It was stated on the Emmys some people want Milo to die. I agree.
However, he still ended up on the Gilmore Girls update, so it's too late for that to do us any good. Besides, just because he dies on one series doesn't mean he'll die on another.
I saw entirely too much misery when Bow gave birth on "black-ish". If this show is any worse, I'm glad I stayed away.

The above post belongs on the Season 2 thread.
Sterling Kathleen was on "Saturday Night Live" this past week. He started with a monologue that was mostly crying. Of course, it was supposed to be funny and the audience did laugh. Leslie Jones was quite annoyed.
There was a sketch where he was a doctor for a man with a sexual problem, and one where he met the parents of a girl he was dating (all were white, but that never came up) and they were arguing about this and that.
But these were the most memorable sketches.
Steve Harvey, played by Kenan Thompson, hosted the Oscars edition of Family Feud. Sterling was on the losers team as Common, and he was very annoying (and of course funny) sounding like Kanye if Kanye cared about issues and not just Kanye.
Sterling was also an ancestor of Black Panther, but the sketch was mostly an annoying uncle (also Kenan).
There was a fake commercial for a new TV series called "This Is U.S." where Sterling played Ben Carson. Someone congratulated him on becoming Surgeon General but was very confused when he admitted what his actual job was. Other cast members played officials in Trump's administration. The show was described as being like "This Is us' but without the parts that make you feel good. in other words, mostly just crying.
Other fake TV series mentioned were a show that follows the show called "This Was Them" (I assume this was supposed to be like "Talking Dead") and the black version with an adopted white child called "This Us".

Thanks. I moved the post. I do not know if the "K" in Brown's name is "Kathleen", but I doubt it. Your summary sounds interesting, so I am downloading the episode. It might take hours to download because Verizon's internet is not good for downloading. If that does not work, I will watch on the tablet or cell phone. The skits with "Ben Carson" and "This Is Us" + "mostly just crying" sound too funny to miss. "This Us" made me laugh out loud. Thanks for the recap.

Those skits are very funny, but I would have missed them if you had not talked about them. I watched the "Black Panther" movie and I am a fan of Common so everything was quite amusing to me.

Winston on "New Girl" met the man Jess thought was his father. She did a Google search for the man with the correct name, and the man assumed Jess was right about his being Winston's father. When they met they became the best of friends and Winston even wanted them to be like the two black guys on "This Is Us".
But the man said something that made it clear he couldn't be Winston's father.

I watched it. I definitely believe I would have enjoyed seeing Sterling K meet his father and the happy scenes they had together. But I didn't want to see the sad scenes. I couldn't figure out who the young black man was but now I believe that's his father given the makeup job they did on Mandy.
I do want to see Jack and Rebecca meet. I didn't have the courage to record tomorrow night's episode given the summary. It looked depressing. But next week's didn't have a summary. Yes, I will record it just in case.
Why did they have to show us all of Milo? Why couldn't that have been Mandy?
And why couldn't it have been Mandy in just her panties?

Chrissy was on "Superstore" but I've only seen the commercial, and I didn't like her. It was a larger episode than most.

Two cast members were on "Pyramid". Toby wore a hat. Just like Toby from "Scorpion". I had to think who he was. I remembered the episode where they told us about the show and he was Chrissy's boyfriend.
I still haven't seen the first episode for free but I have to see them meet before I can watch the others. I think I'm going to like these people.

Good news! Toby wore a different hat on "Pyramid" but I was reminded to check to see if, now that I have Hulu, that makes it possible for me to watch the first episode.
I can, and it's next on my list. All the ones I recorded will follow.

I was disappointed Kevin didn't show up on "Crisis on Infinite Earths" seeing as how they showed the farm from "Smallville". I thought there might be more from that show but given what happened to Oliver, Kevin has other commitments and couldn't very well replace him. So they just won't replace him.

I found out online that a lot of stations pre-empted "30 Rock" last night, calling it a blatant promotion for NBC shows and the new Peacock streaming service. So I had to go online to find out that Jenna is hated by pretty much everyone for doing something disgusting to Mandy's thermos. Mandy made a brief appearance where she was supposed to accept Jenna's apology or whatever and sing, but she wasn't happy about it. And pretty much everyone including Mandy was on Zoom.

parade.com/1076573/paulaspencer/mandy-moore-this-is-us/I think this is the article that appeared in the actual Parade magazine in the actual newspaper that was delivered yesterday. There's a gorgeous picture on Mandy on the cover. If she's getting better as she gets older, she must really be getting better in the scenes set in the present day. I was looking up something else and was reminded all episodes of this show are free. If I can figure out how to watch on an actual TV instead of the desktop, I'm going to start from the beginning. I would have yesterday but I can't believe how much time I spent on the computer.

I was looking up something else and was reminded every episode is free. I knew this but was trying to avoid watching more episodes on my desktop than I had to. Now that I am going to church again and don't have to watch sermons online, I'm going to watch this series from the beginning.

