I love the characters in this show. I enjoy Abbie's no-nonsense attitude when dealing with matters that seem beyond her control. I thought it was humorous that she gave Ichabod a "large piece of footwear with his name embroidered on it." Apparently, his family did not hang stockings over a fireplace. I find Ichabod's ramrod straight posture and enunciation to be very hot! His clarification of historical references is very amusing. In this episode, he explained the origin of the term "egg nog". We learned some more about the Captain's past and his relationships with his family and the church. Parrish, the Sin Eater, is playing a larger role than I anticipated and I am enjoying his character. The story of Ichabod's son was surprising. The golem was an extraordinary creature that had outlived its purpose. Killing the golem was a way to put an end to the living pain of Ichy's son. P.S. Although I enjoy Ichabod's enunciation, his "Left-tenant" when addressing Abbie is ridiculous.

These were my favorite parts. Abbie didn't understand that Dickens came later, and crane had no idea who Scrooge was. There were other funny references to what Crane is discovering that I liked.

Ichabod also thought it was silly to chop down a tree and decorate a stick of wood for Christmas. He did like the long-standing tradition of the mistletoe.
