A love letter to the supernatural classics of the 80's, Stranger Things is the story of a young boy who vanishes into thin air. As friends, family and local police search for answers, they are drawn into an extraordinary mystery involving top-secret government experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one very strange little girl.
Stranger Things stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer, Cara Buono, Charlie Heaton, and Matthew Modine.
Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer (Wayward Pines, Hidden) serve as writer, directors and co-showrunners of the series, and are executive producers along with Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen via their 21 Laps entertainment banner (The Spectacular Now, Night At The Museum, Real Steel, Date Night). Shawn Levy also serves as director. Stranger Things is a Netflix original series.

TWD's Judith was really pretty and adorable in this series. I wondered how they got her to react the way she did, but I have learned that her reactions were unscripted. Fantastic!
Every Netflix series is awesome. I appreciate the way they have recently dropped entire seasons at one time and invited fans to binge.
This series has received high marks across the board and it deserves them.

I probably need to watch S1 again to catch all of the references to Stephen King, Dungeons & Dragons, and multiple science fiction favorites. I was too focused on the characters to observe all of the wall posters and book titles. It was the same way with "Supernatural". When I re-watch an episode, I observe a lot more of the references.

Season 2 is coming!
Start toasting your waffles, Stranger Things fans: Netflix has revealed the summer hit will return in 2017 with nine episodes. If you’re doing your Stranger Things math, that’s one more chapter than the first installment.
Things, about a small town dealing with an interdimensional portal and one (or more) really gross monsters, has become THE show of the summer with its homages to ’80s classics and charming cast of newcomers.
“We’re really excited about continuing the story,” says Matt Duffer. “There’s a comfort factor in that we know people love and have responded to this world and these characters. As much as possible, we’re trying to approach it the same as season 1, which is to write stuff that we’re excited about and we think is cool. The hope is that it translates to the fans and that people fall in love with it again.”
Adds Ross: “Just like we treated the first season like a big movie, we wanna treat this like a big movie as well and we don’t wanna coast on these characters. We’re trying to swing for the fences on this one.”

Stranger Things 2 was excellent, but it was also scary. I had to take a couple of breaks from watching because my stomach tensed and caused the muscles to hurt. There was a lot of danger, anxiety, and fear which was overcome by courage, love, desperation and heroics.
The series was not predictable and I knew anyone could die.

Stranger Things 3 was exciting. There were only 8 episodes but some episodes were longer than an hour. Some of the good characters died, but I guess they did that because it would not have been realistic for everyone to survive.
