I don't know what the point was in Rapunzel having long hair. Was her long hair used in any way?

David did use Rapunzel's hair for the final part of the climb to the tower window. I thought she had to be very strong or part of the hair had to be wrapped around something to keep David's from falling. I cannot remember the details of the fairy tale.
The Wicked Witch seemed to have been in multiple places at once. David left her with Mary Margaret but she was able to get the sword hilt and put it in her bag without Snow noticing. I think she is not really planning on helping with the baby and she slipped something in David's tea. I did not notice what effect it had on David.
It was a good episode and I enjoyed seeing Rumpelstiltskin.
