Cas has reunited with the brothers, but he is still under the influence of Rowena's spell. Dean is protective of baby Amara, and maybe older Amara? Crowley has Amara who is no longer a baby, but is now a little girl, shades of Lilith! Woman from the Darkness cloud seems to be separate from child Amara, but refers to both of them as we. Sam considers locating Metatron to help with the Darkness, but Dean isn't on board. Sam locates and captures Rowena. What do you make of all these teases? Will Rowena remove the spell from Cas? Will the boys decide to enlist Metatron in their quest to fight the Darkness? Will Crowley be able to use Amara? Or will she use him?

I think if Cas sees Metatron, he will be so angry that he will break those chains like he did when the angel killed Hannah.
It seems to me that the Darkness is more evil than Crowley and that he will not be able to control her. If they become allies, we will see how evil Crowley can be. I am hoping God's #1 comes to the rescue since he might know something that will help.

Whew, first let me say I am glad Cas will not be a spell-bound monster for another episode, but I did not trust Rowena to remove the spell until she finally did. I know Cas feels ashamed for beating Dean up, but the beating probably made Dean feel a little less wretched about the role he played in causing Rowena to use Cas to kill Crowley. I will graciously refrain from commenting on the boys letting Rowena escape. I thought Rowena would race back to the bunker to get the Codex, but she might be a wee bit afraid of the Winchesters.
Crowley is probably the worst boss ever! That Dark Child (what are we supposed to call her?) gives me the creeps and she looked as if Crowley might be her next meal. So far, we know she can infuse people with a killer disease, practice telekinesis and eat souls. She can also communicate with an incarnation of herself through a mirror.
During the discussion in the bunker, Sam indicated God might be closer than they think. I wondered why Sam would think that vision came from God rather than one of God's angels who are in the pit. Castiel is certainly not expecting any help from God.
Dean is as gorgeous as usual, even with lumps and bruises on his face.

It was an "Okay" episode, Jensen's direction notwithstanding. Too many choppy storylines. Loved "an angel and a demon meet in a bar." Funny Hated how Crowley acted. More like an irritated parent than the KOH. And bringing in a bag of "goodies" for the Darkness? Come on. Silly "nanny" costumes. Glad Castiel is better. Amara is looking like she could be a fun evil character. I wish they would get rid of that silly, silly throne room in Hell. My idea of Hell was the nothingness with chains that impaled Dean at the end of season 3. Hope next week is better.

Oh yes, I also enjoyed the bar scene with the demon and angel.

Hello! I also think this was an ok episode, it had good and bad moments in it which left it ok for me. I don't know how but Jensen and Jared get better looking as they age specially Jensen, it is sometimes hard to focus on the story. I loved the TFW aspects, I loved how they worked together to fix Cas and it actually showed them caring about Cas, that was long overdue. Sure they ask him a lot of times if he is ok, but I think this is the first time we have seen them care for him. I know the show is about the brothers, but Cas has earned his place as an honorary brother in my opinion. I am happy to see some of the humorous aspects of Dean back this year, last year he was so weighed down with the MOC he almost never smiled or laughed, this episode he seems lighter, and he winked, and the toss the purse behind his back move was great. I think that he and Sam will have a real talk soon, and they will come clean with each other, I think that they will both realize that what they both went thru last year was towards a common goal and they both did bad things and done things they had to do. Does this mean they will never hide things from each other, Of Course not, but I think/hope they will be more united this year. I do think that Dean wouldn't let Cas heal him because he felt he deserved it. Sam seems lighter this episode and he seemed as if he was starting to have some hope, I hope he tells Dean what happened to him in the hospital, that is something that needs to be shared. I think he is willing to reach out more and has always been like that in order to beat the bad guy. He has always been the one to make a bad deal or work with the enemy in order to beat a worse enemy. I do wonder how many of the Winchester foes will have to fight together to beat back the Darkness? Cas's look as Sam called his car crappy, Dean in disguise, Sam not taking crap from Rowena, Dean backing away from Cas when Cas said he heard voices, all good moments. I was less happy with Crowley and Amara, I really hope we don't go back to wussy Crowley from last year who was just blah, until the end of the season. We have seen him be crafty and he was trying to get info out of the girl, but buying a dark being a "uncle hoppity" book, what? We all know that is going south and soon.
