I like the way they showed us a fight that will take place 12 weeks in the future. I enjoy watching the drama unfold and lead to that moment.
I think anyone who did not see season one will not understand the significance of anything that happened in this episode. But for those of us who did watch season one, it was very interesting...almost mesmerizing.

Will Graham is locked in a psychiatric ward for the criminally insane. He has been accused of the crimes that Hannibal Lecter committed and it appeared that no one believed Will is innocent.
The crimes committed during the episodes are so brutal that I turn my head until they change scenes. I like the characters in the show and I want to see how and when Will’s innocence is realized. I wonder if there will be irreparable harm done to his mental state by the time he is freed.
During Season 1, I wondered why a psychiatrist would continue to meet with Hannibal after realizing that he is insanely dangerous. His psychiatrist finally had enough and told him she would no longer meet with him and that she feels he is dangerous. Later, when he showed up at her home dressed to kill, literally dressed to kill, I was happy to see she had closed up the home and gone away.
Before she disappeared, she visited Will and whispered to him that she believed in his innocence. I hope that helps him to cope.

Hassun
Will's trial has continued and the FBI agents who have worked with him were called to testify.
When a severed ear is packaged and sent to Will, people began to question that Will might be innocent. Additional gruesome murders continued to happen that were similar to the ones Will is accused of committing.
It seemed that both Jack and Hannibal were trying to help prove Will's innocence, but we know Hannibal is manipulative.

Will Graham is still in jail and I am beginning to be suspicious that he will spend the entire season in his cell in the psychiatric hospital for the criminally insane. He is still interesting though and he is having flashbacks that show what Hannibal did to him. I am glad that Will is still helping with the bizarre cases because his methodology is unique.
The strange case in this episode involved a corpse that was found in a tree and his head had been modified so that it became a beehive. The bees made lots of honey. Yuk.
Will’s psychiatrist might be in danger. He advised Hannibal that he knows Hannibal did something to Will and then said “we must all stick together”. That doctor has no idea what Hannibal is capable of. I really think Will manipulated the doctor into confronting Hannibal because Will does not like the doctor and probably wants Hannibal to kill him.
It was so sad that Jack’s wife wants to die so that she can stop suffering pain from her stomach cancer. She went to Hannibal for help and the way he handled the situation surprised me. I am sure he has a selfish motive.
Beverly, the agent who has kept Will in the loop on the cases, sneaked into Hannibal’s house and found something in the basement, but when she turned around, Hannibal was standing there watching her. I doubt she will get out of there in one piece.

This show continues to showcase the bizarre ways people commit murder and the even more bizarre things that they do to the victims.
Finding a human body inside the womb of a horse was strange. Then the coroner felt a heartbeat. When they opened the corpse, a live bird flew out.
The case involved a serial killer who murdered 16 women. Hannibal was not involved in those murders but both he and Will became involved in the investigation.

The season finale ended bloody...very bloody. All of the main characters were bloody plus some of the supporting cast. I do not know who survived other than Hannibal and his psychiatrist.
Hannibal is a classy, charismatic and manipulative man who fooled most of the people most of the time. The only one who could truly match wits with him was Will Graham. Although they became friends, Hannibal ruined Will's life and tried to make him go insane.
As a psychiatrist, Hannibal encouraged his patients to commit gruesome acts of murder, but none of them were more murderous than Hannibal.
All of the actors did an excellent portrayal of their characters and I hope to see them in season 3.
