So Dean and Sam are hunting a MOTW again. Is Dean demon-less? Will Sam's shoulder ever heal? Werewolves? Watch the episode and discuss it here. Be sure to rate the episode in the poll!

The Winchesters lounging by the sea...who would ever have thought we would see that? I enjoyed the awkward responses Dean gave the officer at the police station. The responses were increasingly silly and then he said "Obama". The guys held some interesting conversations in the car, but I had the feeling Dean was needling Sam because he knew Sam did stuff he had not confessed yet. Also, Sam must have said "You were a demon" at least four times, which Dean did not appreciate. I did not care about Kate or her sister.

Good episode, I liked it more than I was expecting to based on some trepidations I read from others elsewhere going into it.* Better than the episode that spawned it.
Did that waterside scene feel very incongruous for them to anyone else, or was it just me? (The sunglasses cracked me up for some reason.)
DUDE, battery drain!! Turn off your lights if you're gonna be away from the car that long!
Geez, anvil, much?
At least they're talking like adults, FINALLY, but I get the feeling Dean hasn't shared the part about needing to kill and reverting back yet ... but maybe (hopefully) I'm wrong as that part of the conversation was rather vague.
Anybody else get the sense that Dean was hesitating to kill both times not just because he wasn't ready to be back hunting?
*Also looking forward to next week's episode after the teaser despite similar rumblings I've come across on that front.

When I watched this the first 2 times I thought it was just ok, but after reading some reviews I went back and watched it again and found a few things that I liked and thought were interesting. Let's get the bad out of the way first- I didn't like Kate the first time I saw her and didn't like her much more this time and didn't care for the sister at all, very stereotypical of a monster liking the power boost and killing. I get that the sister's relationship was kind of a mirror against the guys but since I didn't care for the girls much it didn't have the same impact as it could have had.
Dean and Sam sitting by the lake with sunglasses on, be still my heart. I have been hoping for a long time that we could see the guys when they are more relaxed, it didn't last long but I loved it. All the brother talks were nice yet awkward but I think they were meant to be that way. after being apart from people for a long time, sometimes we all don't know what to say and are unsure what to do, so I understand why the guys felt that way. For me the most emotional part of the conversation was when Sam was telling Dean, that he had carried Dean's body and put it on his bed. There is something about that little bit of dialog that is just so profound for me, it just struck a chord and I think it must have been difficult for Sam to tell Dean that.
Demon Dean was a scary fighting machine, human Dean has lost his step and needs to catch back up, I thought the fight scene between the guys and the werewolves was a little too easy and I expected a little more fight rom the guys. I think Dean is going to open up at some point about what he felt as a demon and maybe shed a little more light on that for Sam, I don't see this as being the last talk about what happened in their separation. I did think Dean was awfully cold when he flat out lied to Kate about the cure and was all set to go kill the sister. He was just so cold and emotionless in that scene, I thought maybe the MOC was affecting him at that moment.
It wasn't a great episode but it was ok.

Dean is such a good liar. When he said there was a cure for werewolves, I had to pause and think about when did that happen, but, of course, he was lying. I think they did need to kill the sister and Kate was not going to volunteer the location. The guys would have had to wait until there was another gruesome murder in order to pick up the trail. So, I guess that begs the question of would Sam go to any length to save Dean? Would he kill in order to save his brother? I do not think Sam would kill an innocent human, but I also know it is extremely easy to rationalize actions. Look how easily Sam leading the man to make a deal with a demon is rationalized. Their conversations were more revealing than usual, but I will be surprised if Dean tells Sam how the Mark really makes him feel. Maybe Dean will confess to Castiel because Castiel went through something similar when he had the god complex. I agree it was too easy for the wolves to get the drop on Sam and Dean. How long were they vacationing?

Sorry to say I cared nothing about Kate or her sister and the heavy handed allusion to Dean and Sam was....well heavy handed.
