Rewatching from Season 1

I have been watching the DVDs and you can really see how they are a tight group.

So far, Tony has gotten the Gibbs' slap twice and McGee has appeared on there like twice,
Ducky has his wit in every episode and Abby has her pigtails in every episode.

Kate Todd is a decent character and my mom think she was meant to be a love interest for
Gibbs at one point but it didn't work out.

Gerald isn't bad just he doesn't interface much with anyone except Ducky.

Let me grab my gear and get ready for another investigation with the team.

Was watching another episode last night, Tony got another Gibbs' slap but later Tony did a slap on McGee, obviously Tony is trying to mimic Gibbs.

McGee interrupted the interrogation Gibbs was conducting, Gibbs told him he better have a good excuse which he did, Kate and Tony both thought McGee was going to get it but nope he didn't!

McGee always calls Gibbs "Boss" like Tony does and Gibbs did get a pair of glasses from his mysterious red-headed lady friend. Kate and Tony both wondered out loud who she was in front of McGee but McGee slyly said before leaving "Oh by the way, Kate and Tony want to ask you something." Tony and Kate just look at Gibbs who has now removed the glasses and they don't know what to say.

Here are some more thoughts about Kate:
She takes too many necessary risks and thinks she can get by of not following rules such as pretending to be Abby before she, Ducky and Gerald are held hostage in the autopsy room. She also in the episode I watched last night, she was in a living room playing solitaire while an escaped prisoner father comes to visit his son who was trying to avenge his late wife's murder.

Kate sometimes spars with Tony somewhat like Ziva and he do later on but yet she rarely opens up about her life and yet wants to pry into the other team members' lives with a few exceptions like Gerald.

I am now on Season 2, Kate takes too many risks still, McGee is now a field agent, Ducky is working with Jimmy off and on, Tony is still a big kid and flirt, Gibbs likes driving fast to scare his passengers and Abby can get away with mimicking Gibbs and sometimes works with Ducky.

The first four episodes of season 2 are pretty intense and nail biting to watch. Kept me in total suspense even to the last few minutes of it.

Am nearly done with Season 2, McGee has gotten one Gibbs slap but Tony got tons more so far. Great interactions between the team, Timothy (mcgee) shows he has backbone and takes risks that work, Gibbs always pulls a trick no one suspects, Jimmy is working with Ducky more and more, Abby loves her Caff-Pow drinks that everyone gives her, Kate is getting disgusted by Tony's antics, Tony did an interrogation alone and is harasssing poor Kate and Timothy but is always underestimating Gibbs and Ducky is wonderful with his nuggets of information.

Onto the next one guys, by the way I found all of my DVD sets except Season 4 up so I have plenty of NCIS to keep me well entertained.

I finished Season 2 at long last!

What a cliff-hanger! Kate is killed and Gibbs must confront her killer. Tony nearly died in
the previous episode and is still recovering from the effects from the plague.

Season 3's first two episodes are intense, Gibbs acts super nice to Tony and Timothy which
freaks out Tony. Timothy still gets a few Gibbs' slaps and a few from Tony and even one from
Abby. Abby nearly gets killed by Kate's killer but Timothy keeps her safe. Ziva arrives on the
scene and so does Jenny (Gibbs' former lover) after the former NCIS director resigned. The funeral
scene was nice after the close call with Gibbs.

A pretty intense start for Season 3. Now for the next one, let me go get my gear for the next assignment,

I am still in Season 3 but this is a side comment, some of Gibbs' movements are like what Mark Harmon must have done while playing football at UCLA.

Timothy got a Gibbs ' slap in the last episode I watched and needs to stop second guessing himself so much, sheesh McGee!

I am nearly done with Season 3, this is just a bunch of side comments from me:

I do not like Jen's hairdo really short where it looks almost frizzy.
In one episode we saw two actors from Star Trek related tv series, an interesting twist!
Poor Ducky, his mom's memory is really bad because she called Gibbs, Matthew, what is interesting is that
Mark Harmon has a nephew named Matthew in real life!
Ziva really knows how to kick butt and she and the others have gotten closer as time progresses.
Timothy wore an MIT t-shirt and if he had gone in the mirror it would have spelled TIM
Gibbs sometimes orders food for him and Jen but rarely eats much.
Gibbs tried Abby's Caf-Pow and found it disgusting and promptly spit it out!
Abby wore a powder-blue suit for a court appearance which was interesting, in commentary they mentioned it was from JAG when the characters first appeared and helped influence the series NCIS to be created.

Excellent question Anti, I am glad you asked!

Abby, Tony, Ducky and Gibbs all appeared on JAG in Season 8 in two episodes toward the end of the season. The layout of those episodes are very similar to actual NCIS episodes if you ever get them. The names of the episodes are Ice Queen and Meltdown if you want to try and find the individual episodes.

Thanks. I was a big fan of JAG but I cannot recall the NCIS team episodes. I checked on Netflix and they do not show it. I will search elsewhere tomorrow.

