Friends, it's been a LONG time coming, but at last, TWD returns this coming Sunday night. Our little group had successfully reunited at the hospital following Beth's tragic death. Now, what do they do? Keep running or find some place to hunker down and lick their wounds and heal? I have a feeling it's going to be an interesting spring season. How about you? Watch, rate and discuss here!

I guess the beginning had to be sad because they lost Beth and Bob. I don't know if I could listen to words of "hope" or inspiration from a minister who locked his people out of the church, but perhaps his words will help Rick's people.
Michonne was anti-social when she met Rick's group, but now she encourages them to be optimistic. o/t I marathonned seasons 1 and 2 of "The Wire" and "Bob" starred in it. He had the same walk, demeanor and mannerisms in that role that he exhibited in "The Walking Dead". I kept thinking about him in TWD while I watched the dvds.

WHAT THE FUCK WAS THE POINT OF KILLING OFF TYREESE RIGHT AFTER BETH?!?!!??!!? What really pisses me off about this is I feel like it was far too soon for him to be killed off. Like there's so much more that could've been done with his character. But yet we still have assholes like father gabriel around. Guess the show can't have more than 2 black males on the show at a time. whoops. Getting real tired of their bullshit writing for shock value.
I wasn't expecting such a heavy episode after we just came back from one with Beth. Tyreeses death served no purpose other than shock value.
And then why fool us by chopping his arm off giving us hope that he'd survive? BULLSHIT.

I need to sleep on this because it was shocking. However, I did like the return of the characters because they served an important purpose.

What a big disappointment. Not only did we lose a character we've all grown to love, the episode did absolutely nothing to advance the storyline. All of Tyreese's memories were somewhat lost on me....at least most of them. I don't know what else to say.

I have slept on it and can see both pros and cons. Immediately after viewing it last night, I felt exactly the way Lisa wrote in her post – that it was a huge disappointment. If this episode took place four years from now, I would view it as an awesome tribute, but I think killing another popular character at this time was premature and added nothing to the story.
The opening scene was a clever piece of misdirection and I thought they were burying Beth. During the opening, I did not understand why we were seeing flashes of images that I did not recognize, but that became clear later.
TWD does strive to give its characters an interesting going home party rather than glossing over their deaths and they devoted the entire episode to Tyreese’s departure. His hallucinations showed his inner struggle with the decisions he made along the way and I think he made peace with them at the end. It was awful to see him lose so much blood while he waited for help and then seeing them amputate his arm. The whole thing was sad and awful.
We saw a lot of bodies that were cut in half and decapitated heads, but there was no explanation for that. The walkers looked good and some of them were very fast. Michonne looked awesome swinging the sword…until it broke. That is the first time her weapon failed her.
I am going to give it a 4 because the episode was very well done even though I do not like what they did.

My emotions were all over the place last night! lol I watched talking dead today and Chad Coleman totally changed my view of the episode. I'm still not happy tyreese died but at least it wasn't something that was done in the last 5 minutes of the show. His sendoff was beautiful and I enjoyed seeing the others again. Also... did anyone notice walkers with w's on their foreheads? or skeletons? Chris Hardwick talking about it but i don't recall seeing that.

It should be recorded and I am going to check to see if I notice any W's on the walkers. I did not notice when I watched it live.

On The Talking Dead, in response to the recent deaths, Greg Nicotero said " It gets worse."
I think there are way too many characters now ... 16. I would not be surprised if they killed one off in each of the next 7 episodes.
I like a lot of characters, but it doesn't seem good for the writers.

Michonne is beginning to sound like the "moral compass" for the group and we know what happens to anyone who takes on that responsibility.

The poll results are interesting. Each of us had a different degree of satisfaction.

Michonne is beginning to sound like the "moral compass" for the group and we know what happens to anyone who takes on that responsibility. And Frank called her the moral compass on talking dead! Michonne is the only badass female we have left they better not kill her off.. yeah we have maggie and the rest but Michonne is in a league of her own. And I'm still hoping for that Rick/Michonne romance.
