The mid-season finale looks like an intense one. One that will leave us hanging until its February return:

It was a little dis-jointed, jumping from scene to scene.
The best part was with Same and Lucifer. Mark was great, as always.
Crowley and Rowena were just side hangers. I really didn't see a point to them being in the episode.
Curious about Amara's statement to Dean that they "would become one." Yikes.
Sam in the Cage with Lucifer. Yikes.
But if it's the Cage, then where's Michael?

I have not posted earlier because I damaged my fingers and trying to type was painful.
It is probably the first time I guessed correctly, but I always thought it was Lucifer communicating with Sam. I thought he would provide Sam with information, but I guess that would have been too nice. I hope Sam does not agree to be Lucifer's vessel because Sam would then be gone forever. Rowena did not seem at all surprised by the turn of events and calmly told Crowley it was time to leave. Rowena also urged Sam to not wait for Dean. Did she plan this?
Yes...where is Michael?
Dean's relationship with Amara is fascinating. My mind is in a whirl considering what "become one" means. For one moment, I was surprised that Dean struck her with the blade, but then Amara said he did not really believe that would hurt her. Would he have killed her if he thought he would succeed?
Amara is trying very hard to get her brother's attention. It seems to me that her goal is to consume all souls within herself and "they will live on through her". Personally, that is not my idea of Paradise.
I am glad I was not active on the Web before the episode because someone might have leaked info about Mark's return. I was pleased to see him although at first I thought he was a figment of Sam's imagination.

I have to say I was disappointed in this mid season finale, I had higher hopes for this. I loved seeing Mark P. again, he epitomizes Lucifer, he does a fantastic job in this role. I thought Jared was great as Sam, and he did an awesome job this episode, I was a little concerned he decided to go to Hell with Crowley and Rowena, not the best choice there, but oh well. I can do without Rowena's/Ruth's overly dramatic acting, she is better when she is more subtle. Poor Sam, I feel so bad for him, but Jared makes you feel every thing he is going thru. I enjoyed Crowley, and I found his concern at the end about the warding going away nice, but I am not sure if he was worried about Sam or himself. I think the spell that Rowena did allowed them to see Lucifer only, not all in the Cage, but I am not sure on that. Dean, what the hell is wrong with you??, snap out of the catatonic state you go in when Amara is near. I am finding this part of the arc, boring as hell. Amara is all powerful, yeah we get it, I guess she couldn't find any better clothes to wear either? The bad writers wrote this, so that explains the sucky dialog, so that explains that. I need to see some real movement on the Dean Amara front or help him snap out of it and come back to himself, this is getting old fast. question- When you have a good friend who is an angel, why wouldn't you ask that friend some questions before going to Hell to see Lucifer? where is Cas?

I marathoned "Quantico" while I could not do much and Mark P. stars in that. After the build-up, very long build-up - I want an OMG moment when we learn the true relationship between Amara and Dean. If this was the final season, I would ask "Will Dean become a God or God-like?" novemberschild I had to laugh and go back to the episode to see what Amara was wearing. She was definitely not wearing a bra. While viewing that scene, I remember that when she opened her mouth, I thought she was going to try to take Dean's soul, but nothing happened. Then she kissed him and he responded with a deep kiss. I yelled "No!!!" They know Castiel would veto any plans that involved Lucifer, but they need his help urgently now. How is Sam going to get out of that cage?
