Well, it is sweet ... as long as no one is making out. I think there's more of that lately.
I agree with our narrator. Petra does not look like her sister, though both of them can look like each other.
Petra's in a lot of trouble if her current boyfriend is the one the cops are looking for.
I like seeing Jane happy with Fabian. And while he may not have brains, they seem to get along.
I have to agree with that woman who wishes people would speak English when they come to this country, but it still wasn't nice. But many immigrants who are contributing members of society still speak their first language, and there are many languages spoken in, say, New York City. As I have gotten to know the people on this show, I really see that it is narrow-minded to think like this woman.
I'm rooting for Ro and Xo but they're making things difficult.
Mateo, some of us are eating!!!!

I can't believe it! Jane and Rafael gave Mateo a G-rated explanation for where he came from.
And we knew this kid would hear the wildest explanation ever of where babies come from, if they ever decided to tell him exactly where HE came from.
I trust Chuck, sort of. We know now he wasn't necessarily the killer just because he was the mysterious JP. But given what I remember, Petra becomes the number one suspect. Or was it Petra posing as her sister? I can't remember! I'm so confused! I need the narrator.

I'm glad Ro and Xo solved their problems. The wedding planners were funny.
But Jane shouldn't have broken up with Fabian the way she did.
Rafael's checkup scared me but it all made sense in light of the cops finally catching the murderer.
I do want Petra and Rafael to ... what am I saying? I want it to be Jane.

I hate that it's over.
But all the wedding problems were fun. Jane was beautiful. I wasn't that impressed with Xo's outfit but it was a last-minute substitute.
The writers of this show know nothing about weather. A high pressure system does not produce gale force winds. At least not in this situation. You know what does? A tropical storm which has changed direction. They shouldn't have been so confident the storm would stay away. And once it started raining, I knew it was headed back toward Miami. And I just knew with it that close, that would happen.
I'm worried about Beautiful Sister. We did find out the murderer was Eileen (but couldn't we have done that without the hideously bad song?). I hope this show is coming back but I've never heard. I think I'm right that Beautiful Sister had a gun on her but I've been through so much this week it's hard to say.
How nice that Jane finally found her letter.
And of course Ro got another woman pregnant. Was that really a surprise?
Weird that Alba spoke English a couple of times. Why can't she do that more often? It's easier on us.

Don't scare me like that!
Our beloved narrator said things were changing. Then we get a new narrator to explain Jane's old boyfriend. No!!!! I want THIS one!
It turns out she was just explaining the new character. And bickering narrators were the best thing about the episode.
I was so much happier when Jane had morals. Now that she is no longer a virgin, she just wants to jump into bed at the first opportunity. Actually, that's not all bad. She took off her clothes when Rafael was in the shower and that was very enjoyable to watch. I think she's more fit than she used to be. That would explain the sexy photo of her I've been seeing at the grocery, though I don't care for that one.
Now how do they explain how Mateo got older? They didn't skip ahead. I guess we're just supposed to ignore that it happened.
The women at the school were kind of insensitive about Jane's financial situation. But I think she overreacted. How did we leave it? Is Mateo still at the school?
Petra was so cute doing her sister's accent. I was totally convinced when I saw how messed up her hair was that she was actually her sister. She has such beautiful hair. But she was actually pretending to be her sister pretending to be her!
I still enjoy Ro and Xo together and all of Ro's problems with his ... ex. I'm glad he gets to raise a child from birth. If he does.

This was a show listed in a "Jeopardy" category as no longer having an accurate title. That's for sure. Ro is trying his best, but his"ex" is not making it easy. Xo is very supportive. I do feel sorry for Ro being forced to work with his nemesis but at least, thanks to his pretending to be a woman, he still has a job. I wish Jane hadn't taken that risk with Adam. I understand Jane's position on Mateo's school but if Rafael has, or can get, the money, he should try. Who would have ever believed Alba would lie? I really hope Petra has success and she and Rafael can work together. And our beloved narrator is back on his own!

Petra's sister is so cute because she's dumb. That may get Petra out of her mess.
Jane actually has a job. We forget that. And she had to work with Rafael's demanding girlfriend. Who would have believed that would get worse? Oh, wait, she thinks he's staying with her. He's just using her. That can't end well.
Ro's life continues to be miserable and I'm loving it.

