I enjoyed the episode. I really liked going back to the 1700's and seeing how Icabod became a member of the Masons and changed his allegiance from the British to the American side. And the character of the free black man who was part of the Mason alliance was played really well by whoever that guy was. The Sin Eater almost seemed like a side note to the story which was a lot of fun without him. Seeing Abbie and Ichabod hug after he's cured was heartwarming ("That's the first time you've called me Abbie!") I'm enjoying this show.

I am enjoying this show also. I look forward to it each week and I will be sad when they take a long break. There is something that is both aristocratic and endearing about Ichabod's very straight posture and mannerisms. I loved the way he bowed to Abbie when he was leaving after the baseball game. They amused me when he told Abbie "My ears shall remain adequately open to your admonitions" and she told him "You could just say yes". They are so good together. I liked seeing Abbie and her sister work together although I think her sister is a little jealous of Abbie's role as a witness with Ichabod. The historical scenes were very good and we now see how he met Katrina. I suppose she was not really a Quaker because she was a witch. Ichabod is so honorable; he sacrificed himself to kill the Horseman. It was touching that Abbie accepted his sacrifice and cried for him. The Sin Eater has a terrible "gift" but he reluctantly did what was necessary. I must have blinked because I do not know how he got there unless Abbie's sister left and returned with him. I like the way they superimposed the Mason over the Sin Eater so he could talk to Ichabod. Very good episode.

I forgot to mention that the spokesman for the Masons who kidnapped Ichabod was a recurring character on Grimm. He was killed off last week, but it is nice that he quickly landed another job.

Abbie said "Calvary" when she meant "Cavalry". Bugs Bunny once did the same thing.
Both are ways to take sin out of people's lives ...

Ichabod would have a fit if he saw that Paul Revere portrayal I saw in what looked like a commercial for Liberty Mutual during a PBS program i saw.
