What town or city or state did Reese turn up in? Reese wound up in Denver, Colorado. Reese's father lived there when he retired from the military. I believe the title of the episode refers to Reese because he was trying to drink himself into oblivion. He had given up and felt that what they do is irrelevant. Harold and Shaw could certainly have used Reese's help when they attempted to rescue a person that The Machine directed them to. Harold had been ignoring all phone calls from The Machine until Root drew his attention to a new number. Harold was shocked that Root was communicating with The Machine although she is still locked in his library. The person of interest was a man Harold went to MIT with who developed the same type of machine that Harold built. The PoI had developed memory problems which made him vulnerable to people who want to manipulate him. I like Shaw and she did a good job of getting past tough security to help the PoI. Unfortunately, the team was fooled by someone who got the drop on them and the episode ended with a cliffhanger.

I hope you enjoyed it. I enjoyed Fusco telling Reese that he helped him to get sober and get his life back on track. Then I enjoyed Fusco challenging Reese to a fight so he could knock some sense into him.

Both Harold's father and his friend suffered from a disease that caused them to start having memory problems. They did not say it was Alzheimer's, but it sounded like an advance stage of that. There was no accident or anything.
