This was an exciting, but tragic, episode.
Barbara visited Jim Gordon and tried to convince him she was sane now. He was too angry to care about her. When he booted her out, Harvey was approaching and his reaction to seeing her was very funny. I think he expected to see Jim covered in blood.
Jim remained on leave from the force so that he could keep his promise to track down who ordered the assassination of the Waynes. He told Harvey he wanted to do things his way without the Captain looking over his shoulder. The criminals got a whopping taste of Jim's form of interrogation as he bashed their heads and dipped their heads in the toilet. He did get a location for The Lady. Barbara showed up while Jim was being told he could not enter.I did not know whether or not Barbara could be trusted and I do not blame Jim for not wanting her in his life.
Meanwhile, Master Wayne was following his own path to find The Philosopher. He learned more about the type of man his father was and became even more determined to follow through on his quest. He found someone who could identify The Philosopher and things became very exciting, but ended in tragedy.
The next episode is May 2.

I didn't watch that movie preview, but before the episode began, Charlize Theron and a couple of others were on saying this was coming up. She was looking a lot better than she did in the movie "Monster". I looked it up and she won an Oscar, but she looked like she had cancer or something.
I know they can't kill Jim since he is a major character when Batman finally does appear, but they keep scaring us.
Barbara was funny and I did like watching her.
When they started talking about it, I suspected Hugo Strange was the one using the Wayne Enterprises project for evil purposes.
The "Jeopardy" champion who has been winning all week, and winning spectacular amounts of money, looks like Strange.
I still say unless those cars are all old, Jim's phone should be the size of a shoe.
And no one has the Internet.

I really liked that music at the end. Anyone know how to find out what that was?
I really could have done without Galavan coming back like that. On the other hand, the reaction to his return (was that his sister?) was entertaining.
And did someone kill The Commish?
I liked the statement that Jim would never be in charge, because isn't he the Police Commissioner in the comics?
They waited a long time to show Penguin, which was strange.
Nygma was funny. At least the episode had that.

At least the episode had that. The music at the end when Nygma found a way to get to Strange's secret area is "I'm Looking Over A Four Leaf Clover" by Mitch Miller. I liked Galavan's sister's reaction to his return also. The funniest part of that scene for me was when Barbara was holding the cleaver in the air and asked if they had lime. Galavan seriously injured the Commish, but he was not dead when they put him in the ambulance. Yes, I smirked when the Commish said Jim would never be in charge. Nygma is very calm in that neurotic environment. It sounded like a lot of people in rooms on the secret floor. Master Bruce seemed entranced as he gazed upon Azrael in uniform. I wonder if the cape gave Bruce the idea for his disguise as Batman.

Spoiler: I came across this while surfing the web. I think they should not have revealed the information and let us find out during the finale. I like story twists when they make sense. Fish Mooney Returns in Gotham Season 2 Finale

The music at the end when Nygma found a way to get to Strange's secret area is "I'm Looking Over A Four Leaf Clover" by Mitch Miller. Where did you find this out? I did recognize Mitch Miller's style, though others are similar. I forget which song, but I remember when my favorite radio station (at the time) played more contemporary music for a month. The weekend that they went back to the old style there were local DJs at the time I was listening and I do remember hearing Mitch. It might have been "Yellow Rose of Texas".

I used an app, Shazam, which is available for most media. I placed the phone next to the TV and tapped "Shazam". It instantly told me the title and artist of the music and played the entire tract for free. My grandsons introduced me to the app years ago and we have never had a problem with it.

It has been a while. I usually watch this on Monday, so that's not the problem. But this week that's the night I chose to read newspapers rather than watch TV.
Okay, it's coming back to me. Galavan remembers who he is, sort of.
I do recall that Harvey didn't want to be captain, but someone had to be. Meanwhile, Jim kept acting like a cop even though he wasn't one.
And Penguin is mad.
Bruce is still disobeying Alfred. I do recall someone, probably Galavan, was wearing a mask and a cape, and Bruce seemed quite interested.
Strange managed to clear out the room covered by a warrant and insisted they get a new warrant before searching anywhere else.
Selena and Nygma traded places. I like Selena's hair better this way.

I liked Penguin's solution to handling Galavan. I was dismayed to see Penguin remaining in that house without getting rid of the bodies.
It seems odd to me that Strange was able to trap Selina in an area with her friend. It looked as if he planned it, but there was a lot of activity to remove patients and not much time to plan something like that.

Darn it! I do not think I saw the end to the episode. I hope I do not need to watch it from the beginning on-line because I remember a lot of it.

I never have to watch anything from the beginning online. You can click at the point where you think it will start and they'll just make you watch a bunch of commercials, but you get to start where you want.
Fish remembers her life. They've never done that. She's as nasty as ever.
Nygma has been funny lately.
Jim's card which had expired seems like very advanced technology considering how old the cars are (but then so does his cell phone). I've forgotten when cards like that were first used.
Harvey is doing an amazing job considering he doesn't want to be captain. I liked his answer when he was asked how long he'll continue to be captain.
I find it curious he was called "Captain of the GCPD". Captains are in charge of precincts and I assumed that's what The Commish was. Someone else had the title "police commissioner" who I assumed was in charge of all the precincts.

Did the episode end when Harvey stormed into the asylum with cops? I do not remember what happened to Selina and her friend. "Captain of the GCPD" was probably a blooper. I am glad Harvey is getting some credit because he really has done a good job.

Okay, it looks like I have to do this on my own.
That was one exciting episode. Like a James Bond movie, they just have to count down until one second before the bomb goes off before it is miraculously disarmed. And somehow they did it. And Fish nearly made it out with all those monsters.
Nygma was great but it was scary watching everyone almost die. I thought it was a shame Strange locked him up again.
I had forgotten about fake Jim until I saw the "previously", but as soon as he spoke, I knew that was fake Jim. He was funny.
It looked like there was no way Strange could survive and I thought that was a shame. How he looked like he was either burned or frozen and yet he still was alive I don't understand. But he doesn't seem so confident now, does he?
Bruce just won't give up. Alfred keeps trying to stop him, but he wants answers.

The Commish lost his wife.
By that I mean Theresa Saldana, who played the Captain's wife in the TV series "The Commish".

It was an exciting episode. I was surprised Fish walked away and left the bus locked with the "monsters" inside. She will probably round up some of her former employees like Butch and make them do her bidding. She was tough before and she now has special abilities. Butch and Cobblepot work well together.
I hope Jim locates his lady and that she will take him back.
Even though Harvey does not really want to be in charge, I hope he gets some type of promotion for the good job he has done.
Selina has helped Jim so many times, he really is in her debt. I hope he treats her better than he does Penguin.
I expected to see more action from Harvey Dent this season.
