I need to pause the episode to honor one of Root's excellent retorts. Control: You have administrative access. You have found a way inside the machine. I want you to give me that access. Root: It'd be like giving a five-year-old keys to a jet. Irresponsible and stupid. Ouch!

This episode was very exciting. I always liked Agent Shaw because she is so cool and tough. She steps up to the front line when she is needed and does not blink. Thank goodness she was around while Reese was sulking.
The person who surprised me the most is Root. I did not like her when she kidnapped Harold during her introduction to the series. She continued to seem weird to me when she would talk about The Machine. But she has transformed into a remarkable fighter. She is amazing...and she is deadly.
Fusco is hanging in there and will remain on the team - provided that Finch can hold the team together after Resse's bitterness caused him to say "Goodbye."
I have not seen Reese's lady friend "the fixer" lately and I wonder if she will return.
I really enjoyed it.

I will get to the show eventually. I hope so. Please let me know if you enjoy it. The last several episodes have been serious, but that was to be expected because of the Carter tragedy. I think the humor will return after a respectful amount of time.

Finch, Shaw and the other guy were rescued by Fusco and Reese. Root was helping the team but was captured. The Machine helped her to escape.

Because it looked like they were all captured.

Because it looked like they were all captured. Oh...you were talking about the way the previous episode ended. At the beginning Harold, Shaw and Arthur were being held captive by Control (evil woman) in a hotel room. There were numerous agents standing guard. Control demanded that either Harold give them the program or they would hurt Arthur to get the information that was in his head. When evil Agent Hirsch was preparing to kill Shaw, Root came in like a one-woman wrecking crew and rescued them. Harold, Shaw and Arthur got away but Hirsch shot Root and captured her.

Yep, Root was shot and she still helped the others to escape by yelling the code to the elevator to them. They tortured her and it was awful.

I do not want to spoil the episode for you. Are you going to watch it?

I wrote a whole, long post about how much I enjoyed the episode, except for the fact that Reese was hardly in it, then hit the wrong key on my keyboard and erased the whole thing. Suffice it to say, it was a terrific episode. If there was a poll, I'd have given it a 4.5. I'm taking half a point off for Reeselessness.

I kept losing posts yesterday, but I am blaming it on the forum. It got so bad that I typed a draft of every post in Word, then tried to post it.
I know Root really irritated me when she was introduced, but now I think she is awesome ~ crazy ~ but awesome. I would rather have her on my side than against me. Can they repair her ear?
SoCal, how do you feel about Root now?
I agree about Reese. They need to clean him up and put him back in the game. (Reese does not look good like Dean W does when he is scruffy.)

Anti, I agree with your initial dislike of Root. Throughout the last season she seemed to redeem herself but I'm not sure I should completely trust her. She still seems a bit whack-o. As long as she helps Reese, Finch, et al, she'll remain in my "likeable list." Let her harm a hair on Finch's head and I'll want Bear to take her down!
