This was a good episode that was based on a cold case from the days that Sherlock was using drugs. Joan reopened the investigation and asked for help from a person named Gay. The woman stopped working with Joan when it was obvious Joan was willing to do something illegal to obtain an artifact. I was amused by that because it seems Sherlock has been a bad influence on Joan. Woman: I'm gay. Sherlock: I'm not. Woman: My name is Gay. Sherlock: Sherlock Woman: But I am gay. I like the way Sherlock handled sponsorship duties. He was honest with the sponsee even though he feared the guy would get upset and get high. That was well played, in my opinion.

Oh, this is the episode with the sponsor.
Now there was another show, "Dads", I watched where the sponsor didn't do a thing to help the person. If anything, he went to an AA meeting and got everyone there to drink, except the frustrated group leader who couldn't do a thing when they all left for a bar.
I thought the woman was gay when she said it, and I was right.
That was a fascinating case where they had to work so hard to find the artifact. That's all I remember about it.