Okay, I watched the pilot. I am so glad I knew these people before I watched it. I did NOT need to see Jack's rear end.
I've liked Gerald McRaney for years but he was really good as the doctor.
I really liked Kevin's TV series, until he had his meltdown. I didn't really like seeing that. I respected his standing up for quality and was glad he did a scene that was worth seeing, until they told him they wanted to do it differently.
Randall meeting his father happened more quickly than I would have expected. I would think he'd appreciate that this loser (who cleaned himself up, but it might not have been in time to give Randall a good life) didn't raise him, and that he turned out better because he had good parents.
I was looking for funny and this episode had that.
I was at least prepared for what happened to Baby No. 3. If I hadn't known anything I would have really hated that. I seem to recall that there will be much more of Rebecca's reaction. I knew that on this show they wouldn't try to get away with it by Rebecca seeing the three babies and asking, "Honey, why is one of our babies black?" Rebecca is going to go through some pain and I have to prepare for that.
There was no clue until the firefighter lit a cigarette in a hospital. I knew what year it was. Then we saw Uncle Walter.

Once again, I was so happy to already know some details.
I knew who Miguel was. I do wonder how Jack got home after three shots.
But when Randall's kids said hello to their grandparents, I already knew who that was going to be. I wondered how long it would take before we saw present-day Rebecca. I didn't even think about Beth's parents but we know now only her mom is still alive.
Seeing William with his grandchildren was nice. But Beth was right to be bothered.
I kept hoping Kevin could solve his problem. It was nice to see Katey Sagal anyway. I did like seeing Kate and Toby have a good time even if it required getting drunk.
And I wasn't aware Kate's problems went back so far. Rebecca was trying to get her to eat fruit but not the boys. What has happened to Rebecca's hair?
And Kevin and Randall have never really gotten along.
Even with the more negative situations I was enjoying it enough that I considered watching another episode. But I spent too much time on the computer yesterday and I have tried, but no one can tell me a way to watch on the TiVo that doesn't involve paying. These are free.

It was when I saw clips of Randall and William together that I decided I wanted to watch this show. Seeing them together is still what I like best.
I am so glad I already knew Rebecca kept the truth from Randall. And now we know where he got his name. I had read Kyle was the stillborn child but it turns out that was Randall's name until Rebecca got the idea to change it so she could bond with the child and stop thinking about the one she lost. I'm not sure there is proof Kyle is actually the name of the other child.
I did like seeing Rebecca with William in the past. And that hat looked so cute on her. It's understandable she told William to stay away. She wanted to know the child would really be hers. But it was nice to see how much Randall was loved and, while we know we'll see more of the story, that the parents had a good relationship.
I really like Toby at this point and even liked his attempt to get Kate to perform. I'm a little worried about Kevin because he is obligated to the series, plus who knows if he can make it on Broadway.
I actually like the show enough I want to see more, but I'm on the computer way too long on Sundays as it is. That's the one day I have time because I was watchign church services and now I don't have to.

They cheated! I had seen almost everything that happened at the pool in another episode.
I continue to enjoy Randall and William together.
I even like Toby at this point and Kate got a job that lets her keep an eye on Toby's gorgeous ex.
Hard to believe Kevin got the part because he messed up so bad, but having the Manny be a draw is worth something. Maybe Kevin can make it work.

Toby was on "Match Game" last week. One of the contestants had weighed 500 and lost 200 pounds> I was surprised Toby didn't respond and then I realized only his character has had a similar experience. The actor wore a fat suit.
I didn't realize Rebecca was so old. 29 and no children yet? And it's hard to imagine her without children now, but she sure has been having a hard time in earlier episodes.
I liked seeing Rebecca learn football to please Jack.
Miguel is married and has children?
And those who saw the episodes as they aired learned Jack is deceased. I already knew this, of course.
Kevin really messed up as a real-life Manny but he made up for it.
William is a great character.
Too much negative stuff was happening after I enjoyed what was going on.

Okay, still no summaries to respond to and already one spoiler. Miguel lets someone wear a pilgrim hat.
William can sing! I didn't know what he did for a living, but now I apparently do.
Randall should not have tried singing. He should have let someone with a more interesting career take his place.
Meanwhile, it's interesting to see Randall getting a chance to go to a really good school, even though it appears he might not like it. Reminds me of "black-ish" because everyone else at the school is white, but the affluent parents there are black, and the kids seem to like it. Wait ... Jack's not affluent. He's having to decide whether to take advantage of his friendship with Miguel rather than get a great job on his own.
Muffy from "Square Pegs", the shows that made Sarah Jessica Parker a star (she was a nerd on that show and Muffy was the cool but annoying girl), has hired Kate. The daughter thinks it's because Kate is fat and can help the daughter with her image problems. I didn't even notice the girl's weight. I just noticed she was attractive and shallow. I was concerned Kate's response to the girl's rudeness would get her in trouble and, in fact, Kate said the mother could have her arrested. I think that's overdoing it. But it appears things are fine and Kate's skills are being taken seriously.
Kevin can't show grief? We know he lost his father. We don't know how long ago at this point. But it took his co-star dragging him to a stranger's wake and lying. Kevin really gave the impression he belonged. And it was clear he was learning what he needed to do.
What really surprised me was "It's not my job to convince you." Well, yes, actually, it is. That's the very definition of being an actor.
Rebecca in a towel! Young Kate thinks she's so pretty.
