Each episode has one thing that makes me laugh.
Near the end of “No Debts Remain Unpaid”, there is a funny scene where Xavier and Edie sat in the chairs that Evie’s father made.
In “No, You Say It First”, Timmy was amusing, and Xavier painting the house was funny. In his defense, fuchsia is a beautiful color and it is my favorite.
Xavier sang in this episode, finally!
Cory Casey using a tap to his eyeglasses to schedule meetings, send messages and take pictures was hilarious. I would love to have one of those gadgets.
Deidre and Hank’s meeting with the HR representative was funny.
Xavier is a really sweet man.

The episode was amusing even though it was about people being overworked and fighting with the boss. Xavier, of course, thought of ways to not work so hard and Deidre was unreasonable. But it had its moments.
It was bad enough having Deidre and Hank making out on the job, but now there is Kareema making out with her brother’s fiancée on the parking lot.
Timmy was enthusiastic about landing a job with some news people (I do not know what they are) and joined the strike at Cybermart to get footage for his web news series. I enjoy watching him.
Xavier and Evie were able to scratch “Zorbing” off of their apocalyst.

That was close! There was almost "no tomorrow" for my remaining episodes. I need to watch more carefully. Any time I reach 100 percent, any episode with an exclamation point is vulnerable.

1.09 No Truer Words 12-6-16
Evie turns to Timothy for help after a secret rocks Xavier's world; Kareema tries to be there for her brother; Hank learns someone else is vying for Deidre's affections. I think Deidre was the highlight of this episode. There is a lot more to her than being an evil boss with halitosis. She was a talented dancer and had married the same man twice and they still had chemistry. During the dance contest, Kareema and Hank did much better than I expected and watching those scenes was entertaining. Xavier did an excellent impromptu seminar on what would you do if the world was ending. That went well. There might be "no tomorrow" for Xavier and Evie. He has not told her much about his history and now she is upset about what she learned. I always liked Timothy, but I do not think he and Evie will wind up together.

1.03 No Doubt 10-18-16
Evie wonders if Xavier might be crazy after he gets arrested for his attempt to publicize his apocalypse theory. Over the weekend, I was not aware I would record so many shows, and despite my best efforts, I didn't get warned anything would disappear. My other TiVos do this, but this one didn't.

1.04 No Holds Barred Evie decides to test her personal boundaries when she meets Xavier's free-spirited friend, Tuesday; things between Hank and Deirdre begin to heat up.
Another one that's not there. I just couldn't bring myself to watch any more of these. But I thought I was keeping a close watch on everything. Some "Modern Family" episodes also got zapped but there will be reruns.

1.10 No Soup For You 12-27-16
When Evie (Tori Anderson) confronts Xavier (Joshua Sasse) about his past, Xavier realizes it's finally time to resolve his issues with his father (guest star Steven Brand). Evie uses the time away from Xavier to re-connect with Timothy (Jesse Rath), who's been inspired by her new carpe-diem lifestyle. Hank (Jonathan Langdon) covers for Deirdre (Amy Pietz) when she gets sick, but it quickly gets emotionally complicated for the ex-lovers, and Kareema (Sarayu Blue) makes a shocking discovery about her reputation at work.

I enjoyed "No Soup for You". There was no conclusion to any of the story arcs and there is a big question - will Evie choose Xavier or Timothy?
I have said all along that Timothy is one of my favorite characters and I do not have a preference.

1.03 No Doubt 10-18-16
Evie wonders if Xavier might be crazy after he gets arrested for his attempt to publicize his apocalypse theory. That wasn't as big a part of the episode as I was hoping, though I was disappointed that the professor wanted to throw out the research after giving the impression she wanted to read it. I found an illegal copy. It was a little annoying to have stuff going on in the background but apparently that extra stuff keeps YouTube from regarding it as a copyright violation. Also, at least one person talked like a munchkin. I lost track of which episode had which content. I think in this one Evie had a friend who gave poor customer service and that was funny. And it was the beginning of a problem that went on throughout the next episode which Evie was given the job of solving. I liked seeing her do that. In one episode Evie showed her bra. I liked that. For one thing her bra was pretty.

Another illegal copy! I assume this was the one with the mud wrestling. I liked seeing what Evie was wearing when she did that, but seeing her covered with mud didn't do anything for me. Seeing Evie tear down the wall was the best part of the episode. I have all the other episodes and will watch eventually. I promised Kimba I would respond to something she said. Having episodes online doesn't help if you have to go to so much trouble to see them. I can only see videos at one library, or possibly another that I rarely go to. Other libraries expect me to provide my own headphones and I don't want to. Plus the computers at this one library have been temperamental with authorized network web sites. The "video" is a series of still photos with sound. If it works. Commercials occasionally cause the computer to shut down. One time I got a warning about not enough memory. I guess that's the problem. That and Flash keeps shutting down. Not a problem with illegal YouTube videos. They don't even have commercials!

