I have just sent an encrypted wire to Red Reddington informing him that Lana Lang from Smallville is on this show. I know he will take it as seriously as I do.

It was a forgettable episode. I am struggling to remember what happened because they keep rehashing the same arguments. The recurring theme that Catherine should get over Vincent and move on continues to crop up in almost every episode. I was hoping they would stay in love for at least three consecutive episodes.
Catherine is under investigation and was suspended from the force because she was soooo obviously lying. Very sloppy.
Maybe they will come up with something more interesting now that the viewers have selected them as favorite sci-fi show.

When I started watching the latest episode, I realized I had not watched the "Don't Die on Me" episode to the end. The last 20 minutes had some very interesting developments. Cat helped Tori search the curio shop and they were attacked. Cat was locked in a hidden chamber and discovered a skeleton of some sort of creature. We will learn more about the creature in future episodes. Vincent's BFF confessed to Tess that he feels guilty because he was the one who put Vincent's name on Muirfield's list because he thought the trials would make Vincent stronger and help to keep him alive. In spite of being seriously injured, Vincent risked his life to fight the attackers and saved Tara. My hero! Meanwhile, Gabe broke all kinds of laws to help Catherine get her shield back and he succeeded. Cat told Gabe she finally felt free of worrying about Vincent and she agreed to go out for coffee with Gabe. In the previous season, I would not have believed that was likely. Vincent finally revealed his identity to the media at the end of episode. The final 20 minutes made the episode more interesting than I originally thought.

S02, E10 AncestorsNEW Mon 1/20/14, 9:00PM-10:00PM Vincent goes on a national TV show to announce that he is still alive; Cat works on a case for FBI Agent Dana Landon (Elisabeth Röhm). Trouble in paradise? I enjoyed this episode very much. The characters are heading in unexpected directions. Cat went undercover on a case and Vincent wound up chasing the same gem. They butted heads and Cat threatened to shoot Vincent...again! But she could not do it. Vincent is willing to kill to solve the new mystery of his origin. However, neither Vincent nor Catherine want to hurt each other. Vincent arrived at a scene when Cat was undercover and she kissed a man so Vincent would back off and not blow her cover. He had no idea what she was up to and came to the wrong conclusion. Catherine really did want to help the man because he was only involved in the heist because he did not want to let his brother down. Surprise: The creature discovered in the past episode is tied to both Vincent and Catherine. Another surprise: Catherine was so charmed by Gabe's willingness to trust her judgment that she gave him a very warm kiss. Tess is championing Gabe's pursuit of Catherine.
