Dean and Sam were in the bunker and Dean was morose because he can find no clues on how to help Cas or solve their other problems. Sam encouraged him to go on a werewolf hunt so we enjoyed another MOTW episode. But our guys ran into more trouble than one would think fighting werewolves. Those werewolves were giving Sam and Dean a run for the money in hand-to-hand combat. If that was not bad enough, one of them grabbed a gun and shot Sam in the gut. Judging from the dramatic display of pain and agony, gut shots really are the most difficult to bear.
The two people they saved seemed like decent people, but the husband wanted Dean to leave Sam behind because he was slowing them down. If that man knew Dean, he would never have suggested that and he is lucky Dean did not strangle him. As if things were not bad enough, the husband did strangle Sam when Dean went outside to get materials to make a litter for Sam.
Fast forward to the hospital. Dean seemed okay until the Deputy struck him with a Taser, so why did he wind up with a concussion and broken ribs? That is suspicious, but I am not going to accuse the Deputy of giving him a beat down while he was unconscious. Life without his baby brother was too much to contemplate, so Dean did what the Winchesters are known to do. He offered his life for his brother’s. That is one secret I am glad he did not reveal to Sam.
I did not mention the real spoilery stuff in case someone has not had a chance to watch the episode.

Another really good MOTW episode. Both Dean and Sam had stories to tell and they were told well. The girl who played the wife was really good. The sherriff was really cute. too bad he had to get killed by the werewolf. Good to see Sam save Dean at the last minute. The only iffy bit was that Sam, who had been shot in the abdomen, only gets 2 units of blood and is stitched up and sent home? ? Pretty weak. Nice to see the boys hunting again instead of just being mired in the years-long myth arc.

L liked this one more than I thought I would, pretty good story and Sam is one BAMF.
Getting shot and still end up saving Dean, not bad for the big W.
Dean almost broke my heart when he saw Sam on the floor and said "Sammy", for some reason when he says Sammy in that softer tone of voice, it just gets me every time I would have like to have seen more of his reaction, and I was really hoping he would be the one to kill Corbin. I was rooting for that, but it was just as nice to see San kill him.
I think when Dean found Sam he was going to fight the werewolves not just for vengeance , but maybe as a way to die quickly, so he wouldn't have to be without Sam? maybe? For him to try and call Billie, it almost seemed like he didn't really want to live without Sam.
Not sure why Dean lied to Sam, although I wonder if Sam really bought that.
