"Eye Spy" is a clever title for the episode because an “eye” was the mysterious means by which improbable robberies were made possible. There were several exciting scenes and some “how are they going to get out of that” scenes. I enjoy the humor – …code names for the two teams “bus” to “short bus”. Imo, there was one “fail” when Skye hit the clip eject button instead of the safety off button. If that was supposed to be funny…it failed.

The Girl in the Flower Dress
Last night's episode featured a man who could create fire in the palm of his hand.
A group of people kidnapped him because they wanted to use his blood platelets to help them to create super soldiers.
S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Asian team and New York team worked to rescue the man and there were major fireworks.
It was revealed that their newest team member was spying on them.
Excellent and exciting episode.

This was a very interesting episode. A "souvenir" from the Avengers' fight in New York caused members of a fire department to become infected with a virus.
A fireman took some kids camping and they became frightened when the man floated in the air after he died. S.H.I.E.L.D. was called in to investigate.
There were traumatic scenes where Fitz and Simmons tried to isolate the virus and find a cure for it before it killed anyone else. Simmons was infected and everyone was worried because they had not come up with a cure.
There was an exciting scene where Simmons did a free fall from their airplane. Grant grabbed a parachute and the antidote and jumped after Simmons. He put the parachute on while falling...then he positioned his body so that he could catch up with her. When he caught up with her, he shot her with the antidote and grabbed her so he could get her to safety. He looked so good doing that.
Coulson knows there is something different about himself, but no one will let on that they know what it is. When his boss told him that if he disobeyed orders, he would take his team away, Coulson told him to just try it. The boss looked at him and knew it was time to walk away.

I have not finished watching this episode yet.I am enjoying Ward and Fitz trying to cross the border to find the weapon. I am hating the way Skye manipulates the team members. It irks me that anyone on the team would trust her and do what she suggests. That's just stupid. More to follow.Edit: I have seen the balance of the episode and it was pretty good. Fortunately, Skye's computer hacking stunt revealed Ward and Fitz would not be extracted after they completed their mission. Coulson and his team rescued our guys without asking for permission from higher ranking officials. Some of my favorite moments of the episode... ...Coulson had a one-sided conversation with May during which she communicated solely with her eyes. Very cleverly done. ...During an escape via sled, the "Russian" agent asked "Where are the dogs?" and Coulson responded "Don't be ridiculous!" as the sled sped off at hyper speed. ...When more Border Patrol agents were fast approaching, Ward told Fitz to run but when he turned around, Fitz was yards ahead of him and said "Already running!" I guess I can tolerate Skye a little longer now that I realize the mystery surrounding her and the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who dropped her off at an orphanage is one of the story arcs. Coulson tried to access his personal file detailing his recovery after Loki zapped him and access was denied even though he is Level 8. I think that is one file that he should not see because he might not like what is revealed. That makes two mysteries. More will be revealed.

I don't watch the show, but I was reading that Ming-Na's character was supposed to be white, and named Rice. Then because they hired an Asian, calling her Rice seemed like a bad idea.

In a shocking cliffhanger episode, Coulson takes the war back to Centipede, and this time he brings in Mike Peterson for some super-soldier support.

I did enjoy the episode...and that is in spite of predicting Mike Peterson would not survive.
He is the guy the S.H.I.E.L.D. team rescued after computer hacker Skye tried to get him to hide from all government agencies. He wanted to be a super hero and save people so he was happy when Coulson invited him to join a mission.
The same villains, Centipede, who gave Mike a drug to turn him into a super soldier has created more super soldiers and forces them to commit crimes...or die.
There were some nice action scenes. I always enjoy those.
After engaging the super soldiers, Mike was recognized by the recruiter on surveillance video. Centipede kidnapped Mike's son and made a deal for his freedom.
The surprise twist was that the deal was for Mike to give them Coulson in exchange for his son. He tricked Coulson and Coulson was kidnapped.
After giving his son to Skye, Mike chased the villains and was apparently blown up in a terrific explosion they had set.
On a side note, Skye asked May about the investigation into who her parents are and May, rather unkindly, told her they were on a mission...and finding her parents is not the mission. Skye ran to her quarters in tears. Boo hoo!

I enjoyed the episode. I do not like people hurting Agent Coulson, but he has a very strong will.
I do not believe they will ever tell us how they re-animated Coulson. Coulson is good at not revealing what he knows so I am not sure if he learned everything they did to him.
The show seems determined to make us like Skye. If they wanted me to like Skye, they should not have shown her betraying the team.
Agent May (The Calvary) is too awesome for words.

Finally...I know why Skye is important, other than her computer hacking skills. Coulson and May tracked down an agent-in-hiding and he explained Skye's history to them. Who would have looked at that pretty girl and ever guess she is an object of unknown origin? Well, I would never have guessed. Meanwhile, Fitz+Simmons went on assignment at the S.H.I.E.L.D. tech training school to determine why students are being encased in ice. Fitz is an unusual science brainiac because he has a biting wit and is not afraid to use it. The scenes with the students were very exciting and were filled with angst, drama, betrayal, manipulation and death. When the students created an ice-storm cloud vortex, I anticipated that suddenly Skye would raise her arms and miraculously destroy the cloud. Alas, that did not happen. May and her team had to swoop in for the rescue operation. So...what is special about Skye? Will we ever know?

The search for the Clairvoyant seemed to be going well until the team realized they might have been tricked.
Deathlok is formidable.
Two of Coulson’s agents seemed to be acting suspiciously and now they are not certain who can be trusted.

There are so many twists and turns in this episode. One clever thing they did is tie the episode directly into the just released Captain America: The Winter Soldier movie. I saw the movie this afternoon and I am glad I did because I immediately realized what was happening in the episode.
This episode was so good and the suspense kept me wondering who could not be trusted.
Holy surprise ending! I can't even talk about it...too shocking. No....tell me it's not so!
