Looks like this next episode will be on the comedic side. I hope it provides at least a few tense moments for us after last week's full on comedy episode. At least the boys are together!

It is nice to see Sam's arm no longer needs the sling. Dean loves compliments, doesn't he? I do not think I ever won a game of Clue, but it was fun.

The biggest thing I got from the episode was at the end when Dean emptied his gun into the shapeshifter. The look on his face and on Sam's tells me the MoC will become a serious issue as the season continues. "Real men don't drink from cups this small."

I enjoyed this light episode and there were no scary moments for me even though one of the family members wet her pants. Last week, we were given fan fiction and this week could have been called “pop culture”. I recognized a lot of the references but there were some I was not familiar with. Dean always gets excited at the prospect of having wealth, but he had to settle for a case this time. I laughed when he said they were lucky he was not wearing an elastic waistband because he obviously planned to do what most people do during the repast…eat as much as they can hold. Dean’s reaction to the “Feur Elise” tune for the doorbell was amusing. Phillip and Dash both made disparaging remarks about the guys’ clothing. And Dean kept referring to them as W.A.S.P.s. What a bummer that the rich folks did not even have real silver, which could have gotten them killed. Hetty and Beverly were attractive, but poor Sammy had to run from those cougars. They were playing with his hair and measuring the length of his hand. I think the funniest line was Dean’s response to Sam’s “husband and wife tag team ghosts”. Dean said “Oh, gotta keep the marriage alive somehow.” He is so silly sometimes. I could not help laughing when I saw the chalk outline and the head was over a yard away from the torso. I agree with SoCal that the most important thing that happened is the way Dean shot the shape shifter. I counted eight shots. Dean’s responses to Sam in the car – “target practice” and “wanted to make sure it was done right” fooled no one. The MoC is alive. Pop culture references: Mrs. Peacock Col. Mustard Candlestick Not the butler, it’s the maid. Rizzoli & Isle Wadsworth “Grey Gardens” cleared Baby Jane Mr. Belvedere “Flowers in the Attic” Izod pants

Fun episode! It reminded me of an episode of murder she wrote! In fact i recall two where jessica is held up with a wealthy family fighting over a will. But then the ending had to get all serious

Dean probably had flashbacks to the episode where the strange lady gave them tiny cups while she explained the fairy lore.

I am glad some people liked this, but I felt it was kind of a snoozer episode. I don't think the 2 writers who did this one really don't understand SPN, and I have always thought their episodes lacked a lot.
I liked the guys were on the same page for most of the episode and found the part with Sam and the cougars entertaining. ( I liked his shudder he did when he got away from them) The last 5-7 minutes were the best part, Dean was just COLD when he emptied the gun into the shifter, and in the car as they were leaving he was not his normal self, I felt he didn't know how he was supposed to feel so he was standoffish and rude, makes me wonder if he feels embarrassed by what he did. Dean is the king of Denial and I am sure he is trying to justify it to himself what he did. I think we all know that the MOC will be back in a big way and makes you wonder how dark will Dean go again, will he go so dark again he is in danger of being a Demon?
When Sam cured Dean from being a demon he didn't do the demon cure, he did a blood purifying thing, or whatever it was so who knows how long that will last if Dean gets into situations where he has to kill a lot, that is how the MOC is "fed" correct?

Yep. I assumed the First Blade needed to be fed, but now I am thinking maybe the MoC needs to be fed regardless of the weapon that is used. Sam is in a perilous position. Although Dean agreed to warn him if things go sideways, I doubt that he would. Sam's dilemma would be to decide how to keep his brother from harming himself or others.

I agree Anti, I think that it is the MOC that needs to be fed, but maybe the First Blade amplifies it into something uncontrollable?
I think we know now that Sam will do whatever it takes to save Dean, but it seemed like towards the end of last year he was slow to react in what was happening to Dean. I would hope he would react much faster this time since it already appears to be affecting Dean again. I don't think Dean would tell Sam what is going on, he never asks for help from anyone, well almost never, and he never admitted what was happening to him last year until he was dying and told Sam it was better that he die because he didn't like what he was becoming.
So even thought that boys are supposed to be mostly on the same page this year, I wonder just what is it going to take for Dean to realize that the MOC needs to go away.

It was said the only way to get rid of the mark was to pass it to someone else, but I have been thinking about this. The boys have discovered cures they did not know existed for other problems, like vampires and demons, so they might come up with something. Maybe the witch in the next episode will know something or maybe Crowley learned something while he was searching for the blade. Maybe?

It was always the MoC. Remember what Cain tried to tell Dean....that there were going to be consequences to having the mark, but Dean was too centered on having a weapon that could kill Abbadon.
