12.01 Twenty Klicks (9/23/14)
So happy this show has a 12th season. The premiere was excellent and highlighted the personalities and talents of the members of the team. I enjoy seeing Gibbs use his survival skills. Tim was very brave and showed concern for other members of the team. I am glad the I.T. was not a villain although he made some bad choices.
The humor near the beginning was fun to watch. All three of the team members wanted to accompany Gibbs, but Tony and Tim pretended they were making excuses. That was another lesson for the newbie.

I am enjoying NCIS and have several episodes to catch up on.
12.03 So It Goes - A case has a connection to one of Ducky's former friends; Ducky and Bishop go to London.
We met the love of Ducky’s life. Unfortunately, Ducky and his best friend wanted the same girl and wound up in a fist fight that left them estranged the rest of their lives. The friend married the girl and they had a less than ideal marriage. When Ducky reunited with the lady in London, she admitted she married the wrong man and it was obvious she and Ducky still had an attraction.
Ducky’s friend sent information to him because military personnel were being murdered. Unfortunately, the friend was also murdered before Ducky received the information. Bishop and Ducky investigated and was in the room with the murderer when they were notified who he was. The man was going to kill them, but Ducky quickly grabbed a souvenir scalpel from the desk and cut the man with it. Ducky is an expert with a blade.

12.04 Choke Hold - A research scientist is murdered and the primary suspect is wanted by the Russian government.
The big bosses were involved in this case because the Russians wanted the scientist returned to them if NCIS was able to locate her. Gibbs had no intention of turning anything over to the FBI or to the Russian Embassy.
An FBI Agent was also involved and she and Dinozzo flirted.
The hit woman used an unusual weapon which was a garrote that had a self-winding attachment that would pull the line tight enough to decapitate the victim. There was blood shed and decapitations, but the good guys won in the end.

12.05 The San Dominick - A deceased man is spotted overboard during a Coast Guard and NCIS training exercise at sea.
Gibbs and Bishop were in danger when they went aboard a ship that had gone off course. Their were pirates aboard the ship and NCIS had to use their wits to identify which crewmen were legitimate and which were pirates. It was an exciting episode.

12.06 Parental Guidance Suggested - The team examines multiple motives when a therapist married to a Navy commander is murdered.
I was a little surprised that they revisited Dinozza's sorrow over Ziva's decision to leave the team and him. He did everything in his power to be with her, but he had to accept her decision. Abby thought it was time to discuss it and move forward.

12.07 The Searchers - The team uncovers a fraudulent charity targeting those looking for missing military personnel.
This was a touching episode about the murder of a retired vet who spent his life searching for the remains of his best friend who was killed in Viet Nam.
The episode focused on the relationship between Bishop and Gibbs. Bishop received her 9-month evaluation and received a score that was higher than expected. She was thrilled until Ducky told her a low score meant Gibbs thought you had potential and gave the score to make you work harder. A high score meant the opposite.
Bishop was distracted by that information and made an error that allowed a suspect to escape. She felt terrible and Gibbs refused to reprimand her. They later had a shouting match during which she told Gibbs he should go ahead and say to her what he wanted to say. She worked all night to try to redeem herself.
At the end, Gibbs admitted he had been easy on her all along because he lost two people who sat at her desk. He said: “I was doing something wrong. When something’s wrong, I change it.” It was strange to see Gibbs so vulnerable. Then Bishop told him she wanted him to train her the way he trained Dinozza and McGee because they are awesome. She asked him to train her to be like him. When Gibbs simply said “OK”, I laughed because I remember how he trained the others. He had a smirk on his face when he entered the elevator. There will be no more sitting on the floor for Bishop.
One of the members Gibbs "lost" was Ziva who decided to return home. I still miss her.

"Grounded" (11-25-14) Only Abby could get Gibbs to agree to make a snow angel.

In "Cadence", we visited the military school Dinozza attended. He never talks about those years and does not want Bishop to tell the NCIS team what she learned about him. That was puzzling because he was respected by the members and faculty of the academy. Although the academy had a strong code of conduct, their honor guard was abusive to students they did not like or those who broke their rules.
I enjoyed learning about Tony's past and that he habitually broke rules before he attended the academy.

This Tuesday we saw the return of Tony's dad but to me and my mom, everyone seemed extremely tired in the episode and subdued.

In "No Good Deed", they talked about "Operation Fast and Furious" and said it was a disaster. I laughed because it sounded like maybe one of the writers did not like the movie.
I liked the poster board of McGee as the new face of NCIS. Tony was so jealous and, surprisingly, Jimmy can keep a secret.
