This looks like it will be exciting. But finales of any sort usually are. What's going on with Dean and the MoC? How does Crowley factor in? What about his mom? What's up with Castiel? Are we really going to waste time with Jimmy's daughter? Where is Sam in the midst of this? Watch, rate and discuss.

Let me just say I'm tired of Dean and Sam being just the guest stars in their own show. And I don't care about Claire Novak. Nuff said.

I feel your pain. I enjoyed watching the scene in which Dean and Castiel were talking.
I anticipated the reunion between Claire and Castiel to be somewhat brief so I was a little surprised that the episode was really about her. I would have enjoyed it more if Claire was a victim because her harshness made it difficult for me to be sympathetic toward her. It did really suck that her mother left her instead of the two of them working through the trauma together. It is reasonable for her to be angry at Castiel, and I applaud him for not insisting that it was her father's choice, which it was in the beginning.
They cleared up the debate about when Jimmy ceased to exist.
Dean was already having nightmares and now it is worse. He said he did not mean to kill those men and he seemed stunned and bewildered. I believe him, but will Sam?

I believe him, but will Sam? Anti, there are reviews all over the place that really hate the fact that the preview shown after the last episode falsely represented what this one was all about. From the previews, it looked like it was all about the MoC and its effect on Dean with only minor excursions into Crowley and Castiel. Instead, the entire episode was about Claire and Castiel's guilt over her losing her father, Jimmy Novak. Claire was extremely unlikeable and made me unable to care what happened to her. Once again, the last two minutes focus on Dean and Sam and the MoC. And now we have to wait until the end of January to see if Carver and Co will make this the center of the rest of the season or if we'll continue to see only snippets of Dean and Sam as weekly guest stars. So far this season is somewhat disappointing except for when Jensen and Jared are allowed on-screen.

There is no doubt in my mind that they tricked us. Not only did they trick us, but they robbed us of seeing Dean in action...unless I blinked.
I always enjoy seeing Cas in fight mode, but the Claire story was a disappointment to me. I did like seeing Cas snatch her dumb ass out of the gas 'n sip though.
I hope the sensitive Castiel fans do not take a virtual whipping over the episode. I am not sensitive about it.

Some lighter moments: Tips on bed bugs: "Sleep tight and don't let them bite." Dean: "A chick bolting from you is not an emergency. That's every Friday night for Sam." John Winchester walked into a New York club full of tough guys and did not have to say a word. Guy said "Sorry, sir." Castiel's "I am not your father." Crowley was conceived during a winter solstice orgy. _____ When did Castiel stop wearing a tie?

Hello , So let's get the bad out of the way first. The promos were very misleading and the episode didn't live up to what everyone thought it would be. I don't put a lot of faith in those promos anymore they usually just cause us to be disappointed and this one really did. I thought the writing was a little subpar for some of this episode, and I found the whole Rowena stuff boring. Did anyone else miss a little bit after the first break? I think I was cheated out of a little bit of the episode when it came back on right after the first break. I did read that this is the episode that they were filming when it was the big hype going on for the 200th episode so that might explain why it was Winchester lite. Anti, Cas stopped wearing a tie in S9. I didn't care much for it the first-time but I have watched it 3 times now and have found a few things to like about it. I didn't mind Claire, I liked her much better than Krissy or Kate and her sister. I liked how when Cas first walked into her room she had a hopeful look on her face, she really wanted it to be her dad. She did seem to bond a little with Cas at the end. I liked the little talk the two of them had at the rest. and I liked the talk that Dean and Cas had at the same rest. I don't think Cas would kill Dean, he has had opportunities before when he wasn't himself and never did and then gave up his army last year because he wouldn't kill him. The scene of the guys in the tiki bar was wonderful, talking about fathers, of family, was sweet and I always like hearing the guys talk about their dad, who they seem to be building back up the past few years. I Loved seeing the guys in the bunker laughing and spending time together, and what is with Dean eating so much this time? The end was heartbreaking, Sam had been waiting on something to happen and it did, and Dean seemed confused and ashamed of what happened, he would barely make eye contact with Sam. So where do we go from here? I have a few random comments and question. Family is big this year and now we have 3 sets of families, The Winchesters, Cas and Claire and Crowley and his mom, who is a master manipulator and I think she may be the big bad this year. Crowley said he had a family, who was he talking about? Sam and Dean, Cas? he has been hanging around them for long enough and I think he has some kind of feeling for them. What is going to happen for/to Dean now?

Hi I liked the episode, but I never, ever enjoy scenes with self-pitying angry teens. It irritates every nerve in my body, no matter what show I am watching. I enjoyed seeing Castiel reveal more emotion than he did in the past and that he does feel a real sense of responsibility for the harm he caused. Whenever a flight risk says she has to pee, we know she is going to sneak away. The only thing wrong with the bunker scene was Dean was watching the Stooges. I think I could hate Rowena more than Metatron. I think Crowley would protect Dean and Sam from Rowena and that he feels a bond with them.

Color me confused. The promo for the episode in January appears to show Dean in a room with Metatron and punching him in the face. Isn't Metatron in a jail cell in Heaven? How does Dean get there? Whaaaaaaa?

Hi , SoCal, I saw the Jan promo also, I am really hoping they don't take Metatron from heaven's jail, that would be a HUGE mistake, along the same lines as when the guys left the room when Abbadon was put back together. Anti, I agree, I normally can't stand the teenage emotion filled drama scenes, but I was ok with Claire, she seemed a little more mature than the other ones. I can't say how much I can't stand Krissy and her band of misfits. I am not sure what Crowley is thinking or doing? He is always way ahead of everyone else, so is he trusting his mom or is he giving her the room to show him she can't be trusted? I think she would turn on him in a heartbeat. I keep thinking about his comment he made about family, is it the guys, or is he talking about Gavin, and/or Rowena? I don't care for her either Anti, she is grating on the nerves. Dean asking Cas to take him out was sad, and him not wanting Sam to save him, it tells volumes about where Dean's thinking is and how little he thinks about himself. As I am typing this I have TNT on in the other room and it is a SPN marathon and What is and shouldn't be is on, Dean is talking to John's grave and once again, his non existent self esteem issues are out, thinking he is only a soldier and his life is worth nothing. Poor baby, you just want to give him a hug. I do hope when it comes back in Jan we get some actual conversations between Sam and Dean about what is going on with him, and what Sam is willing to do to save Dean from himself.

I read somewhere that with this episode, Supernatural had become a soap opera with Jensen Ackles and Jared Padelecki only being used as viewer bait. I couldn't agree more. I blame the angels.

How did I miss that post? I do not like soap operas and I think Supernatural will be back on track with Dean and the effects of the Mark.
