I enjoyed this exciting episode. There was a major battle between Cain and Amenadiel. Their fight destroyed Lucifer's club.

Ella kept protecting her brother and declared he was not a criminal. Maze took deadly aim with one of her knives and saved Ella's life. We learned a lot about her family, but Lucifer learned something about her brother that he will hide from her.

I laughed really hard at Linda's expression when Charlotte arrived at her office for counselling. Her reaction was understandable since "God's wife" previously tried to kill her.

When a murder investigation reveals the dark side of Hollywood, Chloe puts her life on the line to protect an innocent victim; Lucifer comes up with a scheme to help Cain, but when Amenadiel and Maze get involved, things don't go as planned.

This was an entertaining episode. Lucifer had a brilliant idea to solve Cain's problem. He suggested resurrecting Abel and if Abel is alive, it should erase the stigma of murder and Cain would no longer be marked/cursed. The resurrection occurred, but not exactly as planned. Cain remained cursed. Amenadiel is determined to return Abel to hell and Maze kept interfering.

My son-in-law called and asked if I recognized Cain. He said he knew he recognized him, but it took until the 3rd episode for him to realize the Smallville connection. If I knew he watched Lucifer, I would have mentioned it right away.

Chloe is not a favorite, but her little demon daughter is a riot! I love Mazikene, and she is training the little girl to be a warrior. Very funny.

I am glad Cain stayed because he adds some mystery to the relationships. Is he really interested in hanging our with Chloe or does he want to provoke Lucifer? 

It was so funny when Dan was trying to give Cain a pep talk and Cain told him how he felt about life. Wow, that was a real downer. But Amenadiel and Cain seemed to come to an amiable agreement.

When Maze was staring at the gift Linda gave her, I thought she would have a change of heart, but she snapped it in half.

The Last Heartbreak

The Last Heartbreak

Although the serial killer case was serious, there was a lot of laugh out loud moments. Amenadiel was asked what he wanted, and he responded with a drawn-out monologue about wanting to know what his father wanted of him. Then the barista suggested a flavor of coffee.

Cain’s interest in Chloe clearly upset Lucifer and Lucifer told him to back off, but Cain calmly continued to do whatever he wanted. I was almost convinced Cain was really interested in Chloe until he made a comment at the end of the episode that made me doubt his interest…again.

I was unaware that Amenadiel did not know Charlotte was alive and well until be bumped into her in the coffee shop. He was so startled, he called her “Mom” and expressed joy that she survived.

Maze is still ranting, and she is getting worse. Her demon side is showing.

Orange Is the New Maze

When Maze is the prime suspect in a murder, Lucifer and Chloe enter the world of bounty hunting to investigate; Charlotte makes a big discovery that calls her sanity into question; Chloe admits she's dating someone.

Maze continues to be angry and frustrated and asked Lucifer to fly her back to Hell. He refused to do that and she threw a tantrum and left. Later, it appeared she killed a man and she turned herself into the police. Most of the people who knew her kept defending her and declaring she was not the type of person to kill a man. Of course, Maze has killed many people, but she did not kill that particular man.

Chloe and Pearce have been on several dates and are getting closer. Lucifer is upset about that, but there is nothing he can do. I enjoy seeing Pearce's little smirk when he sees Lucifer is upset. It is all part of Pearce's plan to achieve his goal.

I saw a movie yesterday where Lucifer was a character. He was deliciously evil. It was a Western where those who had died but not been judged could be granted the chance to return to Earth and take revenge. And if they did, their souls belonged to Lucifer. I'm not a fan of this sort of thing but if I'm not going to pay for more than the broadcast channels, I have to watch what I can get. Considering how little time I have to watch anything, this was not something I should have risked losing other shows for. But you never know what a movie is going to be like.

Maze is still hell bent on doing something that will force Lucifer to return her to hell because she is frustrated with her life on earth. I am concerned that she will kill Lucifer's brother Amenadiel. She might follow through on her plan to kill Cain, but that would not be as much of a shock.

I saw that that this series is returning on one of those streaming services. I also saw an article saying that even though they had a cliffhanger that meant the show HAD to be renewed, they did not.

Lucifer was picked up by Netflix. I will be able to continue watching it.

The fans and cast had an ongoing #renewLucifer campaign that was very popular.