Poor Jane. Wearing all these silly costumes to have her picture taken with her sister. And being naked ... well, that was the last straw.
Nobody puts Baby in a corner! Seriously, is that really her name? Ro changed the baby's name so many times I can't remember what they finally ended up with.
Jane sure recovered fast. If you have a broken leg, doesn't it take you longer than that to run after people?
Adam said he would put up with Mateo. I think that's a perfectly acceptable response. Jane shouldn't feel insulted. I really want these two to stay together.
Speaking of which, Rafael finally came clean with Kitty. I don't know why I wasn't familiar with that nickname. I was in preschool with a Kitty and her real name was Katherine. "No one else can see me". So he has super powers? Ever since Petra appeared on that superhero show they can't stop mentioning superheroes. And this week Mateo did it too.
Or ... is she just delusional? No one COULD see him. So his plot to blow up the hotel ... not real? Just her imagination? I sure hope so. It would be a shame.
Petra's sister continues to be adorable. Their mom is out this soon after killing how many people? Only on TV.

I'm kind of busy these days so I'm behind schedule. I have plenty of time to catch up this weekend.
So Carl is real. But now Petra's sister has majority interest in the hotel. This should be good.
How can it be 2017? They skipped three years.
People who put ads and information at the bottom of the screen need to be aware people are speaking Spanish and we need subtitles! I know a few words but I can't follow everything.
Boring people can make good husbands. Lena is just being too picky and putting Jane in a difficult position.
I'm glad Rafael is okay and he should heal really fast.

I can't believe it. I'm so upset. They killed Petra's sister! I don't care that she was evil. She was adorable. If they had to kill someone, why not her mom?
It was nice that Jane got to have her book signing even with all the obstacles. Who would have believed she'd be so silly around her favorite author? I hope that bookstore can succeed once again. Not that I like books.
And now Adam is leaving. How could they make her sad again?

I've been seeing Rogelio on commercials.
So Petra's sister wasn't really dead. I thought the only question would be was she murdered. But now she is. I loved how it wasn't really Petra and she got the information she needed, but at the same time I didn't want Petra to have to go through that. But how could she teach those poor innocent children to hate their aunt? Anyway, now she's really gone. And I'm not happy. Why couldn't it have been their mom?
Nothing like an Abuela to make a Thelma and Louise type road trip considerably less fun. Why even have a convertible if you have to have the top up? But Alba showed she was hip later on. And I am happy for her. I think of her as old, but I shouldn't, because look how young Xo was when she gave birth to Jane.
Poor Jane cried on her book tour. So funny. But she recovered later on for part two and all is well.

It's back!
It's a shame Jane has to lie. We've known from the beginning how moral she is, but Mateo's education is important. And Alba did it for Jane. Look how that turned out.
Bringing the kids over shouldn't have been a problem. Why couldn't Jane just have been living with her parents? She's been living with her mother all these years, except briefly when she was married, and now she's still with her abuela. But the other mothers got suspicious because there was no explanation. As for the photos, they were beautiful. They weren't porn. It's not like you could see any parts, and even if there were parts we didn't see, those photos were art.
Xo was right to be disappointed her father couldn't spend time with her. But Alba made it clear that the elder Mateo had to work hard to provide for the family. I thought she was being kind of unreasonable, but she came around.
Petra is in real trouble. They're looking into her emails and phone records. They're going to find dirt. I like how they showed the other murders. Of course we know she didn't do anything to her sister. But it'll be hard to prove. Meanwhile, she has a hot lawyer.

I'm confused. Ro shouldn't be bored. I can understand if a man doesn't want to do "women's work", but if Xo has a job, then it follows that Ro has other work to do besides taking care of a baby. And yet that's all he does, other than post photos online.
I respected Ro's commitment, but let's face it. He's not happy.
I was getting tired of those "Law and Order" sound effects. Our beloved narrator recognized this. And yet he kept bringing them back.
Petra runs a hotel and Jane doesn't. But Jane runs the restaurant and she's smart. Why couldn't she run the hotel? I don't mean now. Surely Petra had to learn at some point. These things take time.
The other Jane ... I should call her "Otra Jane" because when I took Spanish in college, there were dos Janes. I don't know whether it was me or the professor but someone referred to Otra Jane. ... Okay, now where was I? I feel like the beloved narrator.
Oh, yes. The lawyer seems to have plans for Petra. The emails don't look good. Still, I'm hoping Petra gets out of her mess.
I did take Spanish but comprendo un poco. I need subtitles. I find it interesting to learn words I didn't know this way, but I don't remember them. And my CW affiliate is inconsiderate, putting stuff at the bottom of the screen so I can't follow. This happened once before and it happened this week.
I feel sorry for Xo's kids, but if she's not happy, I guess she should quit teaching them.
Jane is such a moral person. How could she even consider a "Fifty Shades" approach to her new book?
I knew the solution to both her problem and Petra's problem before they figured it out. Jane should write the book! Petra's not a writer.

