Anton Yelchin (Pavel Chekov) died tragically almost a month prior to the film's release.
His death was ruled a bizarre accident. Allegedly, he was driving his car and exited the security gate at his home. For an unknown reason, he got out of the car and walked back to the gate. The car drifted back and crushed him to death.

This is an excellent movie. The action, drama and humor are very entertaining.
They gave a nod to "Star Wars" and to the original Star Trek crew.
