I just finished watching Bloodlines and I really wanted to like it. But man that was rough. It was the triple threat bad acting, bad writing and bad concept. Seriously I didn't care that Ennis' girlfriend died because they had zero chemistry. Plus I knew she was dead from the moment she stepped onto the screen. I didn't care that the hunter with claws took out the den of monsters, good for him. I didn't care if Violet and David had a Romeo and Juliet thing going on they are both monsters and should die. Plus been there done that. I did care the Ennis killed a human but Sam and Dean didn't do a thing to save the human and instead rescued the werewolf and shape shifter. What the hell! I did care that a shape shifter that is not an alpha can change shape without shedding his skin. Since when? You are in Supernatural world follow the rules established over 9 seasons because believe me the fans will notice. So five monster families run Chicago well that sucks how to the demons feel about that? Seriously Jinn, Werewolves, and shape shifters are getting along. Lame man really lame. Plus the acting wow the acting was not good. I can't act but at least I know it and don't try. Serious this was Dallas meets Twilight and not in a fun campy way. I'm depressed anyone thinks it is worthy to be a spin off of Supernatural. The "bad" guy was my favorite character a vigilante out to avenge his son's brutal murder now that would have been interesting. But sadly the best character (aside from Sam and Dean) is now dead and we are left with the bitter aftertaste.

If I had not been warned that the episode was a back-door pilot, I would have wondered why Dean and Sam made cameo appearances.
I like the young man whose girlfriend was killed and I wonder if he will team up with the shifter to combat the supernatural beings that are evil.
I was glad that the shifters did not shed their skin like they did in earlier episodes because that was just nasty.
Once again, the human was depicted as the true monster. I do think it was ridiculous that the shifters argued about killing the man even though he could have jumped up and stabbed one of them.

I tried to go into this one with an open mind, but that didn't help this episode at all. I really didn't like it, it was like Bitten 2.0, only less Sam and Dean. I didn't care for any of the "pretty CW cardboard cutout people"
I thought it was a waste of an episode this close to the season finale. I only watched it once and have no desire to watch it again, and for me that is saying something. I always watch episodes at least 3 times before I make a decision on them but this is one of the few times that I was bored watching an SPN episode and that shouldn't happen with our show. Even a mediocre episode is worth a rewatch but I don't want to see this one again.
Sam and Dean were barely in this one and while I understand and support them having as much time off as they need, they should have been in this one a little more, it could have only helped.

I must admit it was rather boring. That is the first time I thought a Supernatural episode was boring.

Ashley- Yes, I think the CW has a mold that they used for the pretty cardboard cutout people, because they are all in the same age range, and are all pretty and most of them have questionable acting skills, and they just change out certain things to create new people. When I watched it I was starting to wonder where Sam and Dean were and then they were there for maybe 10 minutes in the whole episode, if that long. If there would have been different ages or someone we knew and cared about, I think it would have been much better, I just didn't care for any of the monster families, and I must have missed it, when did Ennis say he was a cop?