I just watched Ice Queen. It was a very good episode and I am surprised that I did not see it when it aired. I do not recognize the lady who is on Gibbs team, but I recognize everyone else.

I started watching NCIS when Ziva was on the team. Then I saw some of the older episodes when they showed them again.

Am on Season 4 now, Gibbs had retired but is now back. He now has a mustache which makes him look sophisticated, Tony tried taking over and created 'camp fires' which are mini briefings in the squad room. Ziva is back and still kicks butt, Timothy over-whitened his teeth, Ducky is still working with Jimmy off and on. Poor Abby was over- indulging in her sugar intake to mask her sadness of missing Gibbs and Jenny still under estimates Gibbs.

Well onto the next adventure!

I am now in the middle of Season 4 and here are a few comments from me:

Abby has a midget friend who helps her a lot named Marty, he's a nice guy and Abby treats him like a regular guy.
Tony is dating a doctor and is pretending various things to avoid working with Gibbs but Jenny allows him to do this and Ziva seems to be getting jealous of Tony. Ziva is acting more and more like Gibbs and keeps her guard up. Timothy's sister Sarah came to him after she believed she had murdered someone but her favorite kind of pizza is absolutely disgusting! Timothy meanwhile has written a book under a false name which references of his co-workers. Jimmy shows up every so often and is involved with Agent Lee. Gibbs still saves the day and loses his coffee in the process but he could care less about that because his team members need him! Ducky still talks to the corpses but he reveals information that helps in solving the case. And Jenny is slowly showing she can be a good director of NCIS even if others don't approve of her.

By the way when my mom and I watch it, we can normally figure out who do it, why they did and how they did within 20 minutes into the episode, so when we watch the end of the episode we give each other a high five and applaud our investigative skills. We also comment that Gibbs should hire us both to be on his team because we know our stuff.

We currently watch 2 episodes every Friday night and sometimes one or two of the features on the DVD set so we currently have 12 episodes left to go for season 4 and then it's on to season 5. We may end up watching more once mom gets off work for the summer. Well let me gear up and see if I can solve the next investigation with Gibbs and the others.

I finished up season 4 a few weeks ago but haven't started on Season 5 just yet but here a few comments on the end of Season 4:

Jenny Shepherd has a big secret involving the arms dealer known as "The Frog", my mom thinks he may have something to do with her late father, perhaps we'll find out why she's so hell bent on getting him into custody or even killing him! She isn't much of a team player and is rarely in two episodes back to back, of course with the last two episodes there was an exception to this. Gibbs had to take over as temporary director of NCIS while she was in Paris which was kinda funny to see him trying to run things at NCIS and still be at crime scenes too.

Tony is deeply in love with Jeanne (who is Frog's daughter) but I think it seems to be more one-sided than two-sided but I know their relationship isn't going to continue much longer and he has really changed since his involvement with her, he rarely gets Gibbs' headslaps and rarely teases Ziva or Timothy.

Timothy has really matured since his early days with the team and you can tell how much he still needs improvement because Gibbs constantly fusses at him and reminds him to stop second guessing himself and to start standing up for what he believes and be willing to stand out from the crowd.

Gibbs is still Gibbs but I don't like Holly Mann who is his off and on romantic interest but it is nice to see him showing a light heart moments when things have been hectic but he is great at listening to concerns that the other team has about various issues.

Abby is still affectionate as always and had a potential love interest who was Marty a small person but it didn't work out since the actor playing the character died. She is great at piecing together evidence and has some great insight.

Ducky is still great at his story-telling and he always provides me lots of information about various topics I had no idea about like the exploding body situation that can occur. He is a great analyzer of information and profiling the culprit(s).

Ziva has really changed, she opens up about her feelings some and acts like a jealous wife over Tony since he got involved with Jeanne. She still proves that she sticks in peoples' crawl but isn't afraid of what they think and is willing to be ostracized by others.

Jimmy has been involved with Agent Michelle Lee off and on throughout the season but I know his relationship with her has affected his work so I hope that ends soon because Ducky needs a willing and able helper not a helper who flees the scene every other time something happens.

Overall a decent season, I wasn't overly fond of the season final but it was an interesting twist, I wonder what will happen in Season 5? Hmmmm, only time will tell!

I am on Season 5 and it is getting really good so far. Here are my thoughts so far!

Tony was upset about Jeanne for awhile but now has moved on, he still does his movie and television references from time to time plus gets the occasional Gibbs' slap and a few slaps from Ziva too.

Timothy is really becoming less probie and more of a computer whiz plus is being a better agent too.

Ziva kicks butt still and is slowly showing emotions more.

Gibbs still follows his gut and he loves children dearly. Plus he is supportive of fellow Marines including one who was suffering from PTSD.

Jenny tries to kick butt and does decently but still is secretive.

Abby is still friendly and rambling as ever plus has gone back to drinking her Caf-Pows.

Ducky works less in autospy and does more psychological profiling these past few episodes with Jimmy helping out every so often!

Not a bad season so far but oh so emotional and short!

