On April 29, 2014, the backdoor pilot is titled "Bloodlines." Its writer is Andrew Dabb and Singer directed it.
During an interview with Misha Collins, he said no characters from Supernatural will cross over to the spinoff. I will have to watch the April 29th episode to see if I like the people who will be cast in the new series.

I have read some about this new show, I will watch a few times, but it sounds like another show with young gorgeous people and no one over 30 in the main cast. Not sure what to think about that.

I heard something about a shape shifter wanting to be human.

Oh, this was the episode that focused on Chicago and they're many monsters?
It was alright. I don't really see it becoming a show or have heard anything about it since the episode aired. Did the execs change their minds?

Hi Kimba, Yes, the execs changed their mind on the show. Considering 85 % of the fandom hated it, 10 % thought it was ok and there might have been about 5 % who could tolerate and might have liked it, it went down in flames.
The execs are mulling over other show ideas, but they aren't talking at the moment about what those might have been.