I was thinking there wasn't another episode. But there was. Did I watch it? I've been so busy I don't even remember what happened if I did.
Oh, yeah. Otra Jane is now on Petra's side and I'm so happy. I don't want anything to happen to Petra.
Petra's hair is shorter. It still looks good but I liked it better long.
So Xo has a new job and she's happier.
Jane and Petra are having so much trouble working together to produce that new book.
And who says Jane can't run a hotel? She's smart enough. I'll bet she could learn.
Local people covered the subtitles again. It didn't last long but it shouldn't happen.
And other than that I just don't remember.

I'm happy it's back but some things bother me.
Ro is not well known? I thought he was the hottest actor in Latin America. Eva Longoria wanted him to screen test? I like that she acts like Gabby but I was hoping she wasn't really like that.
Petra got arrested but her hot attorney seems to have gotten her off.
I was hoping Rafael would succeed in his new career. I know, but she could have been running the whole place.
I hate that Jane is leaving her career. And it looks like teaching isn't working out.
I fear Xo may be cheating.

Okay, we know what Xo was really doing. And it was funny when Ro showed up.
I really don't like the idea that Xo has cancer. I don't want to see any of the family have to go through this. I watch this show to laugh. With no more time than I have to watch TV, you can bet i won't watch "This Is Us". Knowing how "Crazy Ex" handled suicide, I'm trying to be optimistic that this show will make us laugh at cancer, but I'm worried we're going to get too serious.
It bothered me for Jane and Rafael to be going after each other last week (that would be two weeks ago by now) but i guess it was funny. When it became apparent everyone knew, well, that was great. But Petra? No, I don't want Petra to experiment. I want her to be with men. Even if I do get to see as much of her as The CW will allow. Actually, I could see more if she were wearing a bra. And showing off her legs.

It was not confirmed. So we were going to go through the agony of waiting. Even Ro got serious for a change. I was so relieved ... but wait. "Yes, I understand." That's what you say when they don't want to tell you on the phone. But she knows for sure. And the way she looked when Ro came home. I knew there was some mistake.
What an introduction! The tooth fairy. I loved how Petra's twins told Mateo about the tooth fairy. They're so cute. And then after they learned their lesson, Santa Claus too?
Petra did such a great job as the tooth fairy. I didn't even know it was her.
Poor Brooke. Surely they covered her eyebrows with makeup.

They did manage to make cancer funny. We won't be miserable all the time. This isn't "This is Us".
Even Xo has a sense of humor. Two breasts!
I hadn't considered the possibility of deciding the type of surgery. I was thinking about all the misery that comes with the follow-up treatment.
I always like to hear Alba speak English even if it's to yell at someone who doesn't deserve it. I'm always paying attention to the subtitles and don't feel like I'm really getting to know her.
I didn't think it was such a bad think for Ro to continue working. Others are depending on him. Even Brooke. Nice of her to show she cares.
How can mud possibly be relaxing? And why did so many women walk around topless? Not that I'm complaining. But normally they cover their breasts with those towels.
It's sad that Mateo has to deal with this. Rafael is doing a good job considering he's not religious.
And the family seems to be focusing more on their faith, which is good.
I don't want to hear about Petra's relationship. But coming out to Jane and Rafael was funny. And she looks good in shorts. Why yoga pants when she's depressed? That depresses me.

I saw the most beautiful flowers and I thought of Ro. I know how much he loves that shade of purple and there was a lot of it. It reminded me that like Jane, he imagined himself and of course the other Ro wore purple!
Our beloved narrator is so considerate, starting on a positive note before reminding us what Xo is going through. It's not as depressing as I had feared but it's not always pleasant. It's helpful that we see her in real life, not sick at all, in those commercials. Where have those been lately, anyway?
I didn't know Alma was a nurse. I didn't think you had to have any qualifications to be a home care provider. I've had experience with them and I'm not aware if most of these people had any specific training.
I was rooting for Alma to be able to not only take but pass her test. Interesting that as she practiced she answered in English. That's so much easier for us. And Xo was not going to let them stop her! And she did it! She knew stuff I didn't know. I mean I did know, but over the years I forgot. Hey, It's not on the test anymore.
They mentioned it was March 5. Monday, March 5, which made it this year. Also that it was the fourth anniversary of Michael's death. And yet Trump is still president, even after they went forward three years. I liked how they changed him back to Obama. Are the writers being careful?
I like how JR and Jane are becoming more comfortable with each other. I'm not comfortable with JR and Petra together and I'm not going to be. I do like seeing Petra in shorts and she wears some really short ones. What really surprised me is that Petra said she had never heard of anyone not liking Jane. Besides herself? And now she loves Jane? Weird.
Ro called Mario Lopez "Slater". I love it! Good memories. Zack was the man.
Mateo likes his sisters even after the way they treat him? I guess that's normal for a little boy with sisters.

