Apparently The Following continued to air during the Olympics and I was unaware of that. One of the episodes aired locally at a different time and day.

Family Affair (first aired 2/10/14)
Ryan and Max try to stay ahead of the FBI; Emma gets closer to Mark and Luke
I understand now that Max is the daughter of Ryan’s sister and she is determined to help her uncle even though she does not agree with the way he is handling the search for Joe Carroll.

Reflection (first aired 2/17/14)
When Ryan and Max capture a suspect, complications lead to a game of cat and mouse.
This episode was exciting and Max gets more involved with Ryan’s plan to find and kill Joe Carroll. Her involvement puts her in mortal danger plus puts her on a path to lose her job with the force.
Meanwhile, Ryan gets closer to tracking followers who can lead him to Joe. Ryan gets seriously injured, but that does not seem to slow him down much.

Fly Away (first aired 2/24/14)
Ryan and Max turn to the FBI for back-up on their plan
After Max stitched Ryan’s 6” stab wound, Ryan acted as if he felt no pain and continued on his quest to capture (and kill) Joe Carroll. Ryan contacted Mike at the FBI and requested backup. When Mike showed up alone, he explained that there is an information leak at the FBI and they cannot trust anyone. We later find out it is Jana, Joe’s friend, who gets information and passes it on to Joe.
Joe is truly pissed off at Lily for drugging him and decides to leave with just the girl and Emma.
Various decisions led to drama, bloodshed, standoffs and mayhem. They outdid themselves with the level of excitement.
I was already concerned about Mike’s state of mind and the way he acted in this episode shows that he has become violent and dangerous.
There is a lot more excitement to follow.
