I enjoyed the MOTW episode and the insight into what is worrying Dean. Eileen was a good character, but after all the build-up for how she would take down the Banshee, I was disappointed. She is also a legacy and a hunter. The only way I can explain the Banshee getting the upper hand is that they were so surprised the Banshee attacked Dean that they forgot the plan was to immediately pin her to the wall. Have they used the gold knife before? I was so amused by Mildred and Eileen signing about hooking up with the Winchester brothers that I had to rewind the show so I could listen to what the guys were saying. I think it was so sweet that Dean and Sam were attracted to members of The Golden Girls. Too bad Dean waited so long to tell Cas about his attraction to Amara because we do not know how Casifer will use the information. My guess is that he will gleefully use Dean as bait to attract Amara. I think Casifer putting his hand on Dean’s shoulder was so unusual that it made Dean suspicious. Other than that, I think Casifer did a good imitation of Castiel, starting with the "Hello Dean." (I bet Misha had to really brush up on Casifer playing Castiel. ) Sam was finally given an opportunity to express how he feels about not looking for Dean when he was in Purgatory and Dean listened. Let me repeat that…Dean listened! Then Dean said he has forgiven Sam and I believe him. That is one good thing that came of Lucifer taking Sam on a journey down memory lane. Eta: I forgot to mention that I loved the end scene. It would make me happy if they ended each episode with a close up of Dean, even if he is stressed out.

This was a wonderful MOTW episode. the guest cast was one of the best ever, especially Dee Wallace, who has the voice I always wanted to have. Enjoyed the backtrack to last week re: Lucifer and Sam and how Sam was now despondent over not searching for Dean while he was in Purgatory. Looks like he's regretting the Amelia months as much as we did! It may have been just a little hokey that Eileen just happened to be hunting the same banshee as Dean and Sam, but I can forgive that. I did enjoy her interactions with Sam. As for Dean and CasLus in the MOL bunker.......WOW! That darn CasLus is gonna play our poor Dean just to get to Amara. I just wish Dean wasn't keeping that a secret from Sam. Why do Dean and Sam keep doing this to each other? It never turns out right. It was hard watching Dean smashing his head against the wall. Someone there should have put a pillow between Dean's head and said wall. At least Eileen was able to signal Mildred to activate the sigil and pin the Banshee so Eileen was able to destroy it. As for Mildred, her attraction to Dean (and his minor attraction to her) was fabulous. I love her. And the signing between her and Eileen was such fun. "I'm over my mountain climbing days," My only question is.....just how long will a deaf hunter last if she can't hear evil sneaking up on her. That didn't make a whole lot of sense. All in all, a great episode with terrific Banshee special effects.

I also thought the Banshee special effects were terrific.

It was another so-so episode for me, it wasn't bad, and it did pick up a little from the last time and give us a tiny bit of closure on something from S8, it as ok for me.
I like that we are getting to hear Sam's point of view, but why does he keep thinking he owes Dean everything, why is he constantly apologizing to Dean? For every bad thing Sam had done, Dean has his own list of things to apologize for, I just don't get it. I can understand why Sam never looked for Dean, hunting took his entire family away from him, and took away all that was important to him, he had no friends, no leads and I can see why he stopped.
It doesn't get more stupid than Dean taking on the MOC without asking any questions, or for both guys to walk out of the warehouse with Abbadon tied up.
Dean being embarrassed by Mildred was funny. Why did Dean steal the pills and what pills were they?
I don't think we have ever seen Cas with his sleeves rolled up, and it was odd to see Lucifer pretend to be Cas, with the fake I'm sorry and the invading personal space the way Cas does.
I agree with you, I think Lucifer Cas will use Dean as bait to get at Amara. Personally I wish they would get that part of the story over with, I find that story boring so far. (Amara) Glad to meet a female legacy and that Sam made a friend, but I am worried about a deaf hunter fighting.

Why did Dean steal the pills and what pills were they? The only pills I remember are the bottles of Viagra. He took them as a clue why a vengeful spirit would attack the man who stole the bottles from other residents..

I think Sam found the stash of Viagra filled pill bottles that the first guy who was killed had stolen from other male residents of the retirement home. When Sam told Dean about it, that's when Dean called it a "real dick move."

I didn't think he took them as a clue, I think he stole them just to steal them, Dean has stolen booze, and money before but I didn't think he would steal Viagra, he normally doesn't seem to need help in that area. I do like that the guys seem to be better at talking this year, and I noticed Dean actually seemed kind of hopeful about retiring, which is out of the norm for him. It also seems like they talk about death more often and I wonder if the show is starting to start the long wrap up. I think we will get a S12 but I think that will be it.