Finally finished Season 5 and now I have watched the first two episodes of Season 6.

Here's my thoughts:

Season 5 dealt primarily with Jenny and her secrets.

Leon Vance filled in for her and is doing well as acting director. He sure loves his toothpicks though!

Gibbs learned there is a mole (I know it's Lee but Gibbs has to uncover this) and to attempt to work with three new agents after his team was broken up.

Abby was devastated by the news and kept begging for the return of the team.

Ziva went back to Israel temporarily for a secret mission but seems glad to be back.

McGee got to mature and work with IT geeks, he promised to help out which he made good on his word.

Tony has matured after 4 months of separation from the team.

Jimmy is becoming an ongoing guest star and still manages to help but drive you crazy too.

Ducky is still giving me valuable information even though he isn't doing many autopsies he still helps when needed.

I am sorry Jenny got killed but you know she could have tried to let others help her instead of trying to do it alone.

The first episodes of season 6 I was able to pinpoint the culprits within the first 15 minutes or so, a new personal record for me.

Can I continue it? Don't know yet but I love watching the series and all the special features as well.

Finished up Season 6 a few weeks ago and am finished with the first 4 episodes from Season 7.

Here's my thoughts and opinions on it so far.

Ziva is now officially a NCIS agent but was having a difficult transition before then and honestly is learning that her own father cannot be trusted.

Gibbs still follows his gut and recently reconciled with his dad Jackson played wonderfully by the late Ralph Waite. He still loves his coffee. He still shows that he was a sniper not that long ago too.

Mcgee has matured some and is still scared of dogs plus is developing some backbone at long last after a prior case being hostage in a women's prison.

Tony is Tony still flirty but protective and shows a tad more maturity.

Agent Lee who was a double agent was killed by Gibbs after determining that she would probably be incarcerated for her crimes.

Jimmy still shows up from time to time and really can't keep his mouth shut at times.

Vance is no Jenny Shepherd but is secretive but hardnosed. He has a necessary edge to the team.

Abby still loves caf-pow but determines the evidence needed to help the investigation.

Ducky still rambling but I love his tidbits. He doesn't always do autopsies.

I can't wait to see the next couple of episodes to see what happens next!

Am midway through with Season 7, we have finally met Tony's dad who I now refer to as Senior and Ziva is studying to become an American citizen. Looking forward to seeing what happens next!

I am almost done with season 7, about 8 more episodes and I'll be done.

I discovered that Gibbs' former mother-in-law Joann absolutely hates him and even though she did kill someone for ulterior motives.

Finished Season 7 last night and watched the first episode of Season 8.

Here's my thoughts on it:

Never underestimate Gibbs and his dad. His dad is equally as bad as his son in dealing with bad guys or in this case a bad girl.

Ziva is now officially an American citizen and is beginning to grasp American sayings and phrases.

Poor McGee can't catch a break and forgot to NOT drink the water in Mexico!

Jimmy is appearing more and really looks up to Ducky. But still needs to watch what he says.

Ducky tells great information and I love his smile when he says something witty.

Tony still gets Gibbs' slaps and is teamed up with Ziva regularly.

Leon Vance knows more than he let on plus is equally bad at dealing with perps.

Abby is Abby but she did try to get Gibbs to open up about Mexico which he didn't.

It was also nice seeing Mike Franks team up with Gibbs and his dad.

I can't wait to start another episode soon!

I have finished a few more episodes into Season 8, we got an unique Gibbs' slap for Tony and he gave one to McGee at the same time, truly epic!

I wish there was a video clip of it so I could watch it over and over again. It would have helped brighten up my day today.

Am still on Season 8 but it's progressing well.

McGee is trying to shy away from any relationships but Tony and Ziva keep playing matchmaker.
In two episodes back to back, one of the female witnesses or lead characters related to the case developed feelings for him.

Gibbs definitely hates computers and video games because he used his gun and knife to escape from a scenario set up by the culprit and almost used his gun again back in the squad room.

I feel badly that Ducky got interrupted with his stories but I'm glad he shares them.

Leon almost fired both McGee and Tony but Gibbs gave them the go ahead to find out the missing information they had missed.

Finished season 8!

The last couple of episodes dealt with the Port to Port killer and E.J. Barrett

We finally got the killer but not without cost. Sadly we lost Mike Franks, Gibbs' beloved mentor and one of E.J.'s team members Levin.

Also we saw more of Tony and Ziva getting closer after a few close calls.

Also we are seeing more Jimmy a bit more in the seasons so it won't be a huge surprise when he officially joins in season 10.

I'm growing to like Leon Vance a bit more too, he's tough but fair.

I can't wait to see what is in store for season 9!

That is probably around the time I started liking Vance. I never thought I would like him, but he is one of my favorites now. Nice character building for him.

I am finally on Season 9 and so far it's been really good especially with new character developments. The last three episodes I watched were Engaged parts 1 and 2 and Sins of the Father.

I really enjoyed these episodes and I look forward to seeing what happens next.
