I just heard about this show recently but i plan to check it out. It kinda reminds me of Eastwick. Let's just hope it lasts longer than that did. Witches of East End centers on the adventures of a mother and her two adult daughters, both of whom unknowingly are their family's next generation of witches. They lead seemingly quiet, uneventful modern day lives in Long Island's secluded seaside town of North Hampton but soon discover the truth about their powers and heritage. It's loosely based off the book of the same name and premieres on Lifetime on Sunday October 6th @10pm. Here's the preview: www.youtube.com/watch?v=x39BpWsPO_w

Is anyone else watching this? The show keeps getting better the longer it's on. I'd say last Sunday's episode was my favorite so far.

I want to watch it. When I started watching the first episode that recorded, I realized it was not the pilot. I cannot find episodes 1-5 anywhere, not even "On Demand". I refuse to pay from $1.99-$2.99 per episode. I am hoping the network will run a marathon prior to the show returning and I can catch up.
I went to Plan B and put a "hold" on the book at the library, but it has not become available.
Plan C would be for one of you to give me a detailed recap of episodes 1 - 5 so that I know the relationship between the witches' family and the other people.

The show comes back for season 2 on July 6th. I'm hoping Lifetime will hold a marathon prior to it's return. Knowing Lifetime and how many times they repeat the episodes when it airs, i'd say it's likely.

Season 2 is really heating up... Without spoiling it, i would say that so far i have been able to figure most of this season out. But also, there are some things i'm still confused about. I really wish someone other than my mom was watching this so i could speculate about what i think is going on. Melissa? Are you around?

The guys did a good job of deciphering the clue their mother left for them, but they needed some lessons on interpreting the spells. If Freya and Killian get together, that might cause a rift between the brothers. I never trusted Eva. I would be suspicious that Freddy is the creature except that it has a sensual relationship with Ingrid. But it is obvious that Freddy has a dark side.

I actually think there's more of a chance of Ingrid and Dash getting together at this point... She is the one helping the brothers with their powers and with Killian and Eva married it puts a damper on Freya and Killian. But, i would certainly not count out them getting together in the future. I enjoy the different elements of past shows that they are bringing in. Examples: Witches are females while males are warlocks- Reminds me of Bewitched Witches and Warlocks can be either good or evil- Charmed Asgard and another dimension/World- Almost all of the shows i've watched- Angel, Buffy, Charmed, Smallville, Supernatural, etc. This is on netflix I want to check it out. Do it! You will not be disappointed.

I am really enjoying the show. They certainly have tortured the brothers since they learned they were warlocks. It seems like every thing they do leads to them being near death. Poor guys.
I knew we could not trust Killian ' s wife. There are a lot of exciting elements to this show.

Ok, so now we know a little bit more about Eva... I knew she was bad news. But what i don't get is did her daughter (the one she calls her grandma) aging, meaning that Eva hasn't or was her daughter cursed somehow? What exactly happens to her if/when Eva gets pregnant? Is that supposed to save her daughter or not? And how long is it going to take for someone (I'm hoping Freya) to discover what Eva is really doing? What's Fredrick doing? I called that he would choose to do that with his girlfriend 2 episodes ago so i certainly saw it coming but is she going to survive? And if so, how long before it is discovered and will they be able to save her afterward? I thought it was cute how Wendy and her guy (i forgot his name ) have managed to work things out after she turned in front of him. Oh, and i am not surprised in any way that once again James Marsters is the bad guy. It seems to be his theme.

I am wondering if Freddie was able to "erase" the diagram from his girlfriend's torso. Even though she trusts him, she would certainly want an explanation for that "tattoo". I was happy to see Marstens in this. When he guest starred on Supernatural, he turned out to not be such a bad guy after all, but he did have his moments. I enjoyed the scene when Wendy morphed from the cat to her sexy woman form. Her friend got a full frontal view when she turned around and saw him. They are sweet together. I was wondering if Eva could use some hormones or something from the baby to inject into her daughter to make her young again. I did not see the end of the episode because I had to switch to Unforgettable. It is not clear to me if she specifically needs Killian's baby or just a warlock's baby. I remember he got a glimpse of her true old woman form, but he thinks it was a dream or his imagination.