Ro stands by Xo no matter what.
Xo really seemed to be handling everything well and I thought she would get through her ordeal just fine. She had really recovered and was getting plenty of exercise. Who knew?
But look at what nine weeks did to her. She looked like people do on that other series. Where the girl solves murders by eating brains. They don't usually look like that, but when they get angry ... you wouldn't like me when I'm angry.
I just felt so bad for her. She could hardly move but she was determined to make it to that bench.
In an amazing coincidence I read a newspaper article. Yes, I still do that. It was about those cold caps. Now how did that happen at just the time I needed it to? I understood it so much better. Now Xo wants to give that up. I hate to see her lose her hair. She has great hair.
On the subject of timing, tomorrow is really the day Xo should have discovered pot brownies.
The worst thing about the episode was losing Donna. I was hoping we'd really get to know her. Xo liked being her friend. Naturally it upset her to lose Donna but not for the reason I had thought. I wasn't even thinking Xo might die. No we can't have even the suggestion of such a thing.
On a happier note, Jane and Rafael must behave in Alba's house!
On the other hand, Rafael was right to object to Alba hitting Mateo but not so harshly. We do not disrespect Abuela! And she made her demands in English! Serious!
I'm so glad Rafael and Alba were able to see each other's point of view.
I want to know why JR took nine weeks to finish her work on Petra's case. It was like everything else moved forward except that case. Were they not thinking?
I loved how it ended. The Friday cliffhanger. The writers know this airs on Friday! And they made it look like Xo and River were watching Jane and Rafael!
At least River is now convinced that telenovelas must be a certain way. That one fan was so excited to see Ro but so disappointed when everything was going to change for his show's American version. All we needed, though, was for River to visit Xo and find out what she was missing. And pot brownies can't hurt.

What a shame that the season is over. And what an ending.
I was so afraid we would hear some bad news about Xo's cancer and we wouldn't find out what was going to happen until next season.
I feel bad JR got disbarred, and now it appears it was all for nothing. But the way I interpret what actually happened is that Petra pushed her sister and her sister accidentally went over the railing. It was still not intentional. But that was a great way to end it. JR didn't forgive Petra but she was there and able to help her. Maybe save her life.
I never would have expected the secret Rafael was hiding. Alba said "If this were a telenovela ..." But it IS a telenovela. No, Rafael is not Jane's brother. I didn't think he would be.
Jane is going to be mad. Furious, even. Some women in her situation would be so grateful but I remember how she suffered. It was painful for me too. That's how good an actress Gina is. You have to figure Gina won't want to just forgive the offender. I just wonder how long she knew?
Five years since Mateo was born? But he's in school. It does make sense that they jumped forward three years when a total of five have taken place. But Mateo's got to be in the first grade. Actually, if Alba became a citizen on July 4, Mateo is finished first grade.
And now he can go to school in the district where his parents live! Assuming the events of the episode don't lead to a breakup.
Xo had a doctor's appointment. When I heard that I was so worried. But all seems fine. And she still has her beautiful hair.
Things seem to be going well for Ro.

No one else here discusses the show so I went looking for another place.
It was not a pleasant experience. Not only have I not found another site where people talk like they do here, but one site subjected me to Jane repeatedly screaming in response to the news of Michael's death. Very unpleasant. I've seen this sort of thing on Facebook. While I don't take the time to watch videos, there is a loop showing something that happens in the video over and over.

