That was an exciting episode. Mon-El woke up in a fighting mood. I think the strange surroundings alarmed him. He looked like he was running as fast as The Flash.
I think it was good that they introduced a hangout for aliens and that Det. Maggie Sawyer took Alex there. But J’onn knew about it and he did not take Alex there, so he must have had a reason.
Both Kara and Alex are forming alliances and that will help them down the road. Kara is getting along with Lena Luthor and now Don-El. When the President said “You should see my other plane.”, I was sure she was going to be Wonder Woman, after all. But her skin started to turn red and I do not think that happens to Wonder Woman. So, I do not know if she will really be an ally.
The previous episode, Alex complained that she did not date because her whole life has been about Kara. I am wondering if Alex and Maggie are going to become lovers.
I hope J'onn and the last daughter of Mars can be friends, although she did not want to hang around to talk to him.

I don't like Snapper (who I've been calling J. Jonah Jameson because he's that mean) but James seems to be able to control him.
At the same time, Kara had no business expressing opinions. She's not at that point in her career yet. He was right to criticize a slanted story.
I'm liking Alex better than last week but I still want Cat back and Alex will be like Cabe on "Scorpion".
Maggie's too pretty to be a lesbian. By that I mean she's "off limits". Oh, I know she would be anyway ...
For those who remember Kara from "Glee", the football coach was on "2 Broke Girls" and made their lives miserable. When Caroline went to a place that she thought would give her an opportunity to market their new business, the bouncer brought her friends who arm-wrestled and were really tough. Which scared away the customers they really wanted.

2.04 Survivors 10-31-16
While investigating the murder of an unregistered alien, Kara and Alex find an alien fight club run by Roulette; Hank tries to get to know M'Gann better; Supergirl begins to train Mon-El.

It was a good episode and there was a lot of fighting. Alien fight club was a step up from our usual MMA fights.
The big reveal was the last female Red Martian was a fighter in the club. Question: What do you make of the final scene of the episode – immediately after Hank left M’gann’s place? I need to watch that scene again because it was confusing.
Mon-El loves to have a good time, but he seems like an okay guy, with no ulterior motives. I think it was a good idea for Supergirl to volunteer to mentor him. Will he move in with her?
Kara’s new boss is a grouch, but he is giving her good writing tips. I wondered if she would use Supergirl as a source because she can always back up her comments. Plus, Supergirl would be viewed as a reliable source.

They reworked the intro to show Superman's face instead of blurring it. That was nice.

I said this elsewhere but I might as well put the entire explanation in one place. I had to go to a funeral today, and that meant I went somewhere yesterday rather than today. My normal routine is to stay home on Monday, Wednesday and Friday except for the college library.
Had I stayed home I would have known in time. I chose yesterday to read newspapers and I saw an article about Bill Murray getting the Mark Twain Prize. I knew the show aired last night and I hadn't yet set it to record. It said it wouldn't because four shows were recording. Actually none were. Because my cable had been out since 6. By the time I realized what was happening and called, only to get a message saying in my area Internet and phone were out (what about TV???), the show was over. I'll watch the rerun. They're good about reruns. I checked to see if I could record with an antenna. "Jane the Virgin" appeared to be fine (is that still on? Is she still a virgin?) but that wasn't what I wanted. Cable was back this morning. My last call to the cable company did get me a message that TV was also out.
I didn't use the Internet, but I could have. That's the phone company.

Supergirl's new boss is Snapper Carr. That is a strange name, but the "snapper" suits him.
We know Roulette/Veronica Sinclair from "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." and "The 100".
