I just finished J R Ward's Lover Reborn.
It is the 10th novel about the Black Dagger Brotherhood. They are warriors whose purpose is to protect their race from their arch enemy.
Lover Reborn is about Tohrment's life-long commitment to one mate and to their king.
I have read all of the books and just started #11 because I love the stories.
They should be rated NC-17.

Secrets can kill. A Nancy Drew case file book, read it in less than an hour, based loosely on the pc game by the same name.

The book is slightly different from the game, the culprits aren't the same person at all, some of the characters are the same though like Hal, Darryl, Connie and "Hulk"

I did a random search on the library site under "fantasy" and selected a book about a 22 year old girl who suddenly finds out she is one of few people who can see malevolent faeries. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I am starting on the 3rd book of the series.
The two I just finished (in less than a week) are: ...Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning ...Bloodfever by Karen Marie Moning

Hmm maybe that's the way to find good books I tell ya they seem to be a rare find nowadays when nearly every story is the same

I agree...so many of the books seem to have the same type of characters. It got to the point where I could predict what was going to happen.
I am going to have to vent about one of the books I was looking forward to reading.
Just finished
Silent No More, Victim 1's Fight for Justice Against Jerry Sanduskey by Aaron Fisher
The Knight and the Seer by Ruth Langan

Nearly every book I see at the stores are that way and many books I read are predictable I sometimes wonder what happened to everyone's originality

I get excited now when I read a book that has an original plot. But it is trial and...disappointment sometimes.
I just finished reading Born to Darkness by Suzanne Brockman.
I enjoyed this one.

This is the 5th book in a series and the end to one of the story arcs. I enjoyed the characters and the various plots.

Usually on the dedication page, authors will name people who are close to them. One of the books I just finished had only this on the dedication page: Dedicated to the stranger who said he liked my blouse."

I remember showing the dedication to my grandson and he thought it was cute too, but now I do not remember which one of the books it was. It was one of those I listed above though.

I finished reading King of Darkness by Elizabeth Staab.
I started two other books. I thought the Dean Koontz, Odd Interlude, book might be a possibility for the Book Club, but it is much darker than I anticipated. I need to put it on the back burner.

I just completed Witches of East End by Melissa De La Cruz
The TV series is based on the book and was recommended to me. I tried watching, but the relationships were unclear to me because I had missed too many episodes. When season 1 is repeated, I will watch it. I can already tell they changed some characters like they did with Under the Dome.

I finished reading Obsessed by Susan Andersen.
Description: "A madman's game...
For him, the thrill lies in the hunt. In striking only when the moon is full. In his victims' agony as he leaves them with the perfect calling card: a broken heart carved into their chests..."
Imo, this is a very interesting and enjoyable romance novel.