Kyle asked me to share this article:
Rita Moreno: A Star for All Platforms
MENTION RITA MORENO'S NAME, and the letters EGOT are often used to summarize her many accomplishments. And yes, being one of the first two women - and the first Hispanic person - to win an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony award is an easy enough indication of industry praise and distinction. It just leaves out the hard part.
Moreno remembers always wanting to be a performer. Coming to the mainland U.S. from Puerto Rico when she was 6, she was ready to dance into America's hearts, but America wasn't quite ready. In her own words, she was passive as a young woman, fol- -Jb '·W·' lowing the guidance of anyone telling her what to do. "I was only seen in one way and having to always speak with an accent," she once said. Those early stereotypical roles typecast her in such a way that a Life magazine cover story was titled, "Rita Moreno: An Actress's Catalog of Sex and Innocence."
But something changed when she played the first of her true career-defining roles: her Oscar-winning turn as Anita in the 1961 modern Romeo-and-Juliet musical West Side Story. Anita became, as she would later say, "my role model. [The film] changed my life."
Moreno embraced Anita's brazen self-confidence and then ran with it. After several noted Broadway performances, a Tony came in 1975 for Moreno's outrageous role in The Ritz. By this time she'd already proven her incredible versatility through years as a regular on the PBS children's series The Electric Company, for which she would win her Grammy and the first or her two Emmys-the other coming from a performance on the drama series The Rockford Files.
All of which underscores what is arguably the most important role of Moreno's career - that of role model. As Gina Rodriguez - who plays the title character on Jane the Virgin and is Moreno's granddaughter on the series so succinctly put it when helping honor Moreno at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2015, as a child, before seeing Moreno perform, she had never seen Puerto Ricans represented on screen, and had even questioned how long Puerto Ricans existed. But then, as Rodriguez said at the Honors: "I met you on screen and I just loved you, your bright smile, your persona, an independent voice that burst through every performance and I wanted to be just like 'Rita.' You gave me hope; you gave me a reason to fight and to speak."
Now a main cast member of Netflix's popular reboot of One Day At a Time, Moreno is also set to co-star in the film version of Lin-Manuel Miranda's popular musical In the Heights and is working with Steven Spielberg on a remake of West Side Story. Reflecting on her many awards, she once said.
I always have to remind myself that that isn't what makes me a valuable person; it just makes me a lucky person." Moreno's luck is our great fortune.-RE
Betty White: An Enduring Sitcom Icon
THE STORY GOES THAT NBC PROGRAMMING Wunderkind Brandon Tartikoff, on a visit to his elderly aunt, noticed how she and her best friend and neighbor bickered humorously, and interacted with love and the more-than-occasional zinger. That was one of several observations by the network's brass that helped give birth to a 1985 sitcom about a group of older women called The Golden Girls.
The high anticipation for the series was such that co-star Betty White, by then already one of the most lauded performers in TV history, quipped: "In all the hundred years I've been in this business, I've never seen this kind of pre-hype ... At least they can't miss the fact that we're on. We will not go down by default."
It did not go down at all, and White won a Best Actress Emmy for playing sweetly naive Rose Nylund on the incredibly beloved series. In all, White has won seven Emmys. And a People's Choice Award for "favorite TV icon." And a Guinness World Record distinction for "Longest TV Career for an Entertainer (Female)." And the crown for America's Most Appealing Celebrity from Reuters.
You'd think that at 97, White would be used to all these accolades, including, now, a Tartikoff honor. Instead, she remains humble and grateful - befitting her other seemingly acknowledged title as Nicest Performer on Earth (and Everybody's Favorite Animal Rights Activist). As she told B&C in 2011, when she was inducted into its Hall of Fame: "I'm the luckiest old broad on two feet. It's wonderful I'm still being dealt in."
And no wonder: She's been an ace forever. Her TV career began in 1949 - the same year the Los Angeles arm of the business started - and she scored two Emmy nominations in the 1950s. She hit a different gear in what was going to be a one-off guest role as always-on-the-make "Happy Homemaker" Sue Ann Nivens on The Mary Tyler Moore Show. After that one episode, series creator Jim Brooks said, "Don't make too many plans." Two Emmys came to her for the role in the quintessential 1970s sitcom, and The Golden Girls followed several years later. And while she remained a much-in-demand actress in the years that followed, it took the image of her being smashed into the mud and talking trash in a 2010 Snickers commercial to make everyone, including Saturday Night Live executive producer Lorne Michaels, take notice again. White would win an Emmy for hosting SNL and, as Michaels would later say of her performance, "As is her way, she completely over-delivered. She finds the way to get the laugh, quite often when there is no laugh there." To which Michaels added, in words that sum up White's entire career, "You just completely trust it when she's in charge." - RE

I was so happy this was coming back. I was so happy Michael was back.
Now we have to relive Jane being so very sad again. This is not what I signed up for. This is supposed to be a comedy. If there were funny moments, they were few and far between. Except for the beloved narrator's comments. He's usually funny.
I suppose Rogelio being conceited was one of them. Yeah, Jason doesn't get that channel in Montana. Oh, I know everyone has dishes but there's got to be a reason people in Montana wouldn't know who he was.
I suppose one good thing was Jane took off her pants.