This man just pops up everywhere. [/img] Speaking of Fredricks girlfriend and whats his name: -MAJOR SPOILERS FROM LAST EPI REGARDING INGRID AND FREYA- I really thought when Marsters character told Frederick he had a surprise waiting for him in the garden, that it would be his dead girlfriend.. but NOOOO it was fricken Freya and Ingrid hanging dead. OMG

I am surprised that after making Tommy the vessel, we do not get to see his beautiful person; instead, we get to see Daddy Dearest's face. Bummer!
Why did I expect Killian to be understanding when Dash told him what he did? I guess I expected them to get over it like the Winchester brothers do. Oh well...they certainly trashed the house. Since Killian did not have a normal love for Eva, he should not have anything to do with her people.
I know Joanna is strong, but it seems Marsten might be stronger than her. Her scorpion was unable to kill him.
Gee...maybe they should change their clothes before they travel to the past. They might get tied to a pole with kindling surrounding their feet.

Angel, it seems to me that one of Tarkoff's powers is either cloning himself or astral projecting which is why he wasn't affected by the scorpion sting. I was finally able to watch part 2 of the finale and Wow! Read further for possible spoilers... I don't know if i am liking the fact that Wendy died in order to save Tommy. Giving up her last life may have been selfless but that doesn't mean i have to like it. Now, she's either in hell or purgatory with her sister? I didn't realize that there was another sibling, yet another sister. I still don't fully trust Fredrick but i wonder if that is somehow part of his curse? If the rest of his family is cursed by his grandfather then it stands to reason that he would be too. Oh, and Ingrid is pregnant. I wondered while the story was playing out if the creature was hoping to get her pregnant but after they defeated it i thought the story was over.

Yeah, Markoff does have significant powers that could fool people. I am ready to watch the finale now, but am first posting my reaction to the "Poe" episode.
2.11 Poe Way Out - Joanna, Freya and Wendy revisit one of their past lives; Dash's one-night stand is revealed.
This might be one of my favorite episodes. Poe was very handsome and charismatic and I enjoyed the way they worked him into the story. I am not pleased with Killian’s fate though. I knew he would not answer the phone in time to learn that Freya was alive; otherwise, that would have been frustrating.
I am surprised that Dash is so easily manipulated by the officer, especially after he caught her snooping. That makes no sense to me, but maybe it will make more sense when I watch the finale.
Markoff is back to create more trouble for our girls.
Ingrid fooled me because I really did think she was aligning herself with Grandpa. She said Grandpa is faking his illness. That was also a surprise because her brother seemed to believe the illness was real.

2.12 Box to the Future - A dangerous admirer tracks down Joanna in the past; Killian makes a rash decision.
My favorite part of the journey to the past is seeing Edgar Allen Poe. I love his old world charm and Freya’s reaction to him. I think it is interesting that Freya was the only one who could see him as Killian. The sisters look the same in all of their incarnations so I thought Killian and Dash would look the same. Oh well… I enjoyed the scene where he took the key and got slapped for his troubles.
When Tarkoff snapped a man’s neck to get a change of clothes, all I could do was shake my head. In spite of Tarkoff’s power, he has been compromised by love and I think Joanna will never accept him.
Poor Killian is suffering terribly and now the rest of the serum has been wasted.
Dash…Dash…Dash… How can you keep falling for that woman’s antics? For just a moment, I thought maybe she was really into “Shades of Gray”, but she was willing to do whatever it takes to get her hands on magic.
TPTB must have heard my complaint that after possessing Tommy’s body, we did not see much of him. That has changed and we now see handsome Tommy, although he is evil Grandpa.
I am not amused by Freya’s and Wendy’s slapstick antics.

2.13 For Whom the Spell Tolls Joanna tries to escape from Tarkoff; Freya and Wendy try to find a way back to the present.
The finale was excellent. There was non-stop drama involving everyone. I am glad Freddie tried to help his family, but it did not end well for him. My guess is that Agent Raven left the “death to witches” message. Wendy made the ultimate sacrifice to make up for what happened to Tommy. When she woke up in the fiery pit, I remembered what her father said about her sisters waiting for her. Poor Wendy. Dashiell has a very dark side and he is betraying Killian in more ways than one. Killian will suffer emotional trauma sitting in jail knowing his brother is with Freya. Perhaps when she relaxes, Freya will realize "Killian’s" soul is different. Joanna has now lost both her son and her sister. How will she cope? Tarkoff did not escape through the portal, but he has strong magic so I am sure he will find a way to the present. I thought the magic in the box would harm him when it dropped, but nothing seemed to happen.

...has been canceled! Ughhh after that finale?!?! I'm so mad. They cancel this show but think it's a good idea to make a show about prison wives. This was one of the few all female casts on television. Now we have prison wives.
