OK SPN lovers, the mid-season hellatus has come to and end and Supernatural moves to its new night, Wednesday. After the emotionally wild ride the last episode brought us, what can we expect for Dean and Sam post-Cain? Will Sam be able to find a cure for Dean? Will Dean be able to control his killing rages brought on by the mark? Oh, and it looks like Cole is back. Watch, rate and discuss.

I am glad Cole has a greater purpose than what we have previously seen. I really like him and I enjoy Dean having someone to exchange snarky comments with.
I got excited when I saw the thread...until they reminded me it comes on Wednesday instead of today. One more day...
I just checked the prime time schedule for Wednesday and Supernatural is up against the two-hour season finale of Empire which is one of the most watched new shows on TV. I hope the combination of Arrow and Supernatural will help our ratings tomorrow.

This monster of the week was similar to the one where Bobby was infected with the worm creature. The creature must have been different though because electrocution did not kill it. All I am going to say about the monster is that stuff makes me nauseous. I like Cole and was happy to see him again. He is a true hero in real life and I admire the role he plays on Supernatural. Nice tat on his arm “Strength to Change”. The references Cole and Dean use for each other are amusing. Cole kept calling Dean “Dean-o” and Dean did not protest. He also called Dean and Sam “machete brothers”. Dean referred to Cole as “Kung Fu Grip”. Sam would not let Dean accept a slice of cake and it was so cute when Dean swiped some of the chocolate icing. Cole’s purpose was to protect and save his buddy and that conflicted with the Winchesters’ goal to protect people from the monster, even if it meant killing Kit. When Cole became infected, I was shocked Sam left him with Dean. I thought Sam should have stayed with Cole and let Dean take care of Kit. Why did Dean not tie Cole down as soon as they started the dehydration process? Cole could have swallowed salt since that would have sped up the process or maybe killed the creature. Then when Dean kept drinking water in front of Cole, it seemed like he was baiting him so he would have an excuse to feed his Mark. At the very least, Dean was taunting Cole. Is the Mark making Dean heartless? Sam was warm and compassionate while talking to Kit’s wife and, of course, he did not bother to keep watch over the prisoner. Sam has escaped from being bound at least a hundred times so he should have known a supercharged man could get loose. In the end, Sam did what needed to be done. I am glad all of them parted with a better understanding of their roles in life and I am glad Cole wanted to go home to his family instead of becoming a hunter.

Hi Anti , Sorry I haven't posted before now, I have been working more hours and am usually too tired to post right away. I did like the episode, it was better than I thought it would be, the only thing that really bothered me about it was it was just WAY too GROSS. You can tell when certain directors do these episodes. (John Badham) Poor Sammy, You just really feel for the guy and I just want to give him a big hug. He is hurting so much out of frustration, and despair and he wants so much to help Dean out with his problem. None of us believe for a minute that Sam will just stop looking and researching to find something for his big brother. When Sam and Dean were first in the car and Dean was talking and Sam just sat there and never said a word, he looked crushed, and I was thinking was he looking crushed because Dean didn't want to look anymore, or crushed because he hadn't been able to find anything yet, or was it a combination of both? I have read a few reviews about Dean not showing any ill effects of the MOC and I think people are not paying attention to how Dean is acting, otherwise they would see that Dean is off. Dean has never been one to back down from a fight, but he seems to be always ready to be the one to go fight now, he is harsher than he needs to be, and then less concerned when he is harsh to what that might do to someone. There is something off about how much he eats this year, he seems like he is always wanting something, he is always eager to fight, to eat, to hook up, the effects are there but they are somewhat subtle. I do like how he was able to help Cole and was didn't kill him, I think Cole, Sam and Dean made peace between them, and I enjoyed the banter between the 3 of them. I am glad Cole didn't die, I think he is growing on me and I enjoy him more now, I love how intensely he was about standing up for and helping his friend out. He was willing to do whatever it took to help Kit out. ( sound like anyone else we know) I think Cole would make a good addition to the hunter network of friends.

Ni November and AA I really liked this episode. "Porn?" Erotica." "Zip it up and look at this!" Dean is either not having any MoC/Cain side effects or he is very good at pretending in front of Sam. I wonder how many more MoA (mother-of-all) Eve worms are out there? If they spread as far as the middle east, who knows where they may show up next. Am I mistaken or did these worms look more......hairy and toothsome? I seem to remember the worms that we saw a few seasons ago were just black and slimy. Remember the "black goo" in the people's ears? I hope this doesn't mean they're capable of adapting. Cole was just outstanding. What a terrific character. If they ever want to make an SPN spin-off, it should feature Cole in the lead role. Of course his wife and son might have to....go away, but that would be the means of forcing him into hunting like Bobby and Dean and Sam. Does it seem to anyone else that Sam sucks at hunting this season? What is up with that? While I'm happy that Dean finally has a storyline, I don't think that should mean Sam is just thrown aside. We know he is busy researching the MoC, but a few shots of him looking at a computer screen doesn't count as a lot to do. All in all, a great return to the rest of the season and I hope against hope that we see Cole sometime in the future. So do Dean-o and Sammy, I think!

SoCal, I agree that Sammy isn't doing very well as a hunter, I mean c'mon Sam you know the guys is killing people you could have tied him up a little better than that. But it does make you wonder, is his heart in hunting right now, or is all he can think about is helping Dean? I didn't like Cole in the beginning because he hurt Sam, but he is starting to become more likeable, and I am looking forward to him being on there more.
Anti, That is an interesting idea about the salt, I never thought about that, or they could have went the route they did on Angel when Fred had something in her and they used alcohol to dry her out. I have to admit, that was what I thought they would do to dry out Cole. I also wondered why Dean didn't tie up Cole at the beginning and then when Cole asked him to, you knew that wasn't going to end well.
