The Blacklist continues to be one of my favorite series and it is always exciting. In addition to Reddington and Lizzy, the other characters have had expanded story lines that are excellent.
From October 1, 2015 through January 14, 2016, every episode was about the Cabal framing Liz for killing various people and even had her labeled as a spy. She was able to escape but was on the run for months. While on the run, there was some very exciting action. Dembe was spectacular and his heroic performance is one of the reasons Red and Liz survived.
Tom really loves Liz and put his own life in danger several times to play a role in clearing her name. He also showed his romantic side and it is easy to see why Liz fell in love with him.
Agents Ressler and Malik became closer during the crisis but then they had a major falling out. They were forced to team up as partners, but I do not think they will trust each other anytime soon.
Aram, the computer specialist, is in love with Malik and has done some things to help her but it would jeopardize his job if the bosses found out. Aram also used his skill to save Liz when the Cabal came to the Post Office to retrieve and then kill her. He was brave and refused to open the cage for them.
Harold Cooper had a rough time, but he was finally persuaded to help the team protect Liz even though they were breaking every law on the books. His wife was with him when some of the action happened. Their marriage was already on the rocks and after he helped the team, his wife left him.
Every episode is fun to watch and Reddington is always the smartest person in the room.

Liz is pregnant. She wants to give the baby up for adoption as long as the adopted parents agree to let her be part of the child's life. Both Tom and Reddington urge her to keep the child.
Reddington told the FBI about a woman who takes unwanted children and promises them they will live forever and a day. She is not a good person and he believes the children are in danger. The FBI investigated the case but they were always one step behind Red. Red uses these cases to help him achieve something he wants and this case was no different. He wanted to locate the child of a woman who could give him very important information and strike a bargain with her.
Meanwhile, Tom Keen contracted for a job with a woman he used to work with. He knew that was dangerous but he was desperate to get money so he could convince Liz to move away with him and he could support her and the child. The job went perfectly, but when Tom would not agree to be lovers with the woman he was working with, his life took a deadly turn.

Red is now sober and lucid, but he wanted to go somewhere quiet rather than re-join the FBI task force. He went to an isolated cabin where we met Liz's grandfather. He was hostile toward Red, but Red stayed anyway. Both of them were grieving, but the grandfather blamed Red for what happened to his daughter and to his granddaughter.
Meanwhile, the organization that killed Liz was still operating and the FBI could not track them down. Aram was also grieving and was having trouble concentrating on the complex task. After contacting Dembe, Aram went to the cabin, but Red refused to return to the FBI.
I was very pleased to see Tom Keen trying to take care of his tiny baby. He kept at it until he learned to properly swaddle and bottle-feed the baby. I think it was sweet that he was so proud of his success. Of course he wanted to help get revenge on Liz's murderers and the Director finally gave him a task to do. Tom is extremely capable and I know he could run circles around Ressler.
The task force cannot catch a break. Although Aram finally got his mojo back and broke into the mastermind's network, all of the files were destroyed. Alas, the new head of the FBI also seems to be crooked.
Aram's visit did affect Red and at the end of the episode, he knocked on Aram's door.

This was an exciting episode. So much happened I will probably leave something out, but some highlights are:
Reddington, Tom, the FBI team had to work with Solomon's group to trap the person who ordered the kidnapping.
They needed to rob a bank and steal $300 million from a presidential campaign fund to force the guy to meet with them. During the robberty, a child was injured. Tom refused to leave her and heroically got emegency medical help for her.
Tom shot Solomon because of Solomon's comment about Liz. When the police arrived, they saw blood, but Solomon was gone. I wonder where he is.
Tom’s daughter disappeared from the hospital and he was determined to kill Susan Hargrave. However, Hargrave and the FBI had transferred the baby because Alexander Kirk was going to snatch Agnes and use her for leverage.
The big shocker is Reddington informed Tom that Susan Hargrave is his mother; she does not know Tom is her son, and Tom should not reveal the connection. Her son disappeared at the age of 3 years after she and Howard had a big argument, and she had no idea what happened to him. She has mourned his disappearance every day for 28 years. Vanessa is drawn to Tom and has caressed his face several times. She invited Tom to work for her, but he did not give her an answer.
