Cain has returned and he's in a killing mood. Can Cas help Dean and Sam stop Cain? Will Dean be able to rid himself of the mark? Watch, rate, and discuss

I enjoyed seeing so many of my guys in this one – Dean, Sam, Castiel, Crowley and Cain. I also enjoyed seeing the demon with lovely red hair who should not have whined about getting credit for his work.
There were so many wonderful shots of Dean’s beautiful face that I would lose focus on what was happening and needed to go back several times. I think the story played out very well and the acting was excellent. I think everyone (except Cain) was a little scared of Dean. Sam looked nervous, Cas looked worried and Crowley looked untrusting.
I absolutely loved it when Dean handed the Blade to Castiel instead of to Crowley. I think Crowley and Dean will now return to being enemies.
I am concerned about Dean though. He is acting as if he can handle it, but Sam and Cas know he is in trouble. I do not want to wait until March to see what happens.

Cain isn't dead...he's possessing Dean. By the way, Cain has AMAZING hair!
I feel really bad for Crowley. Poor guy.

I do not want to know if that is true, but it is an exciting prospect for a story line. Cain's hair really is amazing. Crowley has always been one of my favorites and I want him to get back in the game. I was hoping he would slap Rowena.

I really loved the episode. This is the Supernatural I've known and loved all these years. I would have given it a 5, but for the wasted minutes spent with Crowley and Rowena. Crowley used to be such a great bad guy. Now he's a farce. I hope his character is redeemed sometime down the road. Rowena needs to disappear. She is the worst character since Sam's veterinarian girl friend.

I really liked this episode, but I was so tired the first time I saw it, I had to watch a few more times before I could appreciate it. I agree with you SoCal, they wasted precious minutes with Rowena, she needs a reason to be there, so far she is just increasingly annoying. Either the buildup to her story is moving at glacial speed, or there is NO point to her being onscreen, do something with her, SOON! On to the great part of the show, Jensen, Jared, Misha Mark, and Tim O. were all great tonight, the acting, the movements, the facial expressions and most of the dialogue all fit and was on point. Even though Mark didn't get much to work with when he was with his mother when he was with the guys, he was his more snarky self, this is the Crowley that is the master manipulator, what has happened to this guy? Or is it Rowena's influence or presence that is messing with him. He is off his game, the old Crowley would never have allowed Dean to get the upper hand by lying to him. I hope we see the old Crowley soon, the presence of his mother has not helped him. But Rowena did say one thing that I thought was interesting, she said he had made it possible all by himself for her to see him again, is it because of him allowing Gavin to stay in this time, did he change time/history? Cas seemed really worried about Dean, and I was a little surprised that he didn't seem more concerned for the boy and was willing to use the boy as bait for Cain. I do enjoy seeing Cas and Sam become better friends, I think it is high time that Sam had a good friend. I am also a little worried about Cas, he seems a little weak lately, is it the slow waning of his grace again? Please don't let Cas sacrifice himself to save Dean at the end of the season, I enjoy this little band of 3 saving people and hunting things. I think Sam is becoming his true self again, the brother that cares for others and looks out for and tries to save his brother, this is the little brother we used to see. You look at Sam and you see the care, compassion, concern and outright worry and heartbreak on his face for Dean. He wants Dean to care about saving himself, and he tries so hard to put that into Dean, I hope he succeeds, I enjoy this version of Sam so much, I think I love him a little more every week. He wants nothing more than to save his brother and he tries to reassure Dean that he can do it, and he is at the point where he won't give up and he will stop at nothing to save Dean. Dean, Oh honey you look so completely spent and as if you can't go on another day. He actually told Sam that he was scared, he has only done that a few times in this journey, I think that is one reason Sam knew Dean was in trouble. Dean really wanted to believe he wouldn't have to kill Cain, he wanted to believe he could be saved, because IMO Dean felt that if Cain could be saved that Dean can be saved, I don't think he believes that now. Poor Dean, his self loathing and self esteem issues have taken hold of him and he truly believes that there is nothing left to fight against. I have to point out that Jensen did a phenomenal job in this, his facial expressions and body language made you feel how tired he was and how he was carrying so much eight on his shoulders. Jared was excellent in his acting also. I do want to point out that I really enjoyed Cain/Tim in this, his absolute confidence and almost boredom with doing what he thought needed to happen was kind of creepy, he was never going to stop in his single minded focus on his "mission" I felt that he and Jared were tied for amazing hair , and I really loved Tim's pretty blue eyes. I thought he was excellent as Cain and he could have been used a few more times in the show, but as we all know SPN has to kill off the great guest stars. (boo)
