On the radio someone asked what you do if you have car trouble and don't have a GEICO app. You call for a hero with X-ray vision. This isn't ideal because X-ray vision can be embarrassing--and superheros aren't real! At the college I saw a guy wearing pajama pants with  all over them. |

"Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me" on NPR had a best of 2013 show. On it, I heard someone say the Superman underwear problem is solved by saying he comes from a planet without underwear.

I read a story of Gotham. In the days of kings and castles, the king wanted to build a castle in Gotham but the people there were idiots. So the king changed his mind.
The truth is they weren't idiots. They were smart enough to know how to keep the castle out of their land.

I saw an obituary for a baby named Kalel. Now it wasn't an article so there was nothing to indicate the child was named for Superman, but I don't know where else they would have gotten it.

Thanks...it is difficult for me to see Obama that way because he constantly brings issues directly to the people more than I can remember other presidents doing. I went back to the Facebook post. Most of the people I went to high school with who are my Facebook friends are at least conservative, and one was saying this past week (and having lots of people agreeing with her) the networks did not tell us the real news, but only Fox did. She's very religious and very anti-gay as well. The person who said this is merely a Facebook friend of one of my classmates: "I know right? I hate it when they edit and take things out of context. Thanks...that makes sense now. I enjoy humor, and anyone with a viable brain cell would know Obama would NEVER say anything like that about himself. That is why some of the comments make me wonder if some people who watch "The Colbert Report" get Stephen's humor or think he is serious when he is being ironic.

My niece (who just turned 17 this month) is pregnant. If it's a boy, she plans to name him Clark Nathan. Yup, her boyfriend is a big Superman fan and Nathan is my middle nephew's name and both my niece and her boyfriend are close with him. Idk how to spell the girl name she picked out but almost all of us think it's going to be a boy.

Sorry i haven't posted sooner but my niece Shiloh gave birth to Clark Nathan on March 6th.
It was a week or so sooner than planned but both are happy and healthy. In fact, she should be going back to school before too much longer.

Shiloh went back to school last Monday.
But things aren't going exactly as planned... Because she's been having anxiety attacks, she is pulling out of school for the rest of the year and is planning on being home-schooled for the remainder of the school year. After that, she will be attending her senior year when school starts back up in August. Idk exactly what the specifics are, but she will be meeting with a professional of some sort on Monday. I think Shiloh was confused because she had Clark dressed as Batman when they came up today for a visit.

James Best died last week. John Schneider said in an obituary I saw that Best helped him learn good acting. This is ironic considering the show they worked together on was "Dukes of Hazzard".

It's hard to believe but Shiloh will be 18 on Saturday. Nathan (my middle nephew) will be 19. Yup, they share a birthday. I haven't heard anything from my sis as to what they're doing or when we're going to have a party but chances are i won't be able to make it. ![]() I'm pissed at my sister so even in the slight chance she didn't make the party in the middle of the day, chances are i won't go anyway. |
