to see Alice treated that way by her family. At the same time, she sure was pretty there. I liked her sister. Her new stepmom was mean.
Someone didn't get the memo that if sunlight doesn't reach an area, the plants can't be green. Although that was true for most of the "black forest".

I enjoyed the episode. It included some unusual scenes.
Although the show began with Alice in the asylum, it was surprising to see her choose to go there rather than to be forced into marriage. As usual, fairy tales make the stepmothers seem selfish and cruel.
Alice's little sister seemed very sweet. Her father seemed to let Alice come home out of a sense of duty rather than caring what happened to her.
It seems like the head of the asylum was driving himself insane after seeing the talking rabbit.
I was surprised that Knave entered the Black Forest. I thought he would see the darkness and change his mind, but kudos for him that he persevered. As soon as Alice's torch went out, there was bright light and a garden. Very suspicious indeed.
Oh my...what did Knave do with his heart? My guess is that he angrily gave his real heart to Anastasia.
Can a genie die? That free-fall from the floating island was unexpected. I have been wondering how the queen travels back and forth to the island.

I saw in the newspaper TV listings that Alice's father is in Wonderland.
I have a LOT of shows to watch. If not for my new TiVo, I probably would not have watched "Sound of Music" last night, but I had the other one set to tape it.
And the new TiVo hasn't got enough on it to start yelling at me.

This was a really good episode.
Jafar's biological father abused him both psychologically and physically. That was the worse I have seen a parent treat a child and I understand now why Jafar is unloving.
Jafar is very talented in casting spells. He etched a dragon in the sand and it appeared and did what he wanted. He was also able to transform himself into the image of Alice's father. Very well played.
Alice's real father did her a favor when he informed her that the genie had escaped. Now she will not need to drag Knave into a floating basket.
I wonder if Cyrus would have been so willing to free his fellow prisoner if he knew the man's history.

Alice has one wish left and she promised that to Knave. I am surprised he did not remind her of that after she used her second wish.
I am also wondering what the cliffhanger will be.
