It's the mid season finale. What will happen to Beth and Carol? Will Rick and his group rescue them? What's the deal with Gabriel? Where are Glenn, Maggie and their group? How long will we be left hanging? Watch, rate and discuss

WHY THE HELL KILL OFF YET ANOTHER STRONG FEMALE CHARACTER WHEN WE HAVE USELESS LAME ASSES LIKE GABRIEL ! UGH. I had really grown to like beth. she's become such a strong character. And I really think we needed a younger strong female on the show. The episode was boring as hell up until the end. What was the point of the cops ? ? Like all this led up to was Beth being killed and there was nothing else going on. It was good to see Morgan again though. "On a scale of one to 10, I’d say [the midseason finale is] pretty deadly. - Robert Kirkman on the mid-season finale" Uh yeah that was so deadly

I...did...not...see...that...coming! The way the episode started I thought it was going to focus on a lot of bad-ass Rick action. I had never seen him take action in a manner quite so decisive and cold-blooded. That was probably my favorite scene of the episode and I am not shedding any tears for Bob. Gabriel had to personally see the carnage instead of taking the group’s word for it. He is lucky karma did not catch up with him when he was banging on the door. Honestly I would not care if he was a walker snack. Are we supposed to care about him? I was glad to see Glen and the others show up when the walkers were breaking out of church. Glen told Michonne that the story about DC was a lie, but in spite of that, she looked happy to tell Maggie that Beth was alive and was being rescued. When the exchange of members took place, I thought all would be well. Then when the shooting happened, I was stunned. Everyone looked shocked and it was heartrending. When Daryl cried and the others started to cry, it was so sad, it made me cry. Daryl was enraged and Rick looked as if he had lost his mind with anger. I did not want to see that happen. I knew it would be an awful moment when Maggie arrived. I think the scenes were well played, but I hate what happened. I thought Morgan was leaving the markers on the trees, but now I am not sure, but there could be different set of markers. The group will be homeless again in February.

I don't know about Rick. He seemed to be more like Gareth than the guy who was planting corn in the prison. I wonder how much further down this dark hole he will fall. And he seemed to lie about Bob's death so easily.
What is the deal with Gabriel? I agree with you, Anti. Are we supposed to care about him. He could disappear from the show tomorrow and I probably wouldn't notice. I don't get what part he is playing. But then, when Bob first joined the group, I didn't like him either. But I like Gabriel LESS. I don't get the school connection.
Glad Carl, Michonne and Judith escaped through the hole in the floor that Bob made. Pretty flimsy floor. Kinda wonder how the town folk didn't make it in through there.
I was thrilled when Abraham drove the bus up against the church doors. Way to go! I wondered how long it would take for them to rally at the hospital. Did Carl and Judith go along? I don't remember seeing them, but Gabriel was there.
Donna had me flummoxed. I was at the point where I couldn't decide whether she was a snake or just trying to hang on. Turns out she was a psycho snake. What else would have made her put the successful trade between the groups in peril? I suppose she thought she would look weak if she didn't demand Noah's return.
Beth's death was traumatic (but at least it was fast and no one had to put a knife in her brain). I had heard that someone was going to die in this episode so I was on pins and needles through the entire episode. But when Beth got that look in her eye after Donna said, "I knew you'd come back," I knew she was doomed. There had been rumors Glenn would be the one to die. What a shocker. Beth had been a real non-entity for most of the time. She only came to life as a character after she and Darryl were on the run after the prison disaster. I still thought she was kind of frail and could easily be killed, but at least this way her death was heroic. Not like some of the other characters who have been killed off.
Darryl's grief was heartbreaking. So was Maggie's. I wonder how the group will cope? What will happen after they leave Atlanta? Will they leave Atlanta? Shouldn't they find someplace to shelter and recover?
I wonder what's in store when episodes return in February?

I wondered how long it would take for them to rally at the hospital. Did Carl and Judith go along? I don't remember seeing them, but Gabriel was there. I wondered why Gabriel did not crawl back in the hole. Would the walkers know to crawl under the church? When I saw Gabriel at the hospital, I cringed because I thought he would be a liability. It occurred to me that Beth’s actions led to the elimination of the undesirables at the hospital and the rest of them can live in peace. It seems the only gain we received from all of that is Noah and an even higher level of distrust. Darryl's grief was heartbreaking. So was Maggie's. I wonder how the group will cope? What will happen after they leave Atlanta? Will they leave Atlanta? Shouldn't they find someplace to shelter and recover? I wonder what's in store when episodes return in February? I have no clue and a great desire to know. I am so vested in the show now (thanks SoCal ) that I watched the episode without viewing spoilers first and the ending gave me chills. The trailers for February do not give the impression of better days. Daryl might have to be the voice for the group while Rick has a meltdown.

I can't believe the 2 votes for "Mostly flawed" and "Complete waste." I supose it may be because viewers hated to see Beth get killed off.

She did not want to leave and it is even sadder because she kept crying during the interview after the episode. The show did it for dramatic effect. Some of my other favorite shows play the dramatic effect card also but the fans do not appreciate it.

I gave it a 1, not just because of beth (who i was spoiled about on saturday) but because the episode was so lackluster. Perhaps the epic midseason finale from last year spoiled it for me. But the hospital scene got old fast, I felt like they were trying to get us to sympathize with Dawn. But i could not care less. . . And for what reason since she's dead now? The michonne scenes have been sadly lacking, I hated that she was stuck with dumbo.
This season felt all over the place. The actors keep talking about how it's the best yet and i'm not seeing it. The terminus group had potential to be a big scary threat, but they got rid of it in what 3 episodes? And the cops... well cops are never scary unless they're named Rick Grimes.

hopefully show not going downhill. I do not think the fans will lose interest as long as they keep thinking of interesting (aka horrible) ways to present the walkers. I think the fans also love the core characters like Rick, Carl, Glenn, Daryl, Maggie and Carol too much to desert them. Michonne is one of my favorites but I do not know the impact, other than shock value, if she was killed.

I gave it a 1, not just because of beth (who i was spoiled about on saturday) Being spoiled on Saturday would have ruined it for me. The unexpectedness of the death is what made it affect me so greatly.