1.11 No Woman No Cry 1-3-17
Evie struggles with her feelings for Timothy and Xavier; Kareema moves forward in her relationship; Deirdre has doubts about her future. I watched the episode and it was okay. Timothy made a choice to focus on his career rather than be in a love triangle. Good for him. They made it seem like guests who attended a wedding to see Deidre get married would not (possibly) be outraged by the substitution.

Based on the early episodes, I would not have anticipated the season ending the way it did.
I was amused when Jesse found a harmonica and made up a bluesy jailhouse jingle. The northern lights were beautiful.
I like the ending for Xavier, Evie and Timothy. The rest of it seemed farcical.

1.06 No Debts Remain Unpaid 11-15-16
Xavier's unsettled debts catch up to him; Evie tries to mend the rift between her parents; Kareema makes an unexpected new connection; Hank discovers an intriguing secret about Deirdre. I finally had the courage to try another episode. I was so glad Evie's parents got jobs on that pirate ship. That's the one good thing that came out of that pirate cruise. I wondered why Xavier didn't see any problem with all his spending, but then of course he thinks the world will end so he'll never have to pay for anything. Well, that didn't turn out the way he hoped. But he and Evie handled the situation well. I could have done without Kareema's new relationship. I saw Evie and Xavier sitting in the chairs at the end. I seem to recall missing something at the end because someone pushed the wrong button and the episode ended five minutes early. I wanted to see why it did, and it's a good thing I did because the rest of the episode still hadn't aired. And I would have missed the best part.

I have seen some houses painted fuchsia, but I can certainly understand that some neighborhoods wouldn't put up with that. Evie's sister is so uptight but she doesn't want to be. Yeah, what happened to Deirdre (why would anyone name a child that?) and Hank was funny. The gimmick just isn't working in this series. The end of the world hardly gets mentioned. At least that was a constant presence in that NBC series. I enjoyed that one a lot more.

That and Fern being so good looking. It's no wonder Deidre is trying to get people to work more efficiently. Look at all the time people waste. Okay, I have to admit the accountant was funny. I was glad Evie figured out Fern was embezzling. At least that will help her do some good. I'm glad this mess isn't coming back. One season was enough.

The Apocalyst". This was the first week I heard that name. And apparently it has been in every "previously". How did I never notice it? "Salvation" looks like it will be a much more satisfactory story of the apocalypse.

I have said all along that Timothy is one of my favorite characters and I do not have a preference. I felt bad as long as Evie was rejecting Xavier, and I didn't have positive feelings when she was with Timothy. I was rooting for Evie to find a way to save her job. But wasting soup is never a good thing. That sort of thing is a Japanese tradition. I was pleased Xavier met with his father, even if it wasn't a positive experience. His father just couldn't handle losing his wife, so Xavier had to.

They made it seem like guests who attended a wedding to see Deidre get married would not (possibly) be outraged by the substitution. It wouldn't be the first time that has happened on TV. I didn't really think anything about it. Hank's decision was a critical one. You don't want to spend the rest of your life in a small space with someone you don't get along with. I'm happier with Evie being with Xavier. I'm also happy to see Xavier's brother getting his life straightened out.

1.12 No Time Like the Present 1-10-17
Evie tries to keep the gang together after learning the Cybermart Seattle branch will be closing; Xavier makes a shocking breakthrough in his asteroid research.
This was one of the most enjoyable episodes in a while. It didn't even have to include the asteroid, but it did. I was just enjoying watching Evie and the others trying to persuade people in Tacoma to quit their jobs. But then Xavier got to the Cybermart head who helped him meet with the head of NASA. It was beginning to look like Xavier was wrong. But by the end of the episode it was clear they're trying to cover up this disaster. I have mixed feelings. Knowing this isn't coming back, I don't want to watch the last one. I have a whole collection of episodes of cancelled series that I haven't seen. Some are the finale and some are not. But as long as I don't watch the episode, I have another one to watch. And yet the finale promises to be exciting.

Recalling the time Xavier painted that house, you should have seen the house I saw yesterday. Purple and pink. It was beautiful. There was a newspaper missing from the library I had just left and I found it at another branch near this house. I don't know why I had never noticed it.
Also, a contestant (who did get gonged) on "The Gong Show" reminded me of Xavier.
