I have been in denial about Ward being a traitor until this episode. They could not possibly fake the deaths of all of those people so he really is on a killing spree. The villains are playing their roles excellently, but I am still disappointed because Ward was one of my favorites. Skye is not one of my favorites so it is another disappointment that she is the one Ward is most concerned about.
When is Skye going to show us what is special about her?
Other than the betrayal, I am really enjoying the series.

Hydra has almost completely destroyed SHIELD. Everyone is upset about Ward's betrayal and I do not see how it can end well for him.
I love Coulson and I see why he loves his car so much. Lola is awesome.
Coulson kept asking who was behind T.A.H.I.T.I. And he and I were shocked by the answer.

Absorbing Man and Mockingbird are very nicely portrayed.
There are good and not so much parts, so far. Again with the patience.
Simmons is my favorite. Her character is being developed much more this time around.

I marathoned the last six episodes and they were exciting. The series took a turn that I did not anticipate and it should lead to even more thrills when the show returns.
Ward has been a favorite and a disappointment. I think it was a bad idea to make him a villain because he was so bad, there is no way he can redeem himself with S.H.I.E.L.D. I like the new agents who have been added and they are good at their jobs. In addition to their jobs, their relationships with each other are interesting.
I hate what they did to Fitz even more than I hate what they did to Ward. It was disturbing to see Fitz talking to an imaginary Simmons and having difficulty knowing what is real and what is not. His greatest gift is his brain and now he has difficulty voicing his thoughts and coordinating his hands. Geez, that is a tragedy. I still like him though.
I love Coulson's character and May (the Calvary). They have remained true to their character.
Oops, I forgot to mention Skye. May trained her as a field agent and she can now fight like May. I did not like Skye when her loyalty to S.H.I.E.L.D. could not be trusted, but she is here to stay, so I need to get over that. We met her father and he played a major role in the last six episodes. I think they led us on a wild goose chase regarding Skye's origin, but perhaps I read too much into the mystery. The real mystery will be revealed in the upcoming episode. Should be exciting.

Finally! Skye has been transformed and has powers that she does not know how to control. So far, she is good at shattering glass.
Lady Sif of Asgaard returned in "Who You Really Are" and we learned the complicated story leading up to the buried city and Skye's and Raina's transformation.
Coulson is still leading the team and he no longer has those weird urges to write symbols on every available surface.
The Army has Ward as a prisoner.
More super beings are coming.

Not sure if I like the direction this show is going. I will stay tuned because I like the characters and it's supposed to build up into Age of Ultron this spring.

Coulson is on the run and he has secrets that make some agents wary of what he plans. Skye is learning to use her gifts and has become more interesting.
I am excited to see how the meeting between Coulson and Ward turns out. I still have not forgiven them for making Ward a psycho villain.

The current episode ties in to the new Avengers movie. Coulson will not be in the movie but he warned that Fury was going to take back the special box they had. They also mentioned “the twins” and Loki’s scepter which will also play a role.
Skye has become an important member of the team. In this episode, she showed extraordinary fighting ability and according to the director, she did the whole scene in one take. That is pretty good.
Simmons tried to kill Ward, but the device killed the other villain instead. Ward decided to not return to S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters because the team is extremely hostile toward him. The hostility was demonstrated when Ward apologized to the team and Fitz said I’m glad I shot you and several others said they were glad they tried to kill him too. That was rather amusing.
There are different groups who want to be head of S.H.I.E.L.D and I do not know how the movie will affect the series. I guess I should see the movie before the next episode.

This show is getting better and better. The references play a major role in the Avengers movie. I won't spoil anything, but you definitely should see it.

I saw "Age of Ultron" yesterday and it was excellent. It had a lot of humor in addition to the action.

I am so happy I stuck with the show because it has become what I expected from it in season one.
Coulson is so cool under pressure and even a coup could not force him to give up his (and Fury’s) secrets. The secrets played perfectly into the “Age of Ultron” storyline and I enjoyed recognizing the references.
I watched this when it aired and maybe my brain was sleepy, so forgive me for not grasping when the Agent May switch occurred.
Raina was the one I did not trust, but she was telling the truth about Jiaying starting a war. That should be exciting.
Ward and Agent 33 have their own evil agenda and I am waiting to see how their plans fit into the war.
Skye has to decide whose side she will be on – Coulson’s or Jiaying’s.
We will find out in the two-hour season finale next week.

Very exciting episode. The team spent a lot of time practicing techniques in an attempt to avoid a vision coming true.
We lost two members of the team. Coulson arranged for them to be disavowed rather than an execution. I really liked the spy's farewell they were given.
The team caught a brief glance of the new "Ward". They know Coulson killed him so they are astonished.

This is my favorite season of S.H.I.E.L.D. There seems to be more action and less angst. Coulson has grasped the reality that not everyone can be saved and he has to make tough choices.
I am glad Fitz and Simmons are working together again although they have both changed very much from the characters we met in S1.
Lincoln and Skye have bonded and work well together.
Malick is no longer the big bad now that the creature has been brought to earth. After a century of plotting to bring the creature here, Malick is not rewarded. The creature retains the memory of the people he consumes and Malick’s brother was one of his victims. He knows that both Malick and his father cheated each time they held a raffle to see who would become the creature’s next victim. The punishment was a huge sacrifice for Malick.
Uh…where was I when Skye and Lincoln set up a team of secret warriors? They need to rescue Coulson’s team from Malick’s hard-to-beat top security officer.

The finale was 2 hours and that was a long time to watch Daisy agonize over the harm she caused while under Hive’s control. The only surprise for me was that after lamenting the harm over and over again, she asked Hive to change her back to be under his control. I wondered if that was a ruse, but she actually meant it. Sheesh! The other elements of the episode were pretty good. S.H.I.E.L.D. has a group of heroes who put their lives on the line for Coulson and the other team members in their attempt to save the world from destruction and domination. The regular humans and those with powers worked together to defeat Hive and his converted humans. That led to action that was worth watching.
