I enjoy Sheriff Mills’ interactions with the guys. Tonight, she revealed that she is still suffering from grief over the loss of her son and husband. I remember that was gruesome. When Jody was asked what she would do with Annie after the cure, I wondered if she would invite Annie to live with her.
I was happy that Dean and Sam worked together on the hunt even though they both got beat up. Thank goodness for dead man’s blood. Seems vampires are using various methods to get blood without attracting the attention of hunters. I guess their dream of putting an army together and taking over the world failed.
I think the Mark of Cain should have flashed when Dean taunted the vampire, but I could tell anyway that his evil gene was working.

I was ok with this episode, it was a solid effort. We didn't have much movement on the arc front, but that was ok too.
I have to admit, because of the whole episode's focus was on Jody I was just sure she was going to get killed off, so I was kind of shocked when she survived. I did enjoy finding out more about her and learning that she hadn't really went thru the grieving process and that she was just now coming to terms with what had happened to her.
I think she might invite the girl to live with her, I think it would actually be a good thing for her to have someone to take care of, Bobby is gone and she only see the guys when bad things are going on, and with Annie they have shared a tragedy and have both seen each other at their worst. I think it would help Annie since she hasn't had a normal life in so long and she would have someone who has first hand knowledge of what to do if they run into vampires.
The episode was kind of Sam and Dean lite but it was ok with what we did see. BA Dean made an appearance and wow was he effective, and cold when he killed both vampires. Like you said Anti, his MOC was working you just couldn't see it.
It was nice to see the guys remember the "cure" from S6 and use it on Annie, they used it last year also.
I just think with the backdoor pilot next week, there is going to be too much to cram into 3 episodes at the end of the season, or they will end up carrying over a lot till S10.

Please do not let them carry over the Metatron arc. I do not know how popular Metatron is with people, but most people seem to want to be rid of him. They could still have issues with angels (especially Gadreel), but not smirky Meta-douche.
I don't see how they are going to complete the Abbadon arc and get rid of the MoC plus solve the angel war and get the angels back in heaven in a couple of episodes. I hope they don't rush it because then we feel cheated.

You are right Anti, I don't want the Metatron story carried over till next season either. The last 3 episodes are going to be jam packed with stuff to be resolved or moved along. we will be on the edge of our seats.
btw, I forgot to mention in my review, when Dean was fighting with the vampire before he cut off it's head, did you notice how strong Dean became? Vampires and most other monsters are always stronger than the guys, but as Dean was fighting with this one, he clearly got the upper hand and was winning before he chopped off the vampires head. I am guessing this is as a result of the MOC?

Yes, I think the MoC made Dean stronger. Although he needs the blade to kill Abaddon, he is clearly demonstrating superior strength in other areas. When Dean taunted the vampire, he was not even struggling to keep the upper hand.

I did not mind the episode but I feel like so far into the season they need to try and wrap up loop holes and story lines. its like Fan ficcion.

I agree with everyone. I liked how this episode gave us more of an understanding of Jody Mills' pain of losing her husband and son. Also Annie taken my vampires and raised as their own was an interesting angle. We can see the effect the Mark Of Cain is having on Dean he was enjoying killing that vampire. Sam can see it and is concern. It's about time Sam has to worry about Dean. Dean had to deal with the demon blood and the trials, now the shoe is on the other foot. Not my favorite episode but a solid one anyway. I'm glad Jody didn't die. I'm sick of all the death. I'm hoping they let Jody live for a while.
