I enjoyed the episode and it was fun to see Crowley struggling with the recovery process. When he said “You don’t know what it’s like to be human!”, it gave me a big laugh. It was gruesome to see the bodies lying around after he drank them dry. But Crowley always get a pass…from me, that is. He is the King of Hell so I expect him to perform heinous deeds. However, I do believe he has a soft spot for Sam and Dean.
The Man of Letters was really good at casting spells, but I can understand why he was cast out. He said he was Henry’s mentor and that explains why Henry was so good at casting spells also. That dude was as evil as Crowley and I was impressed with the zeal with which Dean decapitated him.
I was very concerned when Dean stood in front of Sam and took a long time to drop the first blade. All I could think of was first son versus the second son. Did everyone notice Crowley stood there looking amused? I think he was curious to see what Dean would do. I am going to keep in mind that the man said that Dean would become more comfortable with the first blade as he continued to hold it.
The only part I did not like was at the end when Sam reminded Dean that they should kill Crowley. …Crowley has helped them and obviously did not intend to harm them. …Crowley was standing right there listening to them. …Did Sam really think they were going to waltz up to Crowley and stab him with a blade? …They need Crowley to remain the King of Hell.

I liked the "not moose" thing when Dean called Crowley.

I am starting to feel like a broken record, another ok episode for me, though it was better than some of the others we have had since mid season.
Snooki(Nicole) did a passable job and she wasn't in there long enough to be annoying so I was ok with her.
I found it interesting that Crowley while on his "high" did a lot of the same things Cas did when he became human, sex, food and the opportunity to explore human emotions, the highs and the lows. I was glad to see that his addiction did not take away his ability to realize when someone was trying get over on him. The most important thing the guys need to remember at all times is Crowley is no one's fool and can never be trusted, ever!!!! So, why, did they allow Crowley to be up in the bunker??? He sat there and told them he had looked for the place before, so why would they allow him to be up where he can get a good look at things?
The guy Magnus seemed to hone in on Dean once he realized Dean had the MoC, he seemed as if he also wanted to use Dean for his own purposes, and I got the impression that Magnus would have used Sam as bait or anything else to get Dean to do what he wanted, but I did find his spell making ability very interesting and I think the guys need to learn some of that quickly.
I thought Sam and Dean were tolerable to one another though you can tell that nothing has been fixed between them, it is depressing to me to see so little movement on that front, I want the guys to be back together. The one thing that I can see is the chance for Dean to need Sam, and maybe Cas's help to bring Dean back from the brink, I see a very dark, desolate path for Dean and with the way that Crowley is manipulating, watching and studying every move that Dean is making, it will be next to impossible for Dean to pull himself back with no support system.
I did enjoy seeing Jensen take Dean toward the dark side, and am looking forward to seeing how far he can go, It was very hard for Dean to let the First Blade's influence go, it took Sam several times to get Dean's attention and then way Dean was acting it is not going to be something he is going to get thru without help.
I am more concerned with how much Crowley is pushing and manipulating Dean into doing what he wants him to do and I am starting to wonder what else besides kill Abbadon does Crowley need Dean to do? the more scary thought is what if this is was for Dean to become something close to a knight of hell and Crowley is "grooming or creating" Dean to be a very powerful tool in his battle for Hell?

Re-watching. Crowley was entertaining in this episode. The boys made him go cold turkey off of the blood and he got so emotional.

Demons keyed enochian into Baby's side. Dean was very upset. Poor Baby.
Good episode.

This was one of the few season 9 episodes I re-watched. I really noticed Crowley eyeing Dean when the First Blade was in his hand. Foreshadows sooooooooo much. Great, great episode. I wish they had re-run the finding Cain episode. I think they skipped that episode.

I agree. While watching, I realized the importance of the scenes between Crowley, Dean and Sam. I have not re-watched the other episodes, but the one with Cain is definitely worth a re-watch.
